[We open. I could go into detail, but, hey, what do I care? Just kidding. We’re in some form of a sitting room fire ablaze, a glass of scotch sitting in the hand of Steve Burke, as he relaxes on a couch. Rock ‘n’ roll time.]

Burke: If there’s one thing that you’ll learn about me, it’s that I make no excuses. Unlike many people, when I lose, I tip my cap, and I move on with business, like a man. I’ve been in this industry long enough to know that you don’t always get what you want. And at Destrucity, I didn’t get what I want. But, C’est la vie…

The law of averages went against me. I fell off the horse. And now, it’s time to get back in the saddle, and get on with business. It’s time to head into this Sin City Showdown, full of zest and vigour, and put a W firmly in the win column, for the New Era of Wrestling. Ironic in some ways, that Mr. Old School should be about to put himself on the line for the New Era, but it is within that irony, that, I so graciously revel.

I am a man who believes in loyalty to one’s company. You don’t bite the hand that feeds you, rather, you work to put more food into that hand. And that is exactly what I plan to do come Sin City Showdown. Sure, I may be just a rookie in the eyes of my colleagues, but trust me, I know what I’m doing in there.

[Burke takes a sip from his glass.]

Kenneth Williams. EPW has sent you into the battle zone to attempt to draw first blood in this battle between two companies, but, my friend, that is something I simply cannot allow. And in some ways, I feel bad for you, I really do. It’s been a busy week for Uncle Stevie, yes it has. After my loss, I have spent all the time I could training, preparing, to avenge my loss, and take a step back to where I want to be - the top of the New Era.

So think what it’ll mean for me if I can put you away. I’m sure management would be only too happy to grease my palms a little bit, if you know what I mean. So, Williams, I look forward to seeing you in the ring. Rest assured, I’ll be bringing my best. See ya real soon, bud.
