“Everything is a blur to me … like that’s something new.”
Leaning forward, he sat in his chair with his hands covering his face. With his elbows digging into his thighs for support, he sat in the humid room pondering his thoughts. Its been roughly a year since he was last seen and a plethora of events he has encounter with each passing minute. Each event more damning and damaging than the previous.
“How could I let this happen? What have I done? Dear Lord what have I done …”
Events he has tried to clear out of his mind again and again, but to no avail. Many things he has seen … that he has witnessed … that he has been apart of, but with each result has been the feeling of a dagger piercing his heart with no let up in sight.
Looking up for a moment, he looks towards the window where sunlight beams through the glass onto his face. For the first time a new look appears on the man that we would never expect to hold such a pose. From the comical and lushed moniker he has been known for in the past is all but wiped away with sadness and remorse.
Getting up, the huge six foot ten makes his way towards the window and looks out towards the distance. A passing bird, a car here and there, and several Windy City citizens can be seen making their way back and forth as he looks on. Reaching off towards his right, he brings a bottle towards his lips and takes a huge swig of the contents. Leaning forward, he presses his forehead on the glass and looks down.
“It wasn’t even my fault. I had no control over my actions … it wasn’t my fault …”
With his hair brushing down the sides of his face, he continues to look down and the passers-by continue to not notice him.
