Srsly, Why are all you faggots (all you faggots being like two or three of you, but I like making blanket statements) posting five part RP's?

Obviously you're going over the arbitrary word count but holy fuck, just put it on one link... or two...

I'm posting this with only four hours of sleep, but I'm always right 84% of the time.

i do apologize for a 5 part rp, but its not something you have to read, and "faggot" is a bit uncalled for as well. I explained in my "spoiler alert" rp what was going on and why i wrote it.

my rps for actual matches will be much shorter, and if I ever do a multi-part rp it wont be spammed the last day, cause we all know that's cheap.

It was supposed to be for when there was a lull in the rps, but unbeknownst to me the deadline got extended... I definitely did not mean for it to conflict with the rps coming in at deadline, and again I apologize for filling the rp board like that.

I just meant for it to be something fun for you guys to read whenever you got the time, not something you had to cram in before a card, and was definitely not meant to piss anyone off.

Actually it's a synonym for just about everything in Defiance.

In all seriousness though, this new "Post a huge RP and break it into 1000/1250 word chunks" is sort of defeating the purpose of the RP size limit in general though. I was going to wait and discuss with Justin what to do about that, but since Zortalk decided to dive right in...

Just so long as you don't do every RP as a monumental thing with five parts, it's totally fine, Mr. DIY. Besides, your Walls of DEFIANCE thing was really cool and reminded me of some stuff I've done.

I wrote it because I love whats been going on in Defiance, all the sotrylines and unique characters, and this was just kind of, sort of, my way of trying to be a part of it.

But srsly, I don't mind the current word count. I usually stay underneath it because my days of writing five 11 page promos are long over. I have a short attention span. I don't liking clicking all over a website to read a series roleplay. I expect that people feel the same way as me. I could be wrong. But most likely, you're wrong and don't realize I'm right.

My thought is this: If your roleplay is 20,000 words, post it under one topic. I don't know if the forum allows that. I don't know if Justin/Jeff allow it in the parameters. It discourages me from reading any of it, not to say I didn't overcome it but, fuck, If I want to read, I'll read.

Competitively speaking, everything's subjective. I believe a 800 word promo can out do a 5,000 word promo. It's all about taste. Maybe I want to listen to a 30 second grindcore song over Rush's 2112. Maybe I want to listen to 2112 over that 30 second grindcore song. Depends on my mood, depends on the situation, blah blah blah.

I like the word limit because it forces people to get to the point.

I don't like reading roleplays that are long and boring, and no matter how awesome people think they are, anything over a thousand words is long and boring.

Don't do that either. Your series was fun and a very enjoyable read. You don't need to have everything be super duper serious, you don't need to only be wrestleman only.

If you want to write something like the Walls of DEFIANCE again, go for it. Maybe space it out a little more or something, but that was a cool read.
