Wrestler(s) Information
Ring Name: Mariguano
Height: 5’7
Weight: 218 lbs
Hailing From: La Paz, Bolivia
Alignment: Megaface
Gimmick: Mariguano is a fun-loving crowd pleaser to the max. He works the fans, charms potential allies, and steps up to the plate when evil seems to be rearing its ugly head. He’s as loyal as they come, sticking back to back with those he considers his friends, and doesn’t take lightly to tarnishing the good name of his home federation.
Wrestling Style: As mentioned, Mariguano works the crowd, and he aims to give the fans a show to remember each and every night. He’ll go for big spots (he’s a spot whore) whenever the opportunity arises. This can lead to fumbled chances to gain the upper hand but, in the end, Mariguano’s main goal is put on a spectacle whenever he gets the chance.
Three Weaknesses: His desire to have fun and delight the fans often leads to openings for his opponents. Still somewhat new to the ring, Mariguano kicks himself over these instances and often beats himself up pretty hard over them.
Lack of size will always be a problem for the little firecracker. He tries to overcome that fact with speed, quickness, and a relentless attack. This doesn’t always pan out, though, and he finds himself overpowered by the giants of the sport.
Mariguano is such a happy-go-lucky fool that he is easily manipulated. This is something he is working on since coming to America, well over a decade now, but he still sees the best in people and sometimes befriends the worst types of people.
Three Strengths: Mariguano’s number one asset is his ability, and desire, to work a room. He feeds off the energy inside the building and it can carry him to do some pretty remarkable things when all eyes are on him. He’ll do anything, absolutely anything, to give the fans what they want.
Given his handicap in the size department, the Bud Loving Luchador has spent countless hours working on his speed, agility, and in ring awareness. The main focus of his attack is in the air and he makes it a point to be able to rattle off a combo of aerial attacks in the blink of an eye.
You might find bigger, stronger, and smarter wrestlers out there but you’ll find none tougher than the little man from Mexico City. Mariguano can take a beating due to a high endurance level and pure desire to win, for the fans. He feels that if he loses, he is letting down millions of Mexicans and little wrestling fans across the world, so he uses that to push him through the hard times.

Wrestler(s) Information
Ring Name: Jeff Jackson
Height: 6’5
Weight: 350 lbs.
Hailing From: Denver, Colorado
Alignment: Face of faces
Gimmick: Jeff Jackson is an everyman. He’s rugged, funny, tough, and does the right thing, even if it ain’t easy. He smokes cigarettes, drinks beer, and fights shithead fuckers who run their mouth. He got into wrestling because, shit, why not? Get paid to throw people around. Jeff Jackson likes the sounds’a that.
Wrestling Style: Jeff’s raw with some talent, but not loads. He is strong as hell, though, so he plays the powerhouse card more often than anything. He would like it to be known, however, that should any of the birds start chirpin’ in the back, that he is always happy to brawl it out, old school style.
Three Weaknesses: Jeff is pretty new to wrestling so he gets tripped up pretty quick. He’s big, so he’s not as nimble as the rest, and this leads to smaller and more experienced ring rats to get the best of his size.
He hates to admit it but he’s got a big heart. Jeff hates to see the little guy get the shit end of the stick. This causes him to stick his nose where it doesn’t belong and, you guessed it, gets him into unnecessary scuffles. He’s fine with that but, when somebody gets the better of him (it’s happened before), he’s not so with it.
Jeff Jackson has a soft spot for the ladies. He finds himself in places he’s never known existed just because some dame told him to go there. He’ll do that for any woman, ANY woman, and it’s as obvious as the sun shinin’ at high noon. Deep down, it’s his low self-esteem, and they can spot it from a mile away.
Three Strengths: Jeff has unnatural size and strength. Growing up in the mountains of Colorado, he spent a lot of time doing chores outdoors until one day he was the size of a standard size tractor. He uses both of these as the spearhead of his attack.
Jeff is cool, calm, and collected in almost every situation thanks his wide range of street smarts. Think of James Dean if James Dean were a wrestler. This allows him to understand what his opponents are trying to do, even if he doesn’t know, y’know? He can see things coming without knowing they’re coming and sometimes it scares the Hell out of him.
Jeff Jackson has the physique of a movie star and it makes him a marketing gold mine. His massive stature and muscular build make him look like he was chiseled out of marble by the Gods themselves. He banks on this, not necessarily in a cocky way, and uses it to his utmost advantage (film opportunities, endorsements, underwear commercials, etc.) while in the spotlight.
MOVESET

1) Running forearm smash
2) Punches

3) Mile High Magic (Olympic Slam with thunderous finish)
4) Just Business (Inverted Double Arm DDT)
5) The Always Effective and Impressive Jeff Jackson Lullaby Lock [TAEIJJL] (Standing variation of the Camel Clutch)

