ULTIMATE GOLD RUSH MATCH
In-character setup:
- Five rings: one in the center surrounded by four others, one at each corner. (Think of the rings in the shape of an 'X'.) The UNIFIED World Championship is suspended above the center ring.
- This match is the Main Event for CSWA ANNIVERSARY 2006.
- Wrestlers will be divided into the four rings on the periphery, while UNIFIED Champion Troy Windham waits in the center ring.
- The other three CSWA champions will be placed in the outer rings, one in each ring, leaving one ring with no champion in it.
- Battle royals will take place in each outer ring. The last man standing in each ring advances to the center ring against the UNIFIED Champion. The ring winner also wins the CSWA championship defended in that ring. In the ring with no champion, the ring winner wins the right to challenge for any CSWA title (including the UNIFIED) should he not win the UNIFIED Title upon advancing to the center ring battle royal.
- As each ring’s battle royal finishes, the ring winner automatically advances to the center ring to face the UNIFIED Champion in a battle royal. Once the final ring is down to the final four participants, wrestlers may only be eliminated by pinfall or submission. The final man standing in center ring, once all others are eliminated, is the UNIFIED World Champion.
- All characters are invited. Once you post a roleplay, you are automatically entered into the match and will be included in the writeup at ANNIVERSARY.
- Please fill out some basic character information at http://cswawrestling.com/goldrushjoin.shtml. This will help us write the match and represent your character more accurately. If you have recently submitted a join form, reply here and let me know and I'll move it over. If you have a CSWA wrestler and already have a profile, you do not need to fill this out. A full list of participants will be available on the CSWA Profiles page.
- This is a legitimate shot at one of the CSWA titles. By joining the match, you agree that if your character wins a championship, you will remain in the CSWA for at least one additional PRIMETIME. If your character wins the UNIFIED World Title, you agree your character will remain in the CSWA for up to three PRIMETIME/SHOWTIME cards.
- There will two “rounds” of roleplay. The first is a complete free-for-all. At the end of the first round, a VERSUS card will be posted that includes the “ring lottery” to determine which wrestlers will be in which outer ring. The CSWA champions’ ring assignments will not be announced until the beginning of the match. The second round of roleplay will begin following the ring lottery announcement.
- There will no roleplay ‘limit’, although we suggest a minimum of 3 roleplays in the first round and 2 in the second.
- Our intent is for the first round to run approximately 2 weeks, depending on how quickly folks get started, and for the second round to run around 10 days. This would put posting the card around August 27. In the meantime, a number of VERSUS events will be posted to highlight roleplay, hold the card lottery, etc.
- Roleplay, as always, will be judged by quality rather than simply quantity.
- There is no limit to the ‘type’ of roleplay (e.g. promo, storyline, etc.) that can be posted.
- It is suggested that your first roleplay serve as an introduction to your character, and that at least one first round roleplay be a promo against UNIFIED Champion Troy Windham or another competitor. This is true for current CSWA characters as well (specifically, the introduction part).
- To start the second round of roleplay, you will know who the participants in your ring are (excluding which champion, if any). Feel free to use this knowledge to roleplay against other characters or to shape your storyline.
- Angles within the match will be accepted once the second round of roleplay begins. As always, we reserve the right to modify angles, or not use them at all, based on how they fit into the story of the match. Angles may be counted as part of the overall ‘workrate’ (along with roleplay) to determine how far a character advances.
