JONATHAN MARX: Rabesque looked sharp. That was a great way to start a PPV.
VIC WATERS: When you start off a show with Sands vs. Rabesque, you know you are in for a big night.
BRANDON JACOBS: Rabesque is off to a hell of a ….. ::grabs earpiece to listen to the news being conveyed to him:: We have some bad news. There has been another attack.
JONATHAN MARX: ANOTHER ATTACK?!
BRANDON JACOBS: We had hoped it was just the bad weather, but Gideon never showed up for the show tonight and we simply figured he would be late. Apparently it is much worse than we thought, Gideon was working late doing some paper work in his office when he was attacked and put through the window in his office.
VIC WATERS: Jesus.
BRANDON JACOBS: Apparently he hurt his back seriously and scrapped his face up pretty bad, the doctor says it will be several months before he can return to the ring.
JONATHAN MARX: That is a shame, Gideon has been a fixture since day one over the close to two years that WFW has been open. He has battled with everyone from Doc Silver to Michael Manson and he has always held his own. It would be great to see him against guys like Jean Rabesque, Sebastian Dodd, and Adam Benjamin ripping the joint up with technical displays that only he could do.
VIC WATERS: The amazing thing is he had all those great matches with Doc as a rookie. He got off to such a great start and had a hell of a WFW North American Title run until Psycho beat him, eclipsing Manson’s record as champ. It is a damn shame.
JONATHAN MARX: We have to find out who is responsible for the attacks behind Scotty Michaels and Richard Gideon before whoever this maniac strikes again and who knows who he will take with him next time.
BRANDON JACOBS: When it happened to Scotty Michaels, I really thought it was going to be an isolated attack. Scotty Michaels had made a lot of enemies over his tenure and while it wasn’t right to attack Michaels out of the arena, I could understand that. But for the life of me, I can’t understand this. What has Richard Gideon done to draw this wrath from this maniac? He always nothing but an upstanding citizen, inside and OUTSIDE of the ring.
JONATHAN MARX: They don’t come much better than Gideon.
VIC WATERS: ::raises his Poland Spring Bottle up to the camera:: God bless you Gideon, thank you for everything you have done for World’s Finest and we wish you a speedy return.
JONATHAN MARX: Brandon and I echo that sentiment. Gideon, get well soon.
