BRANDON JACOBS: We are back and before we were so rudely interrupted by that commercial break, we were going to get into the FAO Schwatz match at Merrython. The current BAD World Heavyweight Champion and the only champion to survive the PPV Jared Wells will team up with the debuting Shane Southern to face Michael Manson and the up and coming Thirteen.

JONATHAN MARX: Manson has some back problems post match with Copycat so he may not be the same person out there tonight, but he is going to do his best to fight off Southern whom clearly has a grudge to settle after a very close Ultratitle final.

VIC WATERS: I have a feeling we are going to see a much darker side of Manson tonight.

JONATHAN MARX: But this match is even bigger than Southern verses Manson, Merrython marks the turn around of Jared Wells’ career when he had one of the wildest matches in WFW history against Edmunds and Wylde and I have a feeling he is going to want to mark that anniversary with a victory here tonight.

VIC WATERS: Wells may have won the match against Thirteen at the PPV, but he certainly didn’t win the war. Thirteen is going to go balls out tonight to show that he deserves to be on the grand stage and try to shove it is Wells’ face in his match as revenge for what happened at the PPV.

BRANDON JACOBS: Thirteen may have the wrong partner for that tonight because historically Manson seems to lose the next match after the big show.

JONATHAN MARX: The problem is when you get up for a big match like Manson did for Copycat, you can’t always train like you want on a high level for two matches in a row. That is why his back is as messed up as it is most likely.

VIC WATERS: What did Manson do again in that match to hurt his back? I didn’t see anything during the match.

BRANDON JACOBS: I have to think it is accumulation of bumps instead of one big one because at no time in the match was his back in all that bad of shape. The pain probably didn’t strike him until the next day.

VIC WATERS: I don’t know if I really trust Manson. This is the same man who faked being in a wheelchair in NFW for months at end.

JONATHAN MARX: What possible reason would Manson have to lie about that?

VIC WATERS: He could be trying to lure Wells and Southern into a false sense of security so when the match happens later tonight, he’ll have the upper hand.

JONATHAN MARX: I don’t know, in WFW, Manson has been pretty honest with the fans. He doesn’t do things like that.

VIC WATERS: That is your problem, you trust Manson way too much.

JONATHAN MARX: Manson has no reason to be sneaky because he is capable of doing things right to your face without needing a master plan. I think Manson may be legitly hurt. That being said, Manson has a very high tolerance for pain, I don’t think the back will be a major factor in the match tonight.

VIC WATERS: We will see.

BRANDON JACOBS: We have plenty of time to talk about Wells & Southern vs. Manson & Thirteen. Lets get to the match at hand… Ron Artest will be making his professional debut here tonight against Pitt, a man who has caused a lot of controversy in his career.

JONATHAN MARX: Pitt is one of those characters that finds shelter in the darkness in men, but we all have our problems and they manifest themselves in different ways in different people.

VIC WATERS: Life isn’t a bed of roses. There are a lot of things in life that you can’t explain that if there is a God, why he lets it happen… like letting my Poland Spring bottles run out… so they turn on traditional ways of thinking in order to find their answers and maybe a little bit of solace.

BRANDON JACOBS: He can find all the solace he wants in the darkness, but Ron Artest is looking to make an impact tonight here against Pitt and he is equally if not more unstable than Pitt himself.

JONATHAN MARX: Artest’s actions were totally reprehensible when he went into the crowd after the fans just because they were getting on him.

VIC WATERS: Artest has to look out for Artest. When you pop off your mouth about someone, you deserve a belt in the mouth. Artest isn’t going to let everyone walk all over him. He is going to take it to Pitt old school like only he knows how..

JONATHAN MARX: You are just saying that because Pitt and Thirteen tried to take out your boy Jared Wells.

VIC WATERS: I am not saying that isn’t true, but I’d love Ron Artest regardless. And just like his teammate Reggie Miller, he is going to shut up all of these New York fans tonight who came to support Thirteen and Pitt in their goth outfits worshiping death and the occult like it was the second coming of Doc Silver and all of his boys from St. John are going to celebrate the beginning of a new era here in WFW in style.

JONATHAN MARX: St. John’s still have fans?

BRANDON JACOBS: Folks, lets send this one to ringside and get this show underway!

RING ANNOUNCER: Introducing first from Parts Unknown, standing at over 6’11… PITT!

