(Fade in to a dimly lit office. We see a figure looking over some paperwork. A plasma screen tv hangs on a nearby wall, playing matches of various CSWA superstars. We hear a knock on the door and the figure sets the paperwork down, presses a button on his desk which illuminates the overhead lighting bringing the Press Agent of the <> X-Change into view. He gets up and walks to the door. Upon opening it, we see Rudy Seitzer)

Wright: Come on in, Rudy.

Seitzer: You were expecting me?

Wright: Security notified me you were on your way up.

Seitzer: Of Course. I thought my meeting was with Maxwell Diamond.

Wright: Let's come to an understanding, Rudy. The <> X-Change is a multi-Billion dollar corporation. That's Billion, with a Bee. You know, about three zeros more than you will ever see in your lifetime? Simply put, Max doesn't have the time to be bothered with the day to day operations of every single division of this company.

Seitzer: That's where you come in, I take it?

Wright: I'm the Press Agent. Put another way, I am the face of this corporation... just as men like JR Steele and JJ Dillon have been in the past.

Seitzer: So, are we to understand that we will no longer be seeing Maxwell Diamond in the CSWA?

Wright: Where and when you see Max is up to him. But, if I were to speculate? You don't WANT to see Max. Because, if you do, it's probably gonna be really bad news for somebody... and I don't mean the <> X-Change.

Seitzer: Ok. Now, part of why I'm here is because the <> X-Change has been suprisingly tight-lipped about some of their upcoming events... On Time for one.. but Battle Of The Belts in particular.

Wright: The fact of the matter is that we haven't said anything because we don't feel there's a whole lot to say.

On Time? Of course the big match there is Adler and Miles for the Presidential strap, which, by anybody's estimation has to be the MAIN lead in for Belts.

Seitzer: Adler took a pretty wicked chair shot to the knee at Prime Time. Any thoughts on how that will affect Adler or his strategy for that match?

Wright: Well, it's safe to say that Adler's taken far worse shots to his knees and everywhere else for that matter over the course of his career. It didn't do any real damage. Of course, it's not likely that it was supposed to.

No, Miles wanted to send a message. He wants us to know he's not Eddie's b##ch. That he's his own man. I suspect that message will continue through On Time.

Whatever. Ultimately, everything that's happened or will happen shortly is aimed at one thing... positioning somebody to capitalize on an opportunity at Belts.

Seitzer: Ok, given that, what do you think the <> X-Change's chances are for that big event.

Wright: Well, first, I suppose it should be pointed out that Adler's had two shots at the World Title in as many cards. He chucked the first and didn't even ask for the second. Adler has pretty much proven that he can beat Windham whenever he wants. He could have walked out with the strap at On Time if he'd wanted. And, he was certainly in no danger of losing that match at Prime Time.

Simply put, if Adler wants the World Title, he'll have it. And, just as he's proven recently, he can get shots without jumping through hoops.

That having been said, this is still a big night for Tom. First, he has the opportunity to finally prove what he's said all along.. that he is the dominant champion in this company.

Seitzer: You're talking about his match with Shane Southern for the US Title?

Wright: Exactly.

Seitzer: Of course, even if Adler retains his Presidential Title in the elimination tag match, there's no guarantee that Southern will.

Wright: That's a fact that would mean far more to us if winning the US Title was something we felt we needed to do to secure Tom's position here. It's not. We maintain that Tom Adler is already the dominant champion in the CSWA. Beating the current US Champ only secures that position. It doesn't prove it.

Seitzer: Fair enough. But, even if Adler... and presumably Nathan Storm don't care about World Title shots and winning other championship belts, there's certainly incentive for the <> X-Change to want to win their respective elimination tag matches.

Wright: The <> X-Change has never needed to win senseless gimmick matches to prove it's position in this industry. Maybe the GXW and Intruders will gain something out of all of this. We won't. But, then, we're not exactly expected to win, are we?

Seitzer: Not sure I udnerstand.

Wright: Well, let's see if I can simplify it for you. Take a look at the way these matches are set up. In one match... you have three members of the Intruders... the current tag team champions on one side. You've got Troy and Southern... the two men CHALLENGING for those titles at On Time... together.

You've got the PLR and the GXW in one match. Whether they're on the same side or not.. they're there... together

Now... tell me... where is the <> X-Change?

Seitzer: I think I see where this is heading.

Wright: Exactly. Ya know, Rudy... I can understand why Bishop wouldn't make the cut for these matches. He hasn't put the ringtime here in the CSWA. That's fine. But, not only are Adler and Storm the only established unit NOT on the same side... they're not even in the same friggin match.

Merritt... you may call it creative... WE call it bull-s#!t. We'd have far more respect for you if you simply came out and said "I don't like the fact that Tom Adler is dominating this company and I want that Presidential Title on somebody else's waist."

Well, Chad, maybe you didn't have your universal translator running at On Time. So, let me strip this down for you into the lowest common denominator. You, sir, are screwing with the wrong group.

You think you've found a way to rest that title from around Adler's waist? I invite you to take a long hard look at the last YEAR around here. Tripple X. Cameron Cruise. Lawrence Stanley. Evan Aho. MARK WINDHAM. Tripple Threat make an ass outta yourself on a stick matches. One trumped up scheme after another from you. And, in the end, the only ass on a stick was you.

Now, you think sticking him in a match with seven other guys... NONE of which wants to see him walk out with that strap... is somehow gonna make a difference? Sorry... but that's an outcome we're just not prepared to accept.

Merritt... you've spent a DECADE trying to outsmart Adler and the <> X-Change. And, a decade later, he's STILL proving that he's the human smart bomb in an industry full of dud scuds.

Adler will walk in a champion... and he will walk out the same way. Period.

Now, you can take that tape back and throw it on Merritts desk, Rudy. Because that's all we've got to say about it.

(Wright pushes a button on a remote and the door swings open automaticall. Seitzer takes the hint and exits as the scene fades to black)
