We all must play our part
* The First RP for C15.
(FADEIN: iPhone video of a small boy and girl fighting over the NewERA Championship belt, they giggle and laugh until finally Muse walked into the picture and takes the belt away from them.)
(CUTTO: NewERA banner backdrop. The First in a plain black wifebeater and gi paints paces back and forth. His face painted in the Kefka motif and his NewERA Championship belt hanging from his right hand.)
FIRST: All the world is a stage, and we all have our parts to play. I started as the young headstrong firebrand ready to take over the world without even knowing what I was doing. Then I entered the Empire and became the straight man for Felix Red and his madcap antics. When his star burned out I became the outcast hero. The champion not of the everyman, but of the underclass, those who felt picked on and belittled by a cruel uncaring world.
I held that mantle till it broke me, and then I literally wore a mask. I became a legend of the Empire and in doing so I regained my glory...And then I became paranoid, obsessive, crazed only by the desire to hold onto my title and my power no matter the tactics, no matter the cost.
Times change again and here I stand, belt over my shoulder, looking into a camera and it’s time to tell you all about the new me, the new First. You see all the things I’ve ever done before they were ways to inspire me to perform, to fight for the nerd who is picked on, or the gay child rejected by his stupid bigoted parents. To fight to hold onto my title and my fame. All those reasons I had to fight and they all inspired me.
They are all NOTHING compared to my children.
I look at them and I’m irrational in my love for them, in my need to protect and provide for them that words can’t really do justice what I feel inside myself. The human experience is one I’ve lived so many times I often wonder if anything will shock me or truly make me feel. Fatherhood gets the job done every time, it’s an amazing thing raising the next generation of humanity.
And then I see I have a match, a match I will be well paid for against Richard Dweck. Can’t say as I remember or know much about you, but I can say this. I am going to brutally injure you. This night will not end well for you. You need to understand that you’re dealing with somebody who will not behave like a normal person inside that ring. I enter that ring to make sure my family has a roof over their head and food in their belly. I look across that ring and I see a man literally trying to take food out of my children’s mouths. Why do you want to do that Richard? Why do you want to hurt my family?
See this world puts us at odds, makes us do these things. It’s a cruel thing, but I accept it. The role of the provider, the protector, the Warrior Father is one I was born to play. You are but the victim of circumstance.
You think this is going to be a lot of fun? You have no idea what is about to happen to you.