:: The crowd goes silent as smoke begins to billow forth from all entrances. The lights darken to a deep purple hue and the Jumbotron starts seeping blood. As it flows it outlines “PITT”. You hear a voice: “And from the darkness, your deepest fears come to life….” Cue up Static-X – Bled for Days. The purple lights begin to strobe as Pitt appears under the Jumbotron and walks to the ring. He flings himself over the top rope and lands on one knee. Slowly rising the lights return to normal, the music fades, and the fog dissipates::

RING ANNOUNCER: And his opponent, the 2003-2004 Defensive Player of the Year and NBA All-Star, put your hands together before he puts his hands on you…. ST JOHN’S OWN RON ARTEST!

(CUEUP: “In Da Club” by 50 Cent)

::Artest comes out to a huge Artest chant, he takes off his jersey and throws it
into the crowd and enters the ring::

VIC WATERS: He is just a tad bit over. St. John has a few more fans than you think.

*bell rings*

JONATHAN MARX: My god, I think I felt the earth shake for that one… well maybe not, but it was loud.

BRANDON JACOBS: ARTEST BULL RUSHES PITT AND ASSAULTS HIM WITH A SERIES OF RIGHT HANDS RIGHT TO THE HEAD AND HE DRIVES HIM INTO THAT CORNER!

CROWD: ARTEST! ARTEST! ARTEST!

JONATHAN MARX: The Red Storm is alive and well.

BRANDON JACOBS: Artest grabs Pitt by the arm…. HE IRISH WHIPS HIM ACROSS THE RING INTO THE OTHER TURNBUCKLE AND PITT CRASHES IN BACK FIRST!

VIC WATERS: Who is the rookie now?

JONATHAN MARX: Artest looks impressive, but you have to remember, Pitt hasn’t wrestled in awhile either.

BRANDON JACOBS: ARTEST CHARGES THE CORNER WITH A SPLASH…. PITT MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AND ARTEST GOES CHEST FIRST INTO THE TURNBUCKLE AND STUMBLES BACK!

JONATHAN MARX: Pitt may be a big man, but he has cat like reactions in that ring.

BRANDON JACOBS: PITT PICKS ARTEST UP AND HE TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A SIDEWALK SLAM! Pitt is going for the cover!

VIC WATERS: Come on Artest!

BRANDON JACOBS: The referee is going down to count! 1------------------------------------------------------------------2------------------------------------------------ ARTEST GETS THE SHOULDER UP!

VIC WATERS: Artest is making his professional debut today and could have very well have been stunned by the combination crash into the turnbuckle and sidewalk slam but he made a hell of a recovery simply to kick out of that one.

BRANDON JACOBS: Pitt picks up Artest and he makes a gestured to the crowd that he is going to put the hometown boy away.

JONATHAN MARX: The longer this match goes, the more it favors Artest. Pitt is likely to catch the rookie off guard early.

BRANDON JACOBS: PITT PICKS UP ARTEST FOR A TOMBSTONE…. HE HOLDS HIM UP IN THE AIR BEFORE DRIVING HIM HEAD FIRST INTO THE MAT!

JONATHAN MARX: Artest is being shown as much mercy as he did for those fans in the crowd.

VIC WATERS: Pitt doesn’t want to lose to a basketball player. This isn’t an episode of Scooby Doo.

BRANDON JACOBS: Artest is motionless….. PITT LAYS BACK ON ARTEST…. THE REF GOES DOWN TO COUNT! 1-------------------------------------------------------------------------2-------------------------------- ARTEST GETS HIS FOOT ON THE ROPES!

VIC WATERS: YES!

JONATHAN MARX: I have to give Artest credit, he had a hell of a presence of mind to get his leg on the rope to break the count. Savoy has trained him well.

VIC WATERS: If you are going to be trained by someone, it doesn’t get any better than Savoy.

BRANDON JACOBS: A frustrated Pitt picks up Artest and he starts working over Artest with shots to the body right into his ribs.... SEVERAL HARD SHOTS!

JONATHAN MARX: Artest is a lanky fellow, those shots have to be leaving quite an effect on him.

VIC WATERS: Artest is one of the best conditioned players in the NBA, Pitt can work over his body all that he wants, but it isn’t going to eat his stamina all that much.

BRANDON JACOBS: Pitt picks up Artest… HE DROPS HIM HEAD FIRST INTO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE

VIC WATERS: Artest is tough, he’ll suck it up.

BRANDON JACOBS: It seems like he caught Artest off center because Artest isn’t completely out of it but he does look shaken up.

JONATHAN MARX: Artest has a strong chin on him.

BRANDON JACOBS: PITT GRABS ARTEST BY THE THROAT AND HE IS TRYING TO CHOKE THE LIFE OUT OF HIM!

