With enough money secured to purchase the materials needed to actually put on a wrestling show; Erik Matthews has done just that.
The venue was a very small fair. The Elmo's fair was the home of the very first STRIFE event of the 2008 calendar year. Who competed? Well that was in question almost up until the first bell rang. Money was tight, and when I mean tight I mean Matthews pinched pennies so hard that I believe a few of them actually bled.
After making some promises, asking, and just about begging many athletes from his past and a few "old friends" he was able to put together enough of a roster to put on what he thought would be an interesting event.
The fans in attendance were treated to well...you can be the judge of that.
