BRANDON JACOBS: Welcome everyone to Great Expectations, we are live on pay per view from Dublin, Ireland, as the march towards the Superbowl of Wrestling continues!

JONATHAN MARX: A year ago tonight Sean Edmunds defeated the man who defeated Shawn Hart, Scotty Michaels in an iron man match and became the WFW World Heavyweight Champion.

VIC WATERS: Copycat was in that main event too, but he was the special referee.

BRANDON JACOBS: Tonight is a magical night too because Anarky will receive his first shot at the WFW World Heavyweight against his arch rival and the champion Copycat.

JONATHAN MARX: I’ve seen some guys need three or four shots like Manson and Shawn Hart to win the World Heavyweight Title, on the other, winning the world title is rarely easy and only two or three guys have done it in their first attempt. I don’t think Copycat is going to give up that title without a fight. It took him over a year to get that shot with everyone holding him back and now that he is on top of the mountain, he is going to want to stay there for as long as possible.

VIC WATERS: Copycat and Anarky have been feuding for over a year. Imagine if Anarky if Copycat stole that title away from and everything he has worked so hard to achieve. That would be sweet.

BRANDON JACOBS: I have a feeling, regardless of who wins, that match is going to be a war. As we march into the Superbowl of Wrestling, this is the final defense before the big show and the winner is going to be the one to headline as the World Heavyweight Champion. Last year Alex Wylde won the World Heavyweight Title at Road to Glory after ten years of waiting to win the big one and he got that opportunity to headline the Superbowl of Wrestling as both WFW President and World Heavyweight Champion having reached the top of his game…. Only to lose to Manson at the Superbowl of Wrestling and lose everything in one night.

JONATHAN MARX: Manson had a long fight to get there too, it took him over a year to win the WFW World Heavyweight Title and he was turned back by both Doc Silver and Shawn Hart on the way. It just shows how important these title shots are and how hard it is to hold on the title.

BRANDON JACOBS: There is just so much competition these days, it makes what Manson did all the more amazing and Copycat is looking for that chance to show the world that he is every bit the champion Manson and Shawn Hart were. If he can beat Anarky tonight, that will be a big step in that direction.
JONATHAN MARX: The question is, can he beat this hungry Anarky who has been aching for a shot at the title for a long time. I remember back in my GLCW days that Anarky was suppose to get a shot at Maelstrom and sadly before they had a chance to meet, GLCW closed down and he never had a chance at the World Heavyweight Title.

VIC WATERS: Thankfully that isn’t going to happen to us despite some production delays lately.

BRANDON JACOBS: As if Copycat/Anarky for the title isn’t enough, tonight El Arco Iris fresh off of taking Sebastian Dodd out of action will put his WFW North American Title up against former CSWA World Heavyweight Champion Dan Ryan.

JONATHAN MARX: El Arco Iris is changed man. He let all his missed opportunities drive him to the edge and that is what caused him to eventually snap and some say gave him the extra something which helped him win the WFW North American Title. But now all the he has worked for could go down the tubes if he can find a way to beat Dan Ryan tonight.

VIC WATERS: He has slayed bigger men than Dan Ryan. Hell, last year he beat Iron Lion at the Superbowl of Wrestling in one of the shockers of the show.

BRANDON JACOBS: There is a good chance though that El Arco Iris may not have even beat Psycho this last time if it wasn’t for Dan Ryan and Maelstrom running in and doing a number of him.

JONATHAN MARX: But Psycho fought back from all that, no doubt it contributed to all the punishment he took, but El Arco Iris still had to find a way to finish him off himself. El Arco Iris rightfully earned this championship. Not just with his last effort, but all of his previous ones as well.

BRANDON JACOBS: Psycho was a hell of a champion, everytime I thought he was going to lose the title, he came back stronger than before. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen and that is why I think this may be a blessing in disguise for Psycho. Now that he isn’t busy defending the WFW North American Title, maybe he’lll be able to make a serious run at the World Title.

VIC WATERS: That is all good, and I have no doubt he wants that World Heavyweight title, but Psycho still wants revenge for Dan Ryan costing him what he held so dearly. I’d be shocked if we didn’t see Psycho in some form tonight trying to get revenge against Ryan by costing him his chance at the title like he cost him.

BRANDON JACOBS: That is part of the reason why I have no idea who will win this match. El Arco Iris is a guy who fought Manson tooth and nail and almost wrestled away his title down in Mexico. He has a way of stepping up when the odds are mounted against him and going to the limit. Dan Ryan, win or lose is in for a long night.

VIC WATERS: Speaking of a long night, both Jared Wells and Steve Johnson will be wrestling twice tonight with their second match being for the BAD World Heavyweight Title.

JONATHAN MARX: Jared Wells holding the BAD World Heavyweight Title as long as he has is unprecedented in this day and age especially in the kind of matches that surround the BAD World Heavyweight Title. That title is only for the toughest of the tough, whether they brawl or take it to the mat, Jared Wells has shown the stuff that he is made of over this last year and there are few better.

BRANDON JACOBS: If I had to vote for comeback of the year, I’d give it to the Jared Wells. He is the clear hands down winner by far. The only guy who comes close is Cameron Cruise after that tremendous second half he had in NFW and his tag run in Empire with the Cameron Cruise Project.

VIC WATERS: I saw one ballot and they totally left Cruise off, I have no idea how you could possibly do that with the year he had.

BRANDON JACOBS: Johnson is going to have a hell of a task on his hands beating Jared Wells.

JONATHAN MARX: Johnson’s in ring work reminds me a lot of Rabesque. His knowledge of wrestling is outstanding. All he needs is a little experience and before you know it he may be WFW World Heavyweight Champion. He really could surprise Jared Wells tonight.

BRANDON JACOBS: And last but not least, tonight we have the first round of the WFW World Tag Title Tournament.

JONATHAN MARX: There are so many great matchups in the first round, it is shame all of them couldn’t make the PPV but we have our hands tied because of time restraints. But I am particularly looking forward to Bloodhunt & Golem taking on Noble Sheik & Psycho, Mephisto & Blue Cat teaming together to face the returning Larry Tact & Robbie Wright, D.A.M.N verses Unnamed Bastard & Luster, and Rabesque & Steve Johnson verses Powermaster & Roderick.

VIC WATERS: I was great to see a lot outside guys like Beast, Roderick, Troy Douglas, and Robbie Wright come in for the tag tournament. If we are going to get tag team wrestling back into the swing of things, we need to make it a joint effort beyond the walls of WFW.

JONATHAN MARX: Tag team wrestling is a dying art, the Cameron Cruise Project has done a great deal by bringing tag team wrestling back into the fold after a dark age over in Empire but we need to take what has been done and make it even stronger to ensure that tag team wrestling will be around for years to come.

VIC WATERS: Amen brother.

BRANDON JACOBS: Folks, we have to take a commercial break, but when we comeback, Black Rose will have results for the four matches taped before the show began, stay tuned everyone!
