Wow .. this fire is insane.

As most of you know .. I recently moved closer to downtown last month to be closer to school ...

I moved down from Rancho Bernardo .. which is the northern most part of San Diego city ... and also one of the badly burnt areas. It's a good thing I moved when I did!

Luckily, I am closer to downtown than most of hte fires that are burning right now (although there are reports of flames hitting La Mesa / Spring Valley which is maybe 15minutes east of me)... so I haven't been evacuated yet. Although the weather is dry and its HOT today.

I posted some pictures of the high way ... this is on SUNDAY before hte fires hit Rancho Bernardo (I went up on Sunday to get some more items from my old place ... like my fish) ...

The pictures are on the main highway (the 15) ... at 2 pm ... on a bright and sunny day ...

Good luck man -- hope they start to get everything under control as things start to cool down and the Santa Anas hopefully shift. The company I work for has a big office in La Jolla that was shut down today because so many of the folks had been evacuated from their homes.
