(Fade into Steve Johnson standing in a locker room at a local gym. He is wearing baggy red and silver Ohio State mesh shorts and a black tank top. He looks like he just finished working out as he is covered in sweat and wiping himself off with a towel. Inside his locker sit a variety of protein bars and nutritional supplements. He sits down on the bench in front of his locker leans his back against the locker takes a deep breath and begins to speak.)
Steve Johnson: Victory does not begin on the mat, but it begins weeks and months before the match. I don’t rely on catchy clichés or chair shots to get over; I make it a goal to be in better shape and a harder worker then whoever I wrestle. My goal isn’t to be better than my opponent, but it is to be perfect. I do not want to be perfect for my sake, but for the sake of the poor guy who comes to Merrython from Hoboken making 9 bucks an hour. He puts down part of his salary to have a drink and watch a match not because he loves wrestling as much as we do, but because he wants to get lost in what we do. I can’t recall the countless times people filled the stands at Ohio State to watch amateur wrestling, not because they knew the rules, but because they wanted to forget about their lives for a while. I don’t wrestle for the money, I don’t wrestle for the girls, I wrestle for fans like that.
(Points to the camera and his voice picks up sounding a bit antagonistic)
SJ: Who do you wrestle for Luster? What brings you to match? Other than chasing past glory, your time has come and gone. All you are left with are the memories made of some match with some other guy past his prime that even fans like me can’t remember. What kind of force are you? Do you think anyone in the stands is putting their but down in a seat to watch you wrestle? NO! They do however spend money to make sure that guys like you never win. They put their paychecks down to watch me beat you, pin you, and then just like the fans forget about you.
Now UB, who are you really? Do you hide behind a screen and white text because you fear peopling seeing the emotions behind the words? Do you also hide behind those big words like hubris and Herodetus, what the hell does any of that mean? You sound like a College Professor who has lost his way. I may not know what those mean, but I do know this no body cares what they mean. You take power in being this unknown force constructed for battle, but at the Pay Per View, you got taken down by an unknown force, and that was me. The title shot you wanted I took, because as good as you are constructed for battle, I was made better.
(He stands up and begins to stare at the camera with a stern look on his face. His forehead begins to wrinkle as he begins to speak slowly.)
SJ: At the Pay Per View you both had your chance to put me out in a match that was meant for men like you. At Merrython get ready to be put out in a match that was meant for me. Neither of you will be able to rely on chairs, lighters, or cash registers to put me or Rage down. We have all fought, but can either of you wrestle?
(Fade out as Steve Johnson glares at the camera with icy resolve in his eyes.)
