After the events that happened at happened at Merrython between Edmunds and Doe where Edmunds hired the Noble Sheik to take Doe out, the WFW board of directors has made this a Loser Leaves Town match with the person losing the fall being ousted from competing in World’s Finest for at least two months.
JONATHAN MARX: Let me tell you, things out there these days aren’t easy. I haven’t had a competitive match in over four months between NFW and NEW. If it wasn’t for this broadcasting gig, I’d almost be out of wrestling completely.
VIC WATERS: Works for me, more time to sit home and drink.
BRANDON JACOBS: This could be the reason why you are the only person on the liver donor list signed up for two even before they have had any problems.
VIC WATERS: It never hurts to have a spare.
BRANDON JACOBS: Speaking of needing some spare parts, when an infuriated Doe gets his hands on Edmunds, it isn’t going to be pretty. Doe may not be as accomplished as Edmunds yet in his career, but we all saw how he fought back against Rocko Daymon after getting dropped on his head several times, Doe can take an extraordinary amount of punishment and comeback for more.
JONATHAN MARX: Edmunds can take punishment with the best of them as well. He wrestled two matches at Merrython, one against Anarky, another against both Jared Wells and Southern, and between those two matches he got brutally attacked by Doe.
VIC WATERS: We don’t really know if Edmunds was wrestling as Mephisto.
JONATHAN MARX: If he wasn’t, he was sure doing his best Edmunds impression and he did end Southern’s career with the Northern Lights Suplex.
BRANDON JACOBS: Poor Shane Southern, Edmunds is going to be bragging about that forever.
VIC WATERS: Edmunds would love to brag about putting John Doe out of wrestling too. Many people early this year hyped up Doe as one of the up and coming stars of 2005. If Edmunds could take him out, he could show the world that who deserves the shot at Copycat or Anarky at the Superbowl of Wrestling.
JONATHAN MARX: I am going to predict an upset, I think Doe is going to find a way to beat Edmunds and put him on the shelf for two months; Everyone is predicting is going to win this, but Edmunds has had a couple of losses here and there lately and he is coming off a Merrython where he suffered extensive injuries. I don’t know if Edmunds is 100% going into this match and that clearly favors Doe.
VIC WATERS: You may be right, and I’ve considered all that, but the great x-factor in this match is Sherri on the outside. She is willing to do anything in order to make sure that her man wins.

VIC WATERS: Edmunds has to find a way to use it to his advantage.

VIC WATERS: That was more like a seven count than a three count!

VIC WATERS: There needs to be two referees for matches of this importance, you are putting people’s careers at stake.
BRANDON JACOBS: Edmunds ends his ranting and he goes to pick Doe up off the mat…. DOE HITS HIM WITH A JAWBREAKER AND HE FINALLY BREAKS THE MOMENTUM OF EDMUNDS!
JONATHAN MARX: Doe needed that badly.

VIC WATERS: Sherri is yelling at Edmunds in order to keep him from dazing out but all these shots look like they are having an effect on him.
BRANDON JACOBS: Doe raises up three fingers…. HE PICKS UP EDMUNDS AGAIN AND IRISH WHIPS HIM OFF THE ROPES…. HE HITS WITH A THIRD AND FINAL FLYING FOREARM SMASH AND EDMUNDS LOOKS LIKE HE WAS KNOCKED OUT COLD!
JONATHAN MARX: Doe is using all the energy he has to bum rush Edmunds and catch him off guard just enough to get the three.
VIC WATERS: It is a hell of a strategy.

BRANDON JACOBS: The ref gets up and he is telling Doe that Edmunds’ foot was on the bottom rope and Doe looks like he is frustrated at the world right now.
JONATHAN MARX: This could cost him his chance to be a part of the biggest show of the year.
VIC WATERS: And a hell of a payday too…
BRANDON JACOBS: DOE IS SIGNALING THAT HE IS GOING TO END THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL WITH THE AMNESIA ATTACK!

VIC WATERS: Doe should be DQed, there is no reason to strike a referee like that.
JONATHAN MARX: Edmunds is the one who did it.
BRANDON JACOBS: Edmunds is down on his hands and knees and he is calling over to Sherri….. SHERRI IS TAKING SOMETHING OUT OF HER PURSE!
JONATHAN MARX: It looks like it is a wrist band.

VIC WATERS: That is brilliant, he is hiding the ether soaked cloth in plain sight where even if the referee saw it, he’d just think it was part of Edmunds’ ring attire.
JONATHAN MARX: God damn Edmunds, he always does this. He always finds a way to screw you in the end.
