(Fade in to Steve Johnson standing in front of the WFW backdrop wearing black warm up pants and a black WFW T-shirt. He holds the microphone in his right hand and begins to speak in a hyper tone)

(Steve Johnson)

I can’t believe the opportunity that has finally presented itself to me tonight, in just a few hours I will be in the ring with twenty men looking to tear me apart, either because I am too cocky, or too terrible, or too young. I know that its always the young guy who the veterans want to haze so that they can choke out any young challengers to their reign. So instead of really saying why I will win the match, I will tell you that I win this match, I will prevent the following men from becoming possibly the next world champion.

First imagine John Doe as world champion, in that world, we would see the fans worst dreams come true. Instead of coming to see the same somber violent guy, we would have to see the world’s first rate quitter, and worst talker. After I show you a sign of respect, you come and dis me in front of the fans. Well why don’t you explain to the fans and the guys in the locker room, that after you won rookie of the year, that you tanked every match after that and every chance you had at being someone. Brag about your pin over Benjamin, because after the rumble you won’t have something to brag about.

Next imagine Rocko Daymon as world champion, it would be like hearing your Grandpa tell you about how it was and how he fixed the problems of the world when he became champion. Now Rocko, as much as I want to say negative things about you, I can’t because I respect you. Hearing your success stories as champion, and seeing your victories would be great, but not when they come at the expense of my own career. Rocko much the same way I respect Jean, I could say the same to you, but if its me and you, your one chicken wing suplex over the top rope away from being yesterdays sure thing.

Now imagine a world in where Adam Benjamin is champion. In this world the federation would see technical wrestling at a premium and a true shift towards science. However Adam, I don’t think you are better than me. I think that end of the day you couldn’t beat me. When the chips were down in that hardcore battle royal you folded faster than superman on laundry day. I think you are a great wrestler, but I don’t think this match will be the one that propels you to your championship, but be assured that when I am champion I will offer you the opportunity to showcase what our wrestling is about.

Next imagine a world where Felix Red is champion. We already have experienced his reign of terror as president, and if he beat Anarky we would see an end of all that may be right in this sport. LOVE would run roughshod over everyone throwing pieces of the fiefdom to those who momentarily support their regime. Felix I relish being the one to unload on you in a way you could not imagine. Hinckley was sent to jail for trying to kill a president, I may get to be champion for destroying you.

I can’t imagine that any of the wrestlers in this thought they were going to have to prepare for this upstart from Ohio State. Now not only are these guys preparing, but they are wondering how they can eliminate me. I know that in this star studded line up I may not be the biggest, the best, or the most experienced, but that’s the beauty of this match, I don’t have to be. As long as I play it conservative and stick to my game, I may engage in the pleasure that Jean talks about, and win the way Rocko talks about. Gentleman I won’t let you keep me down, and I won’t give you the chance to walk away with an opportunity that was meant for me. This shot was meant to go to someone who is young, innovative, and willing to work for the good of the sport and myself.

In a few hours when the fans sit through the long list of names parade down to the ring, they will see every wrestler in this federation bleed, sweat, and potentially threaten their career futures by taking part in this match. The fans will surely be treated to seeing everyone risk it all for a chance at greatness. Tonight it will be the one wrestler who is willing to sacrifice their career because they hope for that instant of being champion. Some people live their entire life time for just one moment of perfection, for me, I hope to make that feeling into habit starting tonight.

(He drops the microphone and walks out. Fade out.)

OORP: I know it's probably late, but I felt that a response was a decent course.
------------------
"Fear not, Rocko....Doe pisses off everyone on a daily basis, including his pants, by virtue of the stain that he leaves in them unknowingly on a nightly basis, backstage."
(Fadein Cameron Cruise, dressed in blue jeans and a WFW T-shirt in the back lockerroom of the baseball diamond much resembling the one from "The Rookie")

CRUISE: The one thing he has, albeit it keeps him way off balanced, is courage and overconfidence in his abilities to perform in the ring. Then again, what's a guy to do when you've been in and out of an insane asylum with crooks and ninnies that are LEGITAMITELY labeled 51/50??

I mean, after all...a man can only take so much when he's stuck inside a cage for so long.

Some men...some lose their edge, the part of adrenaline that rushes into you when you're involved in competition.

Like Tyson.

But not Doe.

Doe decides to take the latter part of that equation and go the other direction, which....as much as I hate to use it, Joey would tell him: Jesus doesn't want him for a Sunbeam.

Which....until he can change his whole outlook and attitude about things, may be the reason why I've completely obliterated him inside the ring, both in EPW AND NEW. He needs me to show Doe the way that's right for him, and not by virtue of how Troy Douglas did....which was a valiant effort, nonetheless BUT--

What Troy did with Doe was just like the Englishman tried to do with Tarzan, and sooner or later Christopher Lamber--or in this case Doe--turned on him.

With us....meaning you, myself....Benjamin and lord knows who else wants in on the "Project"....pardon the pun....will have to beat it into him, over...and over....

...and over again.

Sooner or later though, whether or not it's too late....Doe will become like Darth Vader....and he'll see the TRUTH, because all people who claim themselves as GODS is only delaying the inevitable, that they're false commandments and laws are nothing, if not infallible.

I've done my fair share of talking, and quite frankly from the looks of it, so has everyone else, which means after I'm done throwing the first pitch at tonite's game...I'm off to go prepare for the physical aspect of this match.

(Cruise pulls a baseball out of his locker as well as a mitt.)

Without my Intercontinental title, without my wife, and without any distractions....

(Cruise pounds his fist into his mitt a couple of times and throws the ball in it.)

It's gametime boys.

(Fadeout.)
