Hey...I'm sure you guys would be interested to know this.

I just got back from visiting Marty Jannetty's wrestling group here in Tallahassee. I spoke with him for a bit and he agreed to let me do a series of interviews with him for a short documentary film I'm doing for class.

He's REALLY nice. From what his students told me he also still has multiple girlfriends. He's also smaller than I expected...about maybe 5'11"...couldn't have weighed more than 195 or so.

Needless to say...this is going to be an awesome class project.

I'm actually in my senior year in Broadcast Journalism. I applied to a couple film schools for Grad though.

The cameras we use are Mini-DV...I don't remember the exact brand but they're Sony and brand new.

Our school puts an emphasis on versatility...so we're forced to "one-man band" most everything. I had another girl working with me but she left to work with another group on something else. (Whatever...I'd rather do this one alone anyway...and I'd rather not share the credit if it rocks.)

We have access to some basic lights and lavolier (sp?) mics as well as traditional mics.

The documentary is going to let casual wrestling fans and non-fans get an idea of the real work and athletic commitment that goes into it. Marty's going to be a central character as a wrestler and someone who is teaching a new group of people. I'm also going to interview this guy Rod the Bod who is Marty's star pupil at the moment.

If you guys have any questions for Marty or stuff you think I should discuss with him for the doc...feel free to say so.

Ask him about a plane ride he took with Davey Boy Smith and The Ultimate Warrior, where they supposedly roofied all these college kids.

Ask him how he feels to be known forever as the guy who went through a plate glass window.

Ask him if he still wears singlets with copious amounts of fringe and mesh.

I thought you guys might have some actual stuff you'd want to know from a wrestler instead of just tongue-in-cheek jokes.

He's really friendly...I got to work out in the ring with him and some of the guys...and even got to fill in as a heel manager in one of their practice matches.

BTW...he's already told me some absolutely sick but hilarious stories about certain guys who used to be in the WWF and stuff they used to do after shows and involving groupies.

Boston and other places.
a little off topic...

anyone else hear about an Anthrax scare in a Boston T station, apparently revolving around Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and what must have been a considerable amount of cocaine?

and Marty Jannetty was awsome. Top Rope Fist drop = Death.
