If you're wondering why I'm bringing this up in the private forum and not the public ooc, it's because I figure there's an issue or two (or more?) that needs to be ironed out before saying anything for all to see.

ANYWAY.

Justin brought this up last night, about DEF finally doing a regular (bi-weekly) podcast on Halkum's network. Here's what I'm wondering though, when are the best days and times in regards to peoples availability to either listen or actually call in (not mandatory) and participate?

Right off the bat I know that our UK members (Damien, Murr, Tracey) wouldn't be available except for Fridays/Weekends and/or days (nights for us) where they have the following day off. Saturdays are possible, but I know a few of us have kids, so that might be an issue.

So I need everyone to respond here. Best day, best time, willing to participate (call in via skype), willing to show up and listen regularly (if available, of course)?

If it's a night, it needs to be a Friday or Saturday for me. Damn timezones.

I've also got the ability to get the show on the air, etc. Alternatively I can teach someone else how to do it, if my times are inconvenient for the rest of the roster.

I love this kinda thing and will participate any time I'm available.

The After Party, in theory, goes bi-weekly on Friday nights post-UTAH radio unless things like holidays, vacations, or social plans come up. This works for me because I can keep some Friday nights open for non-radio stuff. Saturdays are a little tougher. I'm usually around on Sundays as that's my "get shit done around the house" day so I could do a mid to late afternoon EST show which would be evening for the UK folks.

During the week I am usually available after 8/8:30pm Eastern.

Yeah Friday or Saturday nights are the way forward for me, depending what sort of time you'd be looking to record too.

Yeah. I'm open to sharing the post UTA show time slot, especially if you guys do bi-weekly. Then we can do EWAP one week, and DEFcast the next. Then there's always radio after UTA radio.

It'd be later in the evening U.S. time so you'd have to go the Murrr route and pull an all-nighter.

I would be a guest on the show. Nighttime is good for me, I get in late weekdays. But this sounds like a good concept.

I get every other weekend off from being on call for work so if we could get the show to land on the Fri/Sat or whatever I'm off, only way I could participate without the risk of having to bolt.

I can't guarantee I'd be around at all. Friday into Saturday would probably be best if I was ever gonna be around, but I very much doubt I'd be able to make it more than once in a blue moon.

I love Radio, and Im a loser with too much time, any evening US time is good for me.

Always down to be a guest too, I'm a regular on UTAH.

I can't guarantee that I'd ever be able to listen live or call in, just because my schedule outside of work can vary widely from week to week. But, I'd absolutely always listen to it the next day at minimum. I love podcasts when they're covering my interests.

I too have a variable life schedule, but Friday or Saturday nights seem the most doable.
