After careful consideration I did vote yes and I would participate in the WeWA.

First off I would like to state that I enjoy DEF in every form that we've had while I was in DEF, from angle to Rping and everywhere in between.

With that said, I believe that our format angle wise would work out with the Rping side of things just because we have our shit planned out and in stone for each arc. It makes us look like we know what we're doing instead of taking days after rping to put a show together. We already know the outcome of the matches, how the arc is going to play out, and the segments are pre-planned.

I know a lot of you do not like having to feel out strat forms for the interfed part of this, but if you take into consideration that our bios can be copied and pasted into their strat form it's already a done deal with a few minor tweaks. And for those who want nothing to do with the WeWA I'm sure you won't be asked to participate in it and that your involvement and enjoyment in DEF will not be compromised.

The role playing aspect of the WeWA I have not even looked at because we all sucked at one time or another and that is not a reason to base whether we join an interfed or not. I learned from guys like Justin, Blue, and Shearer on how to rp so why not spread a little bit of knowledge that we've gained to some of those who haven't had the "role models" like we were able to learn from. And wouldn't it be nice that when we hit forty that we can still look on the internet and still see people playing this game because we shared with someone else somewhere down the road about this game and the ins and outs.

As far as myself goes I would participate because of this reason alone: DEF,WC:C, ACW, IWF, IFW, Firestorm Wrestling, the NeWA, and WfWA... Every one of those feds I was in with Justin and we had a fucking blast. Some of them were pic based with colors and a midi files. Some of them straight roleplays but all were fun. So where Justin goes I go.

See, the only thing about them "coming up in the NeWA" is that these are the guys who were always at the absolute bottom of the heap.

I just see the issue arising that they are so beneath the level of the DEF handlers, yet think they are far superior, that the inevitable fuckstorm of shit when they bury one of the DEF handlers to some schmuck with "69" in his name won't be worth the headache.

I voted No, we should focus on DEFIANCE.

Would Defiance go back to rping?

Reasons why I say no.

1. I don't want to go back to rping.

2. Why ruin a good thing that we have here at fwrestling?

3. If we joined WeWA would a Defiance member join the staff so it's not so one sided?

4. It's more reading. You have a hard enough time getting us to give feedback. If in WeWA we'd have to read more to know what's going on and where.

5. Strats!

That's all from me.

I voted NO, we should concentrate on Defiance.

If the intention is to "raise up" the other feds through exposure to us, it's a fool's errand. Every fed is a clique unto itself, with its own customs and attitude. Every fed looks inward and focuses on itself, not outward at others. There's no reason to believe anyone will change when they see what Defiance is doing, any more than Defiance will change after seeing other feds at work. If handlers like what we're doing, they can join us.

I also don't believe we're at a stable enough place as an angle fed where we can add another layer of complexity as a member of an interfed. Look at the constant turnover in the roster. Look at the amount of effort it takes to coordinate our own affairs and get our shit written. Justin keeps telling folks to write news posts. How's it going to look when folks are spending time roleplaying for a WeWA title match instead of on Defiance business?

I think we have something special going on, and it's only going to get better as we continue developing our characters and angles. I don't see much benefit to joining an interfed at the moment.

I was in the CAL with Jeff feds from 2001-06. I spent the entire IWA run begging him to pull out of the CAL, and the only reason I tolerated the CAL during OLW was because I felt bad having bitchflaked on IWA after he finally did pull it.

Then I didn't mind playing in the WfWA, but I refused to participate and deliberately no-showed an OLW Heavyweight Title defense because it got booked on a WfWA PPV.

So if anyone can't connect the dots, I'm the I hate everything about interfeds vote.

I voted NO, we should focus on Defiance, only because if I spelled out my stance about hating interfeds we'd be here all night. Just pretend Jeff and Lee spoke for me, look at my signature for my opinion on pic bases, and also note that their previous world champion went by the name "The Mental Rapist," which outrage aside is so fucking bush league that it makes masterofpain76 look like the second coming of Lawrence Cheung, Hunter Sabuani, AND Seymour Almasy combined.

Sabuani was gorramn fantastic when he wasn't flexing his writery muscles, and Alamasy is on this roster as a different character, so is Sean Jackson. Do you even pay attention before you say stupid shit?

Apparently you didn't read the original post.

Justin said:
WHAT THIS WOULD MEAN IF YOU'RE NOT INTERESTED: Nothing. Seriously. You wouldn't be involved.

Feel free to ask questions in this thread, and vote how you feel. In the long run nothing will change in the day-to-day operations of DEF, I'd just have to host title matches every now and again which I'm quite sure would be no issue.

Or you have an issue with simple comprehension.

I read that, I didn't know if it meant you wouldn't be involved in Defiance anymore or just the WeWA stuff.

I'm from Kentucky that doesn't mean I understand simple comprehension.

I voted yes, but don't care to participate. I definitely don't want to go back to RPing anytime soon, but if anyone else has the urge it would be nice to have an outlet there. Then again, other people in this thread brought up what I was thinking about some of these feds when I saw them. But hey, at least one of them seems decent.

I voted No/Continue, though I was on the line with Yes/Not Participating.

There is something to be said for competitive trash talk RP's having some place in this game, but at the same time, I don't like the general idea of being tied to an umbrella fed anymore. So even if this did go in the yes direction, I'd be staying away from participating.

Additionally, the idea of "upping someone's game", as others have said, will not end well for someone (re: them when they get butthurt). While there are a lot of similarities between the two styles, we play a different game and some things we say won't translate well to the other side of this game.

I voted YES for the following reasons:
- I want to piss away my vote
- Jimmy Kort ruled, you're all stupid.
- Someone said picbases are gay, you're gay, fag.
- Lee and Jeff hate it, so it must be fucking awesome.
- Voting doesn't matter, THANKS OBAMA
- Someone said something about how they don't want to RP, I think Defiance should go back to a competitive hierarchy of roleplays, ten page strategy/in-ring psychology guides, and who has the cooler angelfire website to host their unassociated wrestling novellas. Bring back MIDI Songs and embeded flash titan trons. No RP's - No peace.
- I want to post pictures of the owner by doing a simple google search and be threatened by online lawyers, again.
- ALSO: Iron Man 4 Ever.
- Furthermore, Master of Pain.
