There are many things the eFed community lacks. I suppose one of them is a fixed tournament calendar. I've come accross many tournaments throughout my years of fedding. Some of them I entered. Some of them I even won.

I suppose the point of this thread is to see if anyone can help establish which tournaments are out there. I know of two thusfar.

There's the Golden Turnbuckle Tournament, which is run by Primetime Central.

Then there's the RoughKut Invitational, which doesn't seem to have a fixed yearly slot at the moment.

There are other minor ones, like NGW's Hokori & Meiyo Tournament. I am uncertain whether that one occurs on a yearly basis.

Tournaments within eFeds, such as CSWA's Presidential Tournament, do not count.

There's HWF's Natural Selection tournament. First one was in December, second one is RPing right now. Don't know if the promoter wants it run evey 12 or 6 months - the first one was held up because it clashed with another tournament being run the same time. As far as I know, NS is the only one to give out actual prizes. My Ric Flair autobiography is sitting on my bookcase right now, lol.

There is Headstrong Wrestling's Total J Cup tournament that's held yearly..

Granted its a cruiserweight tournament .. but its done annually.. and HSW is a great league ... I was in it for a little bit before I had to leave due to time reasons.

http://hsw.sigma-5.net/index2.html

That's the URL to HSW ... Total J Cup is on the side..

PTC also has an annual Cruiserweight tournament towards the beginning of the year, while the GTT is towards the end. There's also currently the Infinity Gauntlet, which is just a constant, rapid-fire Gauntlet where people try to get the longest winning streak.

Is the Infinaty Gauntlet part of Primetime Central as well? And, out of general interest, have there ever been plans for FWrestling to host a tournament?

In the distant past, the FWrestling community (then on PRODIGY) had the ULTRATITLE Tournament, which is now the basis for NFW's 'season' structure.

In the not-so-distant future, it looks like there may be plans for a team-based tournament among other things. I also know that WFW has held a special tag team tournament.

It'd be cool to see some tournaments go on around here. I was waiting to find one or two I'd be able to enter over the summer, it's always good fun to do something like that.

The PTC is linked to the Gaunlet, which can produce title shots to whomever wins, if they happen to win a couple matches in a row.

I suppose there are quite a few tournaments thoughout the net. If my mind servers me correctly, SCCW hosted one not too long ago. I could be wrong; it could've been that they competed in one.

I am now strongly considering running my own yearly tournament. There are several main problems I would face though, the main two being time constraints and lack of judges. Then there's getting affiliated with a network in order to host the tournament. I suppose I could contact my good old friends at PTC, although I have had a history of not recieving a response from him regarding my old league, XCW.

Brushing by the site, I've recently noticed that they're advertising the fifth Golden Turnbucle Tournament. I try to keep to myself my history in the tournament (getting knocked out in the first round by a free agent in GTT1 while representing RKW, getting knocked out of GTT2 by a member of PRIME when I was a free agent). I will most definately compete in it, and may even try to compete through my own Total Knockout Wrestling promotion if I can get it online in time. If I do not, then is anyone here the owner of an affiliated league? I find going in as a free agent a complete waste.

It'd be cool if you made your own tournament. You don't necessary need a network to host it however, RPG and all that never had a network per say that it was hosted on or anything. Most places are willing to support your tournament if it actually seems like it's worth something. RPG did so well because of the people that were in it.

I think it'd be nice to see some actual tournaments back like RPG. I don't like how there's so many little one's, I'd rather see some big significant ones. Though I never participated in it, they sure as hell did have the top roleplayers around participating in that. Though most have departed away from eW by now.

There are numerous advantages I'd have if my tournament was affiliated with an interfed network. The main two being that I could negotiate a title shot for an interfed title as the tournament's prize, and that it would attract more competitors. I admittedly predicted the RoughKut.com tournament failing since I didn't know if people outside of RK's network of eFeds would participate. It didn't just succeed though, it's got people anticipating the second one already.

I'm not saying I want my tournament to go down in history or anything of that sort. I just want it to attract some form of interest in the eFedding community.

I'm going for it. Now if I could just find a name for it...

As I just posted in the Advertisement forum, the Scrapyards Community is now hosting a Tag Team Tournament, and we hope to host tournaments fairly regularly in the future (singles, tag, cruiserweight), if this one goes well.

I've just started a tournament which I hope to keep as annualt things as it's 'sports' styled tournament.
Check it out @ www.geocities.com/littlegreggyb

Hit me up with an email on whether you like the idea or not even if you want to join or not

Cheers,
Greg

Yeah SeanLuc, one Mr. Veddar has it in his signature down at RoughKut. I'll take a look.

I'll also look at The X1 Tournament as well.

Thanks.

SFT has 2 yearly tournaments. We've got the Lethal Lottery, which we just finished the 5th annual one. and the King of the Deathmatch, which 5th annual one is coming in october.

I'd love there to be an untimate tournament, that fwrestling, roughkut, and all the others can co-exist.

There is also RPCommunity which will do little events every so often. The last event they held was a tournament called Face-Off. They currently have plans to hold the next Chris Williams Memorial Cup show, but that has been delayed for the time being.

So plenty of efeding tournaments and events going on.

I like that idea. Although it appears somewhat unlikely to happen.

I wonder what Chad would think of interfeds co-operating in a tournament?
