With the MCW merger with UCW in full swing, and Center Stage 5 posted, I thought it would be a good time to drop a few notes by everyone to make sure everyone is tracking.
Personal
First of all, my Army career. Things are a little upside down with my family and I these days due to my orders to deploy with my new unit that I am supposed to link up with next month. Complicating things is my medical issues. I have back problems that stem from a convoy attack in July of 2003 north of Tikrit, Iraq. They have plagued me for the last 3 years and until recently I just tried to ignore them, even when there were days that I couldn't move... much less conduct training.
The doctors informed me this week that they are initiating a Medical Board procedure on me. Basically, that locks me down here in California until the medical board has reviewed my medical records to determine whether they can still use my broke ass in the military or not.
While the immediate good news is that I won't be deploying to Iraq on schedule, and might not have to go at all, it does cast doubts as to when I will be exiting the Army. That means I have a lot of questions about my future and employment. I'll keep you updated on that as things progress. I'm still trying to stay in shape and work around my physical deficiencies to correct the back problems.
Center Stage 5
I was very pleased with how everything turned out with this past Center Stage. Most everyone RP'd, which is a step in the right direction. Not only did they RP, but two of the matches where really hard for me to decide the winner.
I would like to take this time to applaud the handlers of Nakita Dahaka, Rob Franklin, Joseph Justice, Sanket Desai, and Justin Sane for the awesome work on RP'ing.
With the merger, there is no doubt in my mind that MCW competitors can hang with their UCW counterparts.
Special thanks goes out to Patrick (handler of Dahaka) and Shane (owner of UCW) for their assistance with writing matches for the card.
MCW's Future
While MCW will be closing it's doors in the storyline, I'm hoping to hold a special show within the next month or so that properly sends all of the wrestlers off to their futures in UCW. Ideas are welcome, but I'm thinking that I will hold some sort of SUPERSHOW along the same lines of TEAM's currently being produced SUPERSHOW.
It will be MCW's farewell, and will be open to any character that chooses to participate. Obviously, I will be focusing a lot of attention on current and former MCW superstars.
The immediate future will be a posted lineup for a special House Show with short formed results to keep everyone involved till their big matches. This should help people with RP skills and make for some sort of entertainment.
Firings
This being my sixth show posted in the last couple of months, I think it's safe to fire some of the dead weight before it contaminates the rest of the roster. Therefore, the following characters are hereby fired.
Steve Marlay
Pulsar
Reno Kidd
John Doe
Blade
I am deleting their profiles from the database as we speak.
Thanks
Everyone has been a blast to work with and I apologize that my life interfered with our all having tons of fun. This was my first attempt to run an E-fed, and I'd like to think that in a short period of time I had some success. I tried a few things that haven't been tried often to my knowledge such as more short forming of matches, more of a ranking system, a proper fed cycle with faster turnaround for cards, and more interaction between handlers and staff.
Stay tuned folks, as I am helping Shane behind the scenes with everything and you have definitely not seen the end of my involvement in e-fedding. I'm around!
