I think Punk could do better than Lesnar, relatively speaking. What I mean is, Lesnar's biggest hole (other than diverticulitis) was that he didn't want to get touched, AT ALL, and it showed every time he got tagged (Carwin, Cain). A lot of that is because he never wanted to get really pushed in training and never wanted to get out of his own comfort zone.

Punk will have none of that, who knows if he can take a punch in a pro fight, but he certainly won't shy away from it in training. I figure that if he doesn't want to get tagged in training after getting into it, he'll know that fighting for real isn't going to be for him.

All that said, as to my "could do better than Lesnar" is that he could go for a while longer, more wins, maybe earn more overall respect, but I don't think he'll ever come close to winning a belt in the UFC. He certainly won't win a belt at 185 or 170, there's entirely too many top level guys that he would have to get through, and that's not counting the guys who are jockeying for a shot at getting there as well.

Dana White isn't stupid, he knows UFC perfected is legitimate fights with that "WWE atmosphere"... we're seeing the two genreras share more and more talent. Look at who WWE has been signing to the Performance Center the last few years. Yeah, some indie stand outs but they're also snatching up collegiate and Olympic level armatures with nothing else doin'. Punk has as good a chance in UFC than anyone, he's a millionaire that's best buddies with the Gracie family. He's tough as nails, you have to be to be a pro wrestler. I'm a casual MMA fan at best, but I'm paying attention... and that's the point isn't it?

It'll be really disappointing if he just gets his shit kicked in, but if he goes in there and makes a legit go of it? His stock is going to rise soooo high. It's nothing but good for pro wrestling, so good on the man.

I absolutely hope he blows up and has a good run, almost anything would be better than his first fight being an abject failure of an experience.

DAT NXT (R)EVOLUTION~!

Jesus fuck.

The fact that they got that swerve over on ONE segment and ONE appearance of Owens on TV shows the strength of those characters and the faith that the NXT staff has in the future of the business.

Jesus. The Fuck. Christ.

My wiener is so weird right now.

So I hear that Triple H essentially completely produces and books this show and that NXT is his baby. Vince still pulls the strings in WWE main.

Is it wrong to wish for Vince's death?

I fucking need the WWE network.

I want it hooked into my god damned veins so fucking badly but WWE and Sky are completely dicking us in the UK.

I'm going to have to pirate (R)Evolution and blame it on the fact that nobody can get their shit together so that I can watch it legally.

Do it, that show is the best wrestling show I've seen in so damn long.

That was such a fun fucking wrestling show. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are going to OWN 2015.

This. And I hope they don't deprive us of all combinations of Generico, Steen, Devitt and KENTA in singles matches for the NXT title. Seriously, I want to see all four of those guys work each other, war over the title, then graduate to the main roster a year or so from now.

What about Hulu? They show it on Hulu, dunno if that's available over there. It should be, considering how much "Brittish" comedy they show.

I have the most appropriate boner ever for Wrestle Kingdom. I know I'm way behind but finding out that Good Ole JR is calling it in English really adds a lot of value.

Maybe I can get him to do commentary on Tampopo? (Oh GAWD she just dunked the noodles!)

I loved the show, the only matches I didn't really get into were the UWFi rules match and the IWGP HW Tag Title match. If they continue to produce English speaking commentary, I'll continue to support them. This was so much better than any WWE PPV that I can't even explain it.

How about that Apron Suplex from Ibushi? amirite?

The Genetic Jackhammer himself has announced the WWE network will be available in the UK and Ireland on Monday 19th January.

And he means it this time.

I'll believe it when I see it.

And I don't mean that.

I literally don't believe it.

My hopes =/= up.

Now I can start getting my hopes up.

The WWE network is now available in the UK!

Just gotta get through work and I can go home and watch Bash At The Beach '96 for the first time ever.

#RAWlternative tonight on YouTube, kiddos. Beyond Wrestling and a bunch of indie companies all over North America are giving a showcase of their best matches from 2014 to get people to watch wrestling other than RAW.

My suggestion? After that go a little farther back, watch all the EARLY Starrcade matches with Dusty and Flair. All the old NWA Crockett promotions / early early WCW stuff is so much fun. You can't really go wrong with the 80's no matter where you look. I also personally had a lot of fun with 89 - like 91 WWF. That period was a hell of a lot of fun.

EDIT

Ohhh, also the old Legends of Wrestling round table discussion show hosted by Okerland, JR and Joey Styles over its tenure. Just like five or six legends shooting the shit about a random wrestling topic. All of them are good.
