(Fade in to a private gymnasium. Tom Adler comes out of the shower area wearing a terry wrap and has a towel draped over his shoulders. He walks toward the ring, grabs a remote off the table and clicks a button on it activating a video camera. He hops up on the apron and begins to speak while continuing to dry his hair)
You know... I've had a few people ask me if maybe I've spent too much time over the last week gabbing with Mayfield instead of preparing for my match with Apocalypse.
Well, Gabriel, if you happen to be one of the ones wondering, let me set your mind at ease. Storm's match with Mayfield is his to win and lose. He doesn't need me to fight his battles for him... and I don't intend to. Make no mistake, a minute or two spent talking about Eddie Mayfield means about 1400 spent preparing for you.
I don't take opponents lightly. Especially those I challenge myself. You and I wouldn't be having this match if I didn't think you were worthy of taking seriously. I know your history... I've seen what you can do in that ring. I'm not so niave is to go into it unprepared.
For the last year, I've wandered around this place claiming I was prepared to work for the accolades I was searching for... but never quite doing it.
Well, Gabriel, vacation time is over. It's time I start doing what's necessary to reclaim a legacy I should have never let go to begin with. In New Orleans, I'll start doing what's necessary with you.
