This post is to show everyone here an article which shows what the WWE should do or at least consider to not let Eddie die in vein. Vince said on MSNBC, "Theres nothing you really can do that measures up to what Eddie's influences and contributions were to this business." I think that is untrue...I think there is one thing that could be done to get as close as possible to measuring up to what he did for the business...read the following article to see what I mean.

The WWE has already instituted drug testing after Eddie's death, but they need to go farther. I forget where I read it, but someone suggested the idea of "seasons" in the WWE. Have each brand - RAW and Smackdown! - run 9 months of the year in overlaps so at least there's no break in programming, with each show then getting 3 months of "unopposed" TV time. The other three months of the year, wrestlers are at home, resting and rehabbing injuries.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the *RESPONSIBLE* use of steroids, but it's taking the pain killers and all this medication that allows guys to work 300 nights a year, in combination with over-doing the steroids that's causing these problems.

Give your talent a break once in a while.

I can understand the need for a break, but that has to be a break from training full stop. I injured my knee when I was 13/14 playing rugby for the school, to the point it swelled up to double its normal size in about five minutes. The very next week I was back playing because I knew the team didn't have anyone else that could cover me being out for a couple of weeks. All I did was take the tuesday training session off. To improve my game I started playing for a club as well as the school, so for two or three years I was doing something related to training or playing 6-7 days a week during the late summer-early spring, then did athletics (100m, 200m, relay, long jump and triple jump, all things that damage the knee) because I was one of the best in those events at school. I had maybe a month when I didn't train, so I went for bikerides and long walks. And that was just as an enthusiastic kid doing sport for fun, not something I had to keep in shape because it was my job. Now, I'm paying the price by having to take a lot of painkillers in ever-increasing dosages, and I don't do any sport anymore - I can only imagine the types of dosage the wrestlers go through.

If you're going to install a break, they need to make sure the talent isn't training for a month or two, but that's not going to happen.

You've got to train to stay in shape and keep the ring rust off, but there's a difference between training a couple times a week to keep the ring rust off and wrestling five nights a week plus travel, etc.

Something should be able to be worked out, cause we have to stop these guys dying in their late 30's or earlier.
