Over the past few weeks there has been talk about a new wrestling organization cropping up in the North Eastern United States. Today that rumor has become reality. The STRIFE Wrestling company has officially gone public.

What does that mean?

Well that means that owner and operator Eric Matthews has opened up applications to the public. STRIFE is already comprised of a small, hand chosen roster but that will not be enough to sustain the business and put on entertaining shows week in and week out.

You haven't heard of STRIFE? Well that's okay, not many have. STRIFE isn't trying to revolutionize the industry and it certainly isn't trying to go global over night. That will all come with time, effort and a little bit of luck...possibly. For now STRIFE will be operating mainly in the New England area with occasional stops in the mid west and up and down the east coast as well.

Although STRIFE isn't looking to change the wrestling world, they are however striving to create their own wrestling environment. With that said here are the rules and regulations of STRIFE;

* OFFICIAL IS GOD - It means what it says. The official in the match will be the end all be all. There aren't very many official rules in STRIFE. When the official tells a fighter to do something, he better do it. The official will have the power to end the match at any point in time if he cannot control a competitor.
* PIN FALL WINS - Unless otherwise stated the only way to win a match in STRIFE is by pinfall. Disqualification will happen on occasion, but we hope that is not the norm. A title may only change hands in the event of a pin fall unless the stipulations state other means.
* WE WANT A FIGHT - Officials have been instructed to keep the action moving. Fighters will be warned or even disqualified for failing to keep attacking. Stalling, a tactic used by many these days, will not be tolerated.
* NO WEAPONS - We like hardcore. We like crazy stunts, but we don't like the use of foreign objects.
* GIMMICK MATCHES - These will be used to end feuds or will be used for big time matches on Super Cards.

If this sounds like the sort of thing you would be interested in being a part of then by all means fill out an application and a member of STRIFE will contact you to speak about the terms of your employment.

Running feds can be very rewarding at times. But there is that start up phase where you're wondering why you even bothered. The first few months are not much fun because as a fed head you end up doing a lot more work than you should. People join up and don't want to participate over actively or don't even at all. You try and shill your product to get more people involved. Write most of the stuff. All sorts of things.

That's why I wished you luck. Not because I don't think you can do it. Just because you'll need it.

I know what it takes to run a fed, I've done so in the past. I was just kidding more or less, I understand exactly what you are talking about. The first few months are the hardest until you can get a solid group of handlers that are willing to put in an effort to get noticed.