Wrestler(s) Information
Ring Name: California Slam
Height: 6’2
Weight: 252 lbs.
Hailing From: San Diego, California
Alignment: Megaface
Gimmick: Slam is a character and a half. He’s a successful entrepreneur in the music, television, movie, and adult film industries. He’s been wrestling at a high level of competition for almost two decades. He’s the guy to make it all happen in the drop of a hat. Slam is also the guy who won’t take no sass when the time calls for it. He hasn’t let success blind him from the fact that, if he wants to fulfill his goal of mounting success in the twilight of his career, he’ll have to put in as much hard work as the next guy, probably even more.
Wrestling Style: Slam’s style could be categorized as ‘All Arounder’ or ‘Technician,’ but you can’t really put him in a box. He’ll do everything he can to score the W, even if he has to step outside his element for a hot minute, and he won’t think twice about doin’ it. He’s not a young gun, though, and he can’t fly as high as he once did either. That said, when the prize is on the line, he’ll go up top and into the stands if that’s how it’s gotta be.
Three Weaknesses: Slam’s main weakness would be his skill level. He’s not the most technically sound wrestler, knowing a core set of moves that he relies on heavily. This can limit what Slam does in the ring at times and make him predictable.
Life in the ring has taken its toll on the once spry California Slam. He still has great health, is in tip top shape, but nobody can outrun or outexercise Big Poppa Time. This limits Slam in the sense that he doesn’t move as quick as his young teammates, can’t jump as high, or last as long as them either.
Slam always has his eye on his next payday. This gets in his way when it comes to focus on wrestling. He’s been so successful outside the ring, his shortcomings in the ring have always seem to balance out, in a sense. He claims to be all in on his run at DEFIANCE but, really, only time will tell.
Three Strengths: Slam is a business wunderkind. He made his first splash with the Dot Com bubble. Then flipped some of that into Real Estate. He got out before it burst. Then came his music studio, and label, and recording company. Then came his magazine geared toward the very specific demographic of cat lovers called ‘Meow!Meow!’ Heard of it? No, you haven’t, because he sold the publishing rights and they renamed it CatFancy. Bottom line, he knows how to make the most out of every business opportunity.
Slam is a showman. He really knows how to ratchet it up past a 10 when the stakes are high. The idea that he’s a star, and not behind the scenes, invigorates him. This is where he’ll go beyond what he’s comfortable with, what he sticks to, and does the unthinkable.
Slam has a pretty solid understanding of ring tactics from his time in mid-level federations throughout his career. He capitalizes on opponents mistakes, he doesn’t rush into many traps, and he always goes in for the finish after stunning his opponent. He earned his nickname because of his signature style of slamming his opponents down, violently, after stunning them with his set up.

9) Side body slam
10) Flying Forearm Lariat

2) CaliSlam DDT (Inverted reverse DDT)
3) Casting Couch (Front Chancery)
4) Bermuda Blowfish Grip (Stepover Armlock)
5) Speedball (Brainbuster DDT)
1 Finishing Move: Beat Street (Lifting Reverse STO Facecrusher)
1 "MDK" (murderdeathkill) Finishing Move CaliFace CrossFornia (Flawless crossface with scissored armbar)
Trios Information
Name: The California Kings
Based Out of: San Diego, California
Team Music: “Dangerous” by Busta Rhymes
Team Finisher: Top Flight Drop (Slingshot Catapult Toprope Bulldog combination, however you wanna slice it)
Brief Background:
California Slam has made a living of finding the right people for the job. He owns multiple businesses. He rubs elbows with all the right people. However, Slam spends most of his day working towards a return in the ring and, after some very long years and a lot of miles travelled, he has all the right pieces to get the job done.
In the early winter of 2008, Slam came across the massive and strong Jeff Jackson. Finding himself locked into small time gigs in the Steel City, Slam offered Jackson the chance to continue wrestling without worrying about having to make ends meet. Jackson joined Slam’s entourage in San Diego shortly after to continue wrestling and begin studying under Slam, who was able to furnish the finest amenities and hire the top experts in the field.
The two spent some time honing their teamwork skills but, for the most part, Slam’s focus was on turning Jackson into a polished wrestler. In a strange turn of events, Slam would come across the third grappler he would later add to his outfit by mere happenstance.
A Bolivian immigrant, going by the name of Mariguano, was creating a buzz around the California wrestling scene. Slam decided that Jackson should get in the ring with him and test his progress. The pure speed, energy, and agility of the young sparkplug was enough to turn Slam’s head so much that he was soon on his way to San Diego to train with Jackson and Slam.
Now, with a charismatic luchador and mammoth man from the mountains by his side, California Slam looks to DEFIANCE as their vehicle to the wrestling record books.
