I am the new guy... I guess.

Ok some basics. First off I am a US Marine Deployed to Iraq, so I am online at totaly different times than any of you. With th at out of the way, I have been out of the "game" for a while and am just now getting back into it.

About me, I am 20 years old, normaly live in Ca. and love wrestling.

Hmm... just thought I might want to get to know some of you so you can e-mail me at Ryan_23_98@yahoo.com.

Neways, I will talk to you all later.

Always nice to have a new member aboard.

Call me curious but....what's your take on the Iraq situation? Are things improving or does it seem Coalition forces are still in a deadlock with the extremists? And what tasks are you assigned to? Civilian, raids, etc?

Sorry for being nosey, but I'd like to get an opinion from someone who is actually in the thick of things, so to speak. I hope you don't find it bothersome, and I apologize if you do.

But, as for New Era, it's nice to have an active new member! Nice job with the first Open RP you did. I got a feel for the character right from that. Is that your usual RP style?

To Ryan and Jeff....

First of all....Im not really a member here, although I shoulda thought about doing that before posting, heh....

Jeff.....as a former Marine and a brother of one in the middle of processing out, I must letcha know that as curious as all of us in the states are......

Members of the military aren't exactly allowed to give out specifics on what's going on abroad. That in itself is to be considered a pretty big no-no. I'm curious just as you are, don't get me wrong.....I'm just lettin' ya know, :)

Ryan....

Great to see that another Marine joinin' the game we play!!

Now, if you just sign up for my "Marines against Erik Zieba" Fan Club, we'll be all set, :)

J/k, lol.

anyone and everyone can get ahold of me on AIM as Cameron Cruise and on Yahoo IM as bugsy_the_outlaw

Well...

Glad to see people here are receiving me well...

Ok, specifically, I really can't talk much about anything that goes on over here for security reasons, but I can tell you about what I do for the Marine Corps. I am an Electro-Optical Ordance Technician, in laymans terms I repair Passive (starlight) and active (thermal) night vision.

To answers theother question... I am somewhat of an aspiring writer. Right now, in the free time I have I am writing a novel as well as rps for this fed. Before I joined the USMC, when I last participated in a fed, I used the traditional system of a "screen play" if you will. I like this style better because i am big aon description and I feel I can describe how the characters look, act, and feel in more detail this way.

I am glad you liked the rp, I wrote it in about twenty minutes give or take, but it took a little while to come up with a non-traditional "in ring debut rp" if you will.

So, I have a hard time getting on AIM, but I can try to get into the internet cafe, later on... I am hoping that you all will e-mail me at the link above, because i am big on story to e-feds, and it helps me with direction when I am rping. So if anyone feels like they might want to start up some sort of angle with moi, go right ahead.

Ryan

Wow, that's pretty cool. Didn't know they had starlight night vision. Thanks for the info.

I can see what you mean about the description for RPs and stuff. I too am an aspiring writer, so I have written both ways also. I prefer the "traditional'' RP style, but I don't mind using either.

Tom, you were a Marine?! Call me clueless, I guess...heh..

I'll just reflect previous sentiments and say it's good to have you aboard, Ryan.

Welcome! You're certainly not alone in your new-ness. I think this fed is comprised mostly of newbis, myself included. (to NEW anyway)

I feel you with your RP style. I stay strictly away from script roleplays and I caught my own share of *****ing as a result. I left that stuff behind in the old days.

And consider yourself lucky you got such an enthusiastic response. This fed can get quiet.

See you on the boards!

Thanks for the all the responses...

I go to bed with three and wake up with 11... holy ****. It's crazy. Anyway, don't have much to say, of course. Just enjoying my one day a week off. So I will talk to you all laters.

Oh, and about the internet cafe, it is primarily a military thing. We have satalite inet.

Lats,
Ryan
