BRANDON JACOBS: Welcome everyone to the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, we are live tonight with a pre-Great Expectations show, a show we have literally dragged out of the moth balls…. ALMOST LIVE!
JONATHAN MARX: I remember as a kid watching Almost Live in both MFL and NGEN and it was always a special event. There were only two or three matches on the show, but there was always a special match that you remembered long after and tonight I think we have one of those.
BRANDON JACOBS: Tonight on the show we will have a special two match card, in the first match of the evening, the ranked high flying mini Arquito Iris will return to face off against the newest member of the D.A.M.N. Artestito and in the main event, Sean Edmunds and John Doe will face off in a No DQ, No Countout Loser Leaves Town match where one man will leave WFW for the next three months.
VIC WATERS: Edmunds has already had some practice ending Southern’s career at Merrython, he has to be salivating at the chance of putting John Doe out of wrestling for the next three months.
JONATHAN MARX: John Doe is going to fight tooth and nail to keep that from happening and after what Edmunds did sending Noble Sheik after him at Merrython, I think he is the man who is more motivated in this match.
VIC WATERS: Noble Sheik made him a human pin cushion and he still went after Edmunds later that night and put him through a table. If it wasn’t for the unknown masked man, he would have even set Edmunds on fire.
JONATHAN MARX: I like Doe, but he went way too far and he let the anger get the best of him.
VIC WATERS: You know Edmunds is going to try to rile up Doe and let his anger get the best of him and when that happens, eventually Doe is going to make a mistake and Edmunds being the veteran that he is going to capitalize on it.
JONATHAN MARX: Edmunds went through hell physically at Merrython, even if he has more of his wits to him than Doe, Doe is going to take advantage of all of Edmunds condition and try to beat him that way.
VIC WATERS: Despite Edmunds not being 100%, he still has that championship instinct to him. Never count a former WFW World Heavyweight Champion out even when he seems like he is on death’s door.
JONATHAN MARX: We will see.
BRANDON JACOBS: That match is going to be the polar opposite of Artestito verses Arquito Iris and I have a feeling on whose side this New York crowd is going to be.
VIC WATERS: Ever since El Arco Iris turned, Arquito Iris has been boozing so much Mike Lane asked him to be his mini.
JONATHAN MARX: He came in with a cigar in his mouth swearing at all the little kids to leave him alone and then he gave them the finger.
VIC WATERS: It was utterly hilarious.
JONATHAN MARX: To us, yes, but all of those kids were upset that there hero has turned into such a lout.
VIC WATERS: The sooner those kids learn life is full of disappointments the better.
JONATHAN MARX: Next thing you know you’ll be telling them there is no tooth fairy…
VIC WATERS: There isn’t even a Great Pumpkin.
JONATHAN MARX: Now you are hitting below the belt.
BRANDON JACOBS: Folks, we have to settle these two down, but when we comeback, ARQUITO IRIS WILL FACE OFF AGAINST ARTESTITO! STAY TUNED!
