Yay! I got this review out before Countdown went up! I'm awesome!

Not really.

Anyhoo.

Segment - Back in jOlt

Thoughts: Wippit! Nice that the crowd wouldn't let Wippit get a word in. Wippit tried so hard to talk, but that damn crowd. What's the best way to shut a crowd up? You go.. Suddenly.. HEELS! Terrorists come out and heckle Wippit, but Wippit wants them in a handicap match. They agree, but it's Underground rules and we get ourselves a nifty little set up for a match tonight! Simple setup promo, gets the job done.. not bad!

==============================

Segment - Encounter of the Flyweights

Thoughts: Aaaand were back to selling the concussion with Greg Vincent. Vincent's apparently either vulgar or drunk or both in this segment and he gets himself mixed up with Cordova and Cano... appears we have another Underground match tonight. Pretty decent segment here. I just hope Mr. Vincent remembers he has a concussion later on.

==============================

Match #1 - Underground Rules
One Eye vs Lennox Love

Thoughts: Did Dan accidentally label this as an Underground match? Because if this was an Underground match, it sure fooled the hell out of me. This looked like a straight up pro-wrestling match. Also... about 1/2 way through this very short match, I read about three paragraphs with 0 action in it. I'm sure National Geographic could spend less time detailing the cultural origins of One Eye. This kind of content should be kept to a minimum or worked better into the action to help the description of a character, but to dedicate three paragraphs of it in a match takes away from the action and bores the reader. That kind of content is better suited to a promo video segment or perhaps a cutscene/roleplay.

==============================

Segment - Let Us Gamble with the Future

Thoughts: Well that was... different. I had money on Phoenix attacking One Eye and you know what? I still do. The fact that Phoenix wouldn't let One Eye speak shows that perhaps Phoenix is lying all along. Do I smell a double role turn at Divide & Conquer? Or did One Eye really attack himself? Nice segment here with a big of skepticism in it to create mystery. I liked it.

==============================

Segment - Where's Our Tag Team Championships!? KTHNXBYE!

Thoughts: If the Heirs of Wrestling don't walk away with the tag team titles, i'll riot. That was one of the most entertaining segments I've read so far. I can't say enough good things about it so I'll leave this here on a "very well done!"

==============================

Segment - King's Ransom

Thoughts: Nice segment here by Sylo. I guess those jabs were payback for the many times I called you a blue haired b.itch. You said you would "die trying".. WRONG PPV.. WRONG PROMOTION!!! MRAHBLEGARBLE. *ahem* Good segment as always Justin. :)

==============================

Match #2 - Underground Rules
Sanchez Cano vs Greg Vincent vs Cordova

Thoughts: Well.. at least this one had weapons. Two shows in a row though where Greg Vincent mentioned he had a concussion and no sold it in a match. In fact, he "split his head open" during this match. If you had a concussion and you did that... I'm pretty sure you'd be dead right about now. Outside of the fact that the concussion was no sold again... the match was a pretty good Underground match. Enjoyable Read

==============================

Segment - Smoke Break

Thoughts: Sylo rips Natalya a new one... looks like he's going to turn into Ike Turner, but Natalya fires back with a line about Aria. Ouch. Another nice segment here from Sylo which makes that subtle connection to the segment on iNtense with Sylo and Aria. Nice continuity there.

==============================

Segment - This Day Keeps Getting Interesting

Thoughts: Damn.. Natalya isn't the only one getting the words put to her. Aria got some harsh words from SVJ because she chose to try and get Sylo's dick hard. It's like parallel worlds here with both of the people fighting over the jOlt championship and the right to be called last legacy champion having girl problems at the same time. I like this drama aspect and it's really drawing me into the emotional side of the story. Very well written promo here.

==============================

Match #3 - Handicap Match / Underground Rules
West Texas Terrorists vs Wippit Guud

Thoughts: Loved it! Match of the night so far. The classic numbers game catching up to Wippit led to his downfall then all of a sudden... SUPERBEAST. Some would say this would feel out of place as Sylo should be focusing on SVJ, but Wippit is a good friend of Sylo and Sylo has beef with the WTT for the iNtense 38 main event so this all aligns and provides continuity. Great job here!

==============================

Segment - Fines, Punishments, and Money... Oh My!

Thoughts: SVJ uses the standard corporate problem solver... a briefcase full of money. Sadly it doesn't work and Damien Lee shocks SVJ and says the Legacy title will be on the line at D&C as well! Wow.. stakes just got higher as we not only get a title defense, but the crowning of new champion that will lead jOlt! Another great segment!

==============================

Segment - Boom, Headshot!

Thoughts: OH ****! It's FPS DOUG! no wait.. it's Chris Titan. Rune Winters proved to Titan that one can simply WHOCK into another man's locker room. What? I used that joke already? Well F.UCK YOU! I USED IT AGAIN! Rune got some of his badassery (new word) back and he did it at the expense of the FBI aka the former Digital Underground. Nifty little segment. I enjoyed it.

==============================

MAIN EVENT - Underground Rules
Reno Davis vs Khristian Keller

Thoughts: Little bit of a short match for a main event, but still got the job done and with Derecho out there looking at Keller.. you got that feeling that he could be the one heading to Divide and Conquer to face him for the UG title.

==============================

Overall thoughts: Not as segment heavy as iNtense, but there was still quite a bit. The segments really delivered, though as they were all really damn good. The match department suffered once again. We had a pro wrestling match with no weapons for an Underground Match, we had an Underground match that no sold a concussion, and we had a pretty short match for the main event of a go home show. Once again, I feel the segments saved the show here.

Overall Rating: B-

Jolt Warrior 04 Review:
Note: with limited prior knowledge of happening in LoC or the previous version of Jolt.

