El Jefe's Chad Merritt and Stephen Thomas actually started up CSWA back then, and have been at this wonderful hobby ever since.

LOL... some of the "Member Since" dates are actually based on the dates we started in the hobby, etc. as Tom mentioned. I think a lot of those were carried over from the old CSWA RP Central boards where we were able to update the dates for everyone.

Well, it was also Chad and Steve alone for the first three, four years. No wonder they were so happy when Katz joined up. ;)
For that matter, I just looked in the admin area and have no idea how to modify my own 'Member Since' thing to the time I really joined the CSWA - January 95.

I didn't join CSWA till 92 or 93.

In 1991, I was in PYRA, then Doug Hamsher's league while running the premiere UWL Superfederation at the time, WCFW. It was the breeding ground for such popular characters as Mike Randalls, Craig Miles...not handled by me at the time, I designed them and gave them to handlers...and who could forget Pestillence, Mighty Impala and Zack Sirus.

Yeah, I started out in 97-ish I think myself, one or two cards before the World Title Tournament that Spawned the "Era of Eddy" as I like to call it. :)

For the hell of it...heh.

I started in fantasy wrestling at age 14 with the IWA. You know, that crappy little play-by-mail thing. That was around 1989 or so.

When I got Prodigy in the early days I learned of the e-wrestling movement there. I was in AJ Honold's "stable" in the IWA so he introduced me to all of that. I wasn't into what was going on with it though mostly because I think at the time most were just "handling" real wrestlers and trying to write as people they saw on TV. That didn't appeal to me, so I stayed away.

I stuck with the IWA, and it wasn't until Chad Dupree - who had been recruited into our stable in IWA - prodded me to come to the online scene. AJ tried to get me to try out CSWA at this time too which is what led the the ill-fated Greensboro Title Tourney appearance by "The Ego Buster", the early incarnation of Dan Ryan. I never posted a single roleplay and was summarily jobbed out. :) Instead I stuck with Dupree's NBW, which became NThWA, which became GXW ...and so on. The rest is history.

So yeah - this year makes 16 for me. ;)

Yay now I don't feel old. I had stumbled across efeding stuff dating back to 94 for me. I think I started before then, but that is the oldest I've seen anything dated back for me. That meant I've been efeding since I was 10. Sadly enough my grammar and spelling are undoubtably the same. :p

You rotten S$%TBAG! :) Take your spell checker and cram it down your throat! Did I spell that right Mr. Clown Shoes? :)

Oh yeah ... IWA 92 or 93 when I started. Met AJ and Pat Grady there and they brought me to the FW scene.

Quit singing Steve ... Rod is NOT on! ;)

Erik, please understand...

This is Steve when it comes to typical weekend ventures.

Rod Stewart volume up, and the Olsen Twins video series volume down, with nothing but Kool-aide and Peanut Butter all day.

I'm barely holding out EZ, but you....you're defenses are weak.

Just learn to like it Erik....Learn to like it.
