I can't blame the family for not wanting to go to San Diego. It'd be easy to say, you're making millions (or will be) shut up and just get drafted, but...that franchise is awful. Archie having ruined his career with the Saints....you know, I can't fault them too much.

They do have the right to sit and get redrafted, so there's some legal leverage here being toyed with.

I guess the bigger question is, were the Chargers going to draft him anyway?

Come on, Steven Jackson to the Cowboys! pleaseeeee

But with the Chargers luck, if they drafted him, he'd be a bigger bust than Ryan Leaf.

After two "A" grade drafts the past two years, my Cowboys draft looks middle of the road.

Parcells was scared off by Jackson's health (as if that's a concern) and thought Julius Jones had the most explosive plays' in '03. We got a OL who has talent but has stayed dinged up over his career in the 2nd round.

This could be a good draft. Usually we draft OL very well. The key though is Jones. If he's good....it's a high quality draft, and taking Buffalo's 1st in '05 could be nice.

We're a year or two away from seriously competing. Those 2 1sts could really shape the team for the future next year.

But the key is the lineman and being right on Jones.

Then gain...Terrell Davis was a 6th rounder as was Brady ("(echoes)Brady, Brady'...Brady..") and Dommick Davis was a 3rd rounder who's scouting report was that he'd help on special teams.

So..hey...you always have to play the games to see how the drafts pan out.
