"In the land of the blind, the one eyed man sees best."

It took Ryp years to truly understand that. After years of toiling with the slime that ran GCW, Ryp has found a new home.

He's found a new place... but rumors abound about the leadership of this federation too. Hornet had told him about the grandeur years ago, and it's been his long time aspiration to make it to the CSWA, but something is different. Hornet is different.

He's not the same man he was 7 years ago, When Hornet was this young star and Ryp was just a face in the gym. Ryp would sit and listen about the stories Hornet would tell about the CSWA like the High School kid hearing about College life first-hand from a "Seasoned" Freshman...

Ryp then got an opportunity to join up with GCW, and the rest is history. Hornet and Ryp kept in contact, but it certainly wasn't friendly, and it certainly wasn't genuine. They'd see each other at charity events, have common acquaintances, but nothing more than the occasional "how's it going in CSWA?" "fine... how's it going in GCW?" "fine". But you could always sense that fire and decency in Hornet... It's not there anymore. It's been replaced, but with what?

So Ryp sits... wrapping his ankle, preparing to work with another CSWA wrestler on the moves for his match coming up. Ryp stares out the doorway of the room at an old, faded poster on the wall across the Hall of Hornet with a Belt on his shoulder.

Ryp slips on the boots, and quickly ties the laces. Just as he rises, someone walks by the doorway briskly - Ryp catches a glimpse of him, but only a quick glimpse...

Ryp rushes out the doorway and looks in the direction of where the person walked, but no one is there... instead, from the opposite direction, his opponent for practice runs into him -

"Ryp - Hey man, what's going on? What's the rush?"

"Did you just see a guy walk by?"

"No, I didn't see anyone, why?"

"I thought I saw someone I knew... but it couldn't have been him." Ryp smiles and shakes the guy's hand.

"Why, who'd you think you saw?"

"My brother-in-law..."

At Home

The scene opens up in a much smaller house. From the view out the window, the house looks like it is sitting up on a hill. An older lady is shown sitting on a rocking chair next to the window. She is looking out it once in a while, like she is waiting for someone to arrive. Right then a black Honda Civic comes driving up the dirt road, leaving a cloud of dust following it. The car slowly pulls into the driveway. The car comes to a stop and the doors open up. Out steps Aaron Justice. Aaron stands next to the car as he closes the door. He then begins walking towards the house. The older lady is quick to go to the door, knowing her son has come home. She opens the door and their stands her son. Aaron steps into the house and sits down on an old sofa. The lady closes the door and then sits back down on her rocking chair.

“Mom, let me get you and dad out of this place. It’s so old.”

“It’s our home Aaron and it has been for many years. Why change now?”

“Come to Charlotte. You’ll have Megan, Steve, and myself around more. I think it would be good for you and dad.”

“I am so glad you mentioned Megan and Steve, because it reminds me. I got a phone call from Megan yesterday. She said that Steve saw you.”

“Oh yea? Did he see me at the mall?”

“No Aaron.”

“Why didn’t he stop me and say hi?”

“Aaron, don’t play games with me. Megan said he saw you at a training facility.”

“Yea, I have been trying to keep in shape.”

“Aaron, he saw you at that wrestling place. Please tell me you are not trying to cause problems their for Steve. He has done nothing but nice things for the family.”

“No, I was just their talking to a guy for Jeremy. It wasn’t anything. Honestly mom, I told you their wasn’t anything going on between Steve and myself. Megan has a big imagination and likes to think that I want to compete with Steve on everything. It’s probably just some silly game of hers.”

“Aaron, please don’t cause problems. You are a good boy.”

“You have nothing to worry about mom. One thing though, do you think it’s fair for me to turn down and opportunity, just because Megan thinks I am competing with Steve?”

“No, it’s not fair, but we all just don’t want to see you causing any situations. I have told you many times before, when you have a chance, take it, just don’t make bad out of it. If you want to get back into wrestling, do it, but don’t go their to try keeping Steve down. Why couldn’t the two of you just become a team or something?”

“Mom, we are two different guys. Our styles don’t match. It just wouldn’t work. I won’t cause problems though.”

Aaron’s father shouts into the room that dinner is ready. Both Aaron and his mother get up from their chairs and walk out of the room.