VIC WATERS: The Dennis Rodman of the WFW…

BRANDON JACOBS: ARTEST KNEES PITT IN THE GROIN AND REF IS YELLING AT ARTEST IF HE FOULS PITT AGAIN HE IS GOING TO RING THE BELL!

JONATHAN MARX: It is amazing that no matter what the size, a shot to the groin is a great equalizer.

BRANDON JACOBS: ARTEST HITS PITT WITH THE IMPLANT DDT! HE DROVE HIM HEAD FIRST INTO THE MAT!

JONATHAN MARX: Artest caught Pitt off guard, he is wrestling like a pro tonight.

BRANDON JACOBS: Artest jumps onto Pitt…. AND HE IS KNEELING ON THE THROAT OF PITT TRYING TO CHOKE THE AIR OUT OF HIM!

JONATHAN MARX: The referee is trying to desperately get Artest off of Pitt before he does any serious damage but Artest is a man possessed.

VIC WATERS: He doesn’t want to look bad in front of his homies in New York City.

BRANDON JACOBS: The referee is warning Artest that if he doesn’t get off of Pitt’s neck, he is going to disqualify him!

VIC WATERS: What does a brother have to do to buy a break from mister policeman.

BRANDON JACOBS: The referee is putting a count on now…. ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! ARTEST BREAKS BEFORE THE FIVE!

JONATHAN MARX: Artest is bending the rules to the fullest extent of the law.

BRANDON JACOBS: Artest and the referee are jawing back and forth, the referee seems like he is really agitated at Artest…. ARTEST PICKS UP PITT AND SLAMS HIM WITH THE ST. JOHN SLAM!

CROWD: ARTEST! ARTEST! ARTEST!

JONATHAN MARX: Artest may be stringy, but boy he is powerful.

BRANDON JACOBS: ARTEST IS GOING FOR THE COVER! The ref goes down to count!

VIC WATERS: KICK OUT PITT!

BRANDON JACOBS: The ref goes down to count! 1----------------------------------------------------------------2---------------------------------- PITT MANAGES TO GET THE SHOULDER UP!

VIC WATERS: Thank god… or whatever Pitt worships.

BRANDON JACOBS: Artest is arguing with the referee, he thought he had the three.

JONATHAN MARX: This is no time to get a technical, he needs to find a way to take Pitt out.

BRANDON JACOBS: Artest is going to the turnbuckle… AND HE IS CLIMBING UP TO THE TOP ROPE!

JONATHAN MARX: This could be the missile dropkick he has been working on.

VIC WATERS: AIR ARTEST!

BRANDON JACOBS: Artest reaches the top…. PITT BOLTS UP AND HE RUNS INTO THE CORNER AND REACHES UP AND HE GRABS ARTEST BY THE NECK…. HE HITS HIM WITH THE EMBRACE CHOKESLAM FROM THE TOP!

VIC WATERS: NO DAMNIT! HE HAD HIM!

BRANDON JACOBS: PITT GOES FOR THE COVER! The ref goes down to count! 1------------------------------------------------------------2-----------------------------3!

RING ANNOUNCER: The winner of the match….. PITT!

VIC WATERS: That seemed like quick three to me.

BRANDON JACOBS: PITT ROLLS OUT OF THE RING AND ARTEST IS GETTING UP AND HE IS YELLING AT THE REFEREE! Oh man….

JONATHAN MARX: Did the referee just tell Ron Artest to **** off?

BRANDON JACOBS: Artest is trying to keep his cool…..BUT THE REFEREE IS CONTINUING TO YELL AT ARTEST! It looks like Artest is going to walk away, he doesn’t want to get kicked out of the WFW….

JONATHAN MARX: This is the kind of self control Artest needs to show if he is going to be a success in WFW…

BRANDON JACOBS: A FRUSTRATED ARTEST TURNS BACK AROUND AND HE KICKS THE REFEREE IN THE MIDSECTION AND HITS HIM WITH THE ARTESTOSTERONE!

CROWD: ARTEST! ARTEST! ARTEST!

BRANDON JACOBS: ARTEST IS CALLING TO A FAN IN THE CROWD AND HE THROWS HIM A RED STORM FLAG! Artest takes the flag…. AND HE BURIES THE REFEREE UNDER THE RED STORM BANNER!

CROWD: RED STORM! RED STORM! RED STORM!

JONATHAN MARX: Artest may have lost this match, but certainly has made an impact here tonight.

BRANDON JACOBS: Folks, we have to take a commercial break, when we comeback, Silencer vs. AKIRA’s Ghost…. STAY TUNED!
