1. NFW: You know what I really love about NFW right now? It probably has the most unique roster in FW at the moment. I'm seeing more and more handlers join from random PTC/Internet leagues, and many of them have pretty unique writing styles. High Flyer is the champion over in FWO and has some really good stuff, American Panda just joined and I'm already impressed with him, plus Leary has Dos Equis/FutureEquis. Then you have JTP and Impulse who are NFW exclusives, along with a bunch of others. I'd have to say NFW looks a lot different now than it ever did at any point in it's history.
As for constructive criticism, we just need to get these cards out a little faster. I understand people are busy, but if you volunteer for a match it shouldn't take any longer than a week and a half/two weeks to finish it. Plus, if we all finish our matches on time, that means we get to drunkenly harrass Katz via IM, and really there's no greater pleasure in life...
2. WFW:NE: Still too new to judge. I love the idea of having two brands within a greater league, but there needs to be more exclusivity. NEW and WFW should have distinct rosters, I think that would really help things along. Other than that, Miller and Edmunds really brought back a lot of retired handlers, and that's a good thing for the forums. The league has a lot of potential.
3. EPW: Brunk really runs a tight ship. I love that the cards are usually out in a reasonable time frame, and that's really helped progress storylines, etc. The league has an exceptionally strong roster. Wrestleverse III had an awesome RP turnout, which was cool. Aggression is weird, because some cards get a great turnout, and then others are plagued with no-shows, but such is the nature of FW.
4. TEAM: Just refer to my blog post on the matter! No, actually, please don't. OK, obviously I've been through some of the changes I feel TEAM needs to make in the future, but it is what it is. For the most part, they've had great turnout, the results just need to be posted much quicker.
5. Billy F.'s Blog: Total e-rag.
6. Holzerman's Blog: Nice to see him updating more, now that he's sort of in semi-retirement or something? I'm definitely a fan.
7. Stanton's Blog: Probably the most interesting read out of all the blogs when it comes to e-fedding issues, what works/what doesn't, etc. There's all kinds of info there that could help handlers and Fedheads alike. People always mark for threads on FWC that spark good debate on stuff like this...well, go and comment on Stanton's blog, cause there's a ****load of that.
8. Stables in E-fedding: Eh, depends. Stables need to have an expiration date. The problem with stables in both pro wrestling and e-fedding is that nobody knows when to say when. There needs to be an end result, a payoff. Stables shouldn't get too big, otherwise they wind up swallowing the leagues they're in. Each member should have a distinct reason as to why they've joined, and if being in the stable doesn't benefit them they need to leave. Otherwise, it's all "all for one" and "none for all."
9. Shortforming vs. Longforming matches: Obviously I prefer longforming, but shortforming is one of those necessary evils. I'd rather read a shortformed match than be forced to wait months for a longform. True, match psychology suffers when shortform is used, but it just gets to a point where the league's momentum has to be considered. I don't care how "epic" of a match you wrote, if it takes a couple months to write it you've hurt the league, end of story. Moral of the story: just force yourself to sit down and write, pace yourself, and you'll get that longform epic out on time so that shortform won't be necessary. Also, matches that aren't main event don't need to be 20 pages long. Just a thought.
10. Tag Teams in e-fedding: I'd like to see more of them. Brunk's call for tag teams seemed to work for EPW, and NFW has a nice handful.
11. The State of the Main Event Scene across FW.com: As always, NFW has some superb main event writing. Mayfield/JTP is the show right now, and there's more to be written, so I won't bother speculating. However, I hope that either Mayfield steps into the ring and faces JTP in a blowoff match by year's end, or he finds himself a heel to back against Joe. The two characters have some really good chemistry, but Joe is still champion and a champion needs a challenger.
In EPW, I'd like to see the inevitable Stevens/Westcott feud start to play out. Also, don't sleep on First/Stevens. There's unfinished business there, and I'd love to see a second match.
WFW: NE is still too new right now, but the potential for main event gold is there.
12. Favorite Moments in FW.com Feds This Year: The emergence of Vivi.
13. Favorite Characters this year: JTP, Impulse, The First,
14. Favorite Angles this year: Um, I guess I kinda liked them all?
15. Favorite Moments this year: See 12.
16: Favorite insult of Tom Siegel: His birth.
17. Favorite Show This Year: Wrestleverse III, although Crash 50 is gonna be off the wall when it happens.
18. Why is Billy Ferraro making such reasonable arguments about Brock Lesnar being overrated? Probably because he's readying all the Brocktards out there for his inevitable death at the hands of Emlianenko Fedor.
19. Why was math taken over by
VAMPIRES? Oh I DON'T KNOW.
