For the hell of it...heh.
I started in fantasy wrestling at age 14 with the IWA. You know, that crappy little play-by-mail thing. That was around 1989 or so.
When I got Prodigy in the early days I learned of the e-wrestling movement there. I was in AJ Honold's "stable" in the IWA so he introduced me to all of that. I wasn't into what was going on with it though mostly because I think at the time most were just "handling" real wrestlers and trying to write as people they saw on TV. That didn't appeal to me, so I stayed away.
I stuck with the IWA, and it wasn't until Chad Dupree - who had been recruited into our stable in IWA - prodded me to come to the online scene. AJ tried to get me to try out CSWA at this time too which is what led the the ill-fated Greensboro Title Tourney appearance by "The Ego Buster", the early incarnation of Dan Ryan. I never posted a single roleplay and was summarily jobbed out.
Instead I stuck with Dupree's NBW, which became NThWA, which became GXW ...and so on. The rest is history.
So yeah - this year makes 16 for me.
