Futureshock is not necessarily close, it is not necessarily far.

Looking at the production time of SUPERCRASH IV as a base for where we are, I think we need to be cautious of any televised show getting a lineup.

I think some people have gotten burnt out on writing because they're the only ones signing up for the bigger matches. So, I'm thinking of employing a new strategy on scheduling ANY televised show.

I'm going to rely on those motivated to write certain PBP matches. We've got a few consistent guys in the stable -- GG, BFF, Pete, Biron ... guys named Justin like to run their own fed. but chip in... I'm a liability at any point. Pants, Ford... once in a bit. It's not ever going to be consistent because we're all too old to spend five hours every week dedicated to RPs, segs and matchwriting.

And that's OK -- I think BRAWLS hold us over fine.

But motivation can change that at the right time and that needs to be the IMPETUS. Televised shows are going to have to start with the thought in mind that "I WANT TO...AND WILL BE WRITING THIS MATCH."

If we only have one...that someone wants to write? BRAWL or RELOADED.

Some more chips on the table? RELOADED.

We all draw blood and shake hands? FUTURESHOCK.

As you can see...this is why I labeled this a brainstorm thread.

How do we do this right? Any ideas?

I think we're still in flux and there's a lot of miles between us and Futureshock - I suggest another Brawl, then a Reloaded, then some Brawls to lead to Futureshock.

Brawls have the advantage of being easy to write and we can therefore crank them out much more quickly. One more major event in Reloaded to set the stage for the FUTURE... but in that vein I think the Futureshock lineup should be known as soon as humanely possible, even one match at a time, so matchwriters can get started and RPing can hit the pavement.

My suggestion is one more Reloaded between now and Futureshock, but several Brawls to pad the evenings.

I'm great with more BRAWLS, more shows in general. I would like to see more guys picking up matches, but it is what it is. NFW has been like this since I started here and I think things are going alright. I guess I don't know how you'd properly guesstimate when to pull the Supershow/Reloaded card. This card's writers were lined up in how many days and we were about a month behind the setlist deadline. I'm definitely willing to bounce ideas around with the fellas.

I would say the main event was taken under duress. That's where I failed. That's what I want to avoid.

Is it just someone speaking up and saying something? Do I do a check-in?

Otherwise, I'm just booking BRAWLS 'cause I know they go out.

I'm more than fine with BRAWLS.

If feuds are heating up and coming to a head, how do we NOT have a Supershow/Reloaded? I guess that's the only problem I see with basing shows on who feels like writing matches.

Just to point this out, I'm not criticizing anybody for their match timeliness and that's double for Billy. He's an absolute workhorse in this fed and I can't imagine what things would be like without the 4th Horseman (I created an OOC stable, apparently).

Yeah, Billy's carried alot on his shoulders.

So did Gregg.

And Pete.

And JN in 2001.

I want to get to a point where the RELOADED is out in 2 weeks. It's always twice as long. In my head right now, I know if someone's itching to write a match and keep things moving, I'm going to see it on time. Anything outside of that is always a risk. Why not just avoid risk?

I can only write matches that I am really into, even in DEF I can only write certain stuff.

But I can and will pitch in where I can.

I would say that a clear outline of what you want for Futureshock (lineup-wise) would help to figure out a solid schedule between now and then. I'm all for more BRAWLS, more Reloaded's, and anything else.

MOAR SHOWS BECAUSE MOAR.

But I don't see why we need to jump into Futureshock. Except to finish all the angles that didn't finish at SC4.

*shrug*
