Gold Rush Update

Hey guys,

Unless I've missed another note, I believe the rp period has ended. GREAT job by everyone. We weren't sure what to expect from this, but to say it blew our expectations out of the water would be an understatement.

And now the match writing begins. Dun Dun Dun...

Chad's been traveling recently and this week I believe. And I've been sick as a dog of late. So we haven't had a chance to really sit down and hammer out who's writing what, but we will. We'll let you know when we start writing and what the posting date looks to be. So keep on coming back for ANNIVERSARY status updates.

Feel free to post in the general discussion area about anything you'd like. Feel free to rp for fun. Feel free to challenge another character/handler in the Gold Rush match for a bout on a upcoming card. RPC doesn't have to be dead as a doornail while we write.

Thanks for the effort and we'll try our best to see that the match lives up to the billing.

Back from a week in Boston where I had none of the downtime I thought I would. As Steve said, look for updates over the next few days. I'd like to suggest that we'll have the match done for your Labor Day holiday, but we'll see.'

Look in the archives... I think there was an ANNIVERSARY show we released a couple of years ago on 12/31 just to get it in during the year.

I'm still hopeful that won't be the case with this one. Just posted in another thread that I think this weekend will be a key one as to whether it gets posted sooner (*much* sooner) or later. I haven't touched base over the last week with the other writers on their T'giving week plans -- that could prove a hitch as well.

I'll do better with updates, I promise. Any suggestions regarding fun tidbits to keep you all occupied while we slacking writers work are appreciated.

What about the ROAD TO ANNIVERSARY thread that Steve had posted that was supposed to be a way for Goldrush participants to get in works of character developement and further hype their impending debut or big showing in the tournament.

Granted he did say that they wouldn't really count as in influencing the overall outcome of who one would do the tourny, but it would help fuel the card until it finally gets posted.

I guess what I am trying to say or ask is, is anybody else going to rp at all or why am I the only one that is replying to the thread?

Man its stuff like this that can give a guy a complex. Where's the love people lets stay active on these boards while we wait for the card.

Just my thoughts on the matter. Okay I'm done now.
