"Aelieas Fierte. Hah. Hah."
An abandoned gymnasium. A sarcastic King of Extreme.
"This is my big follow up match. Against a guy who couldn't be bothered to show up. Hah...HUM."
Eli Flair rolled his eyes as he leaned against the time-worn ropes.
"Not too long ago I was wrestling Mark Windham for the CSWA World Championship and Kodiak Vic Creed for the fWo World Heavyweight Championship in the span of a week. The fact that I came up short in both shots is immaterial, though not lost on me. Give me a referee who isn't Troy Windham and we'll see what happens against Mark Windham. Give me two working knees and we'll see what happens against Kodiak Vic Creed."
"Whatever. I've been down before, I'll be down again. And I'll be back again."
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"I do want to apologize to the CSWA fans and o-fish-als for being away so long... those of you who know why know I didn't want to. Poison Ivy is doing well after her brush with death, though her ego is still massively bruised after what Windham did to her."
"So, come what may... let Aelieas Fierte show up or not. I don't really care because he'll be that easier to beat if he didn't bother to come to the show. I'm headed for Anniversary for the first time without a signed match and it's bloody typical."
"I'm used to it. Spend months building myself up to a World Championship shot and end up below the bottom of the barrel, with less time remaining in my career, most likely, than I need to climb again."
"Aelieas Fierte is as good a place as any to start over, but it's going to be a lot faster than anyone realizes."
"Slow and listen, right?"