I.SEGMENT: “Back in jOlt” feat. Wippit Guud
a. Like: Segment
b. Dislike: Spelling, here n’ there
c. Comments: This was actually a descent segment to open the show. The Terrorists want some payback for the brutality they suffered at the end of iNtense, courtesy of the SuperBeast. Wippit is over BIG with the fans. I actually love this character. He knows how to make people laugh. Not sure if the handicap match was a smart idea on Wip’s part.

II.SEGMENT: “Encounter of the Flyweights” feat. Greg Scott Vincent
a. Like: The match setup
b. Dislike: Bit wordy
c. Comments: The segment did what it intended by setting up the triple threat later on in the evening. Easy enough to follow, but a bit lengthy in terms of a backstage segment. I feel it could have been pulled off in less. I still enjoy the “numnuts” phrase that Vincent uses. Can’t help but feel Cano is disconnected, for some reason. He is definitely not connecting with the fans.

III.MATCH: “One Eye v. Lennox Love”
a. Like: The history
b. Dislike: The match
c. Comments: It was a bit out there for me, even though I understood it completely. There were a few bits that had me confused as to the placement in a wrestling match. One Eye pulled off the victory with ‘ease’ yet his mind wasn’t where it should have been. Am I missing something in this storyline?

IV.SEGMENT: “Let Us Game With The Future” feat. Phoenix
a. Like: Phoenix
b. Dislike: Nothing
c. Comments: This is the first time I thoroughly enjoyed a Phoenix segment. His way of speaking is often difficult to connect with, but he’s growing on me, as he is with the fans. The fact that One Eye attacked himself, came too abrupt. The fans really didn’t have time to let the idea sink in. Ultimately, the mention of mask vs mask sparked enough interest to make this a match to was at thePPV. “Lie-ah”, omg. Stop making me laugh with this guys English, haha.

V.SEGMENT: “Where’s our Tag Team Championships? KTHNXBYE!” feat. Heirs of Wrestling
a. Like: Entire segment
b. Dislike: Nothing
c. Comments: This is by far the best Heirs segment I’ve read to date. The way they came in and listed a few things to get Lee’s attention was smart. Logically, they should be champions right? They’re undefeated In jOlt at the moment. Then we get a Four Corners match announcement for D&C. I’m glad the tag division is being revitalized and given the proper attention. If the Heirs can continue on this path, they’ll definitely be the top dogs of the division.

VI.SEGMENT: “King’s Ransom” feat. Sylo
a. Like: Sylo’s mention of Derecho
b. Dislike: Nothing
c. Comments: Solid segment to hype up the main event. This will leave the fans wanting more, which is what’s needed. I wonder what Derecho will have to say in response to Sylo’s comments about the Underground. I don’t see him staying silent.

VII.MATCH: “Sanchez Cano v. Greg Vincent v. Cordova”
a. Like: Back and forth
b. Dislike: Nothing
c. Comments: Good moves and a solid back and forth. Vincent was kicking some ass in this match. He seemed more of a fighter than a wrestler, which works if done properly. Cordova picked up the win, which I didn’t see coming.

VIII.SEGMENT: “Smoke Break” feat. Sylo
a. Like: Interaction
b. Dislike: Nothing
c. Comments: I like these segments where we get to see the side of Sylo outside the ring. Natalia keeps popping up here and there. It seems as if her presence causes Sylo’s blood to boil, which is why he’s usually telling her to leave. Sylo is planning something for D&C and given past happening, I’d say it’s going to shock everybody. Stay tuned.

IX.SEGMENT: “This Day Keeps Getting Interesting” feat. Vince Jacobs
a. Like: Segment
b. Dislike: Nothing
c. Comments: I enjoyed this SVJ segment than any of the previous. I like how him and Aria have history. She’s actually the cause of him having to get a divorce, which is awesome! This is a serious love triangle… err… square… or quad… nevermind. You get it.

X.MATCH: “West Texas Terrorists v. Wippit Guud”
a. Like: Retro Wippit
b. Dislike: Nothing
c. Comments: This was a great match. I liked Wip’s strategy against the twin brothers, especially the double brass knucks, priceless. The odds were in favor of the WTT as they took turns pounding Wippit into oblivion. Sylo treasures his friendship with Guud, so there was no doubt in my mind he would be the run to run in for the save, or possibly Chavez. I liked the match, good job.

XI.SEGMENT: “Fines, Punishment, and Money… Oh, My” feat. Vince Jacobs
a. Like: SVJ the dick
b. Dislike: Rune didn’t get involved
c. Comments: This was great on Lee’s part. SVJ tried to throw money at a problem and it backfired on him big time! I like how Lee is slowly, but surely, trying to take the reigns back.

XII.SEGMENT: “Boom, Headshot” feat. Chris Titan
a. Like: Fact jOlt didn’t want Titan
b. Dislike: The shot on Register
c. Comments: I liked this segment. The revelation that jOlt only wanted FBI was great. I liked Rune getting payback too, but was his shot on Register really a smart move? To my knowledge Register hasn’t done anything like Titan has in the last couple weeks. He’s mostly been on the receiving end of most of Titan’s attacks. For someone in charge of keeping the peace, Rune just confused the hell out of the fans. Especially when Lee is supposed to be a face. I want to see Lee’s reaction to this.

XIII.MATCH: “Reno Davis v. Khristain Keller”
a. Like: Derecho inclusion
b. Dislike: Match
c. Comments: This match just felt like a clusterfuck of a main event. K2 moves forward, but Reno Davis was just destroyed. It didn’t come off right to the fans. Too quick. No real work put in.
