The Spider Murphy Experience vs. The Movement

The return of the Movement.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON Feb-05-03 AT 06:49 PM (EST)](Our scene opens in the ever busy Baltimore-Washington-International airport. There are several wrestling reporters standing near the exit of the concourse. They are awaiting the passengers who were aboard the US Air flight 471 with service from Baltimore to Pheonix to Los Angeles to Honolulu to Nogoya, Japan. As the first class passengers exit, three familiar faces exit with their carry-on bags in hand. Those three faces are former GLCW wrestlers the Movement. The young rookie phenom Shane Rockwell, the British sensation Rocky Wellington and the ever lovely and ever young brunette bombshell, Britni. One reporter jumps out of the group to try to get a moment with the Movement.)
HYPE STARBUCK: "Can I have just a minute of your time guys?"
SHANE ROCKWELL: "Sure, but make it quick man, we've got to get our bags downstairs."
(Rockwell stops and tells Rocky and Britni to go on without him.)
HYPE STARBUCK: "Last week Great Lakes Championship Wrestling announced it's lineup for the Cleveland Riptide card and they announced the Movement against the Spider Murphey Experience in an untelevised match. Is this you guys? And is this the same Movement we saw before in GLCW?"
SHANE ROCKWELL: "Let me start first by saying that this is NOT the same team that got their asses handed to them by Kraven and Flatliner. Let me continue by saying that this is NOT the same team who took our competition lightly. Malec brought us in to help strengthen his tag ranks. But I'll be the first one to be honest here, we just weren't ready for the position we were put into. We crashed and we crashed hard. The strains the road along with the unholy beating that we took at the hands of the Unholy Alliance sent us back to the drawing board. Now, I would love to say that we found some way to overcome to odds and return the favor to the Unholy Alliance, but this ain't some storybook pal. This is the real deal. Rocky, Britni and myself, we did what all self-respecting wrestlers looking for redemption do -- we went to Japan!"
HYPE STARBUCK: "So now that you've returned from Japan, Malec has signed you to a match in GLCW and with the Spider Murphy Experience. This is a rookie team that has hit the indy wrestling world by storm and now GLCW is bringing them into the fold. Spider Murphy and "Bollywood" Rahul Seth can very well give you guys a run for your money."
SHANE ROCKWELL: "Never heard of 'em. But that doesn't mean that the Movement ain't gonna go unprepared, ya know? It's kinda cliche to say never underestimate your enemy, but in this case we can't. Rocky and I have worked way to hard to climb back up this ladder and get another chance here in the states with GLCW. There is more at stake for us in Cleveland that there is for the Spider Murphy Experiece. These two guys have something to prove, but I really believe the fire burns deeper within Rocky and myself. We're two monsters just waiting to be unleashed on GLCW. I'd like to note that before it is all said and done with, the Unholy Alliance will find themselves in a position that they've rarely found themselves in, laying on their backs and hearing flesh slap the canvas for a three count. But I'm not here to foretell the future. We're back alright, and we're going to ride higher than we had in the past. The fun, the games, it's not over. But we're taking things a bit more serious this time. We can't afford not to. The Japan tours are all fine and good. Well, actually, to be quite honest, we weren't invited back. I guess it had to do with us ripping the Japanese fans. I mean, HONESTLY, who knew they'd take it so seriously?"
HYPE STARBUCK: "So it all starts again for the Movement in GLCW. We'll see you in Cleveland, best of luck to you and Rocky and I know I speak for every male in the country, we can't wait to see what Britni will be wearing to the ring in Cleveland."
SHANE ROCKWELL: "Let me just say it's gonna turn a lot of heads. But not only because of what she is gonna wear, but what the Movement has transformed into. Spider Murphy Experience, you'd better start spending these cold winter nights watching video tapes and putting your strategy together, 'cause in just a few days you're going to find out just what the Movement really means."

Scene opens in a boxing ring. Spider is shadowboxing, and not doing a very impressive job of it. "Bollywood" is sitting outside the ring reading the paper.
Spider: HEY! Movement! I had a movement yesterday... of the bowels! OHHHH YEAH!! Yeah, you think you're so cool because you've got a chick? Well I may not have any scantily clad hootchies, but I could put Sabu over there in a thong like THAT!
Bollywood: Eh?
Spider: YEAH! Hoohah, I'm the man, baby! And you're all scum, didja know that? You and your cheap 5-cent prostitute girlfriend and your classy wrestling tights! ARRRRGH! I Hate you and must fight you because I can! Aww yeah!! I'm gonna get in that ring, reach into your chest cavity, and re-wire your veins so that it all flows to your brain and you have a stroke and die! WHOO DADDY! YOU CAN'T STOP ME BECAUSE THE MAN IS BACK! YOU'LL SEE, BABY! WHEN WE GET IN THAT RING YOU'LL LEARN: YOU CAN'T SQUASH A SPIDERY! YEAHHH!![/u]
Bollywood: That is the absolute last time I let him take a Celexa before he cuts a promo.

(Open scene to a GLCW backdrop. From the left side of the screen enters Rocky Wellington and from the right, Britni and Shane Rockwell, altogether, the Movement.)
SHANE ROCKWELL: "So, the Spider Murphy Experience came out and uhh..."
(Rockwell looks to Wellington in dismay.)
ROCKY WELLINGTON: "I wawtched the whole bloody thing twenty bloody times Shane and I still haven't got a damned clue as to what they are talking about either."
SHANE ROCKWELL: "Okay, good. Hey, remember when we were fighting those dustbunnies, the High Plains Drifters?"
ROCKY WELLINGTON: (Puzzled look on his face) "Yeah?"
SHANE ROCKWELL: "Well doncha remember what we did? We dressed you up in a kids cowboy costume and had you ride the quarter horsey out front of K-Mart?"
(Wellington turns red from embarassment.)
SHANE ROCKWELL: "Priceless brother, priceless. A true mastercard moment!"
BRINTI: "Yeah Rocky, I loved it."
SHANE ROCKWELL: "So I was thinking Rocky, let's do something for these guys..."
BRITNI: "Shane, I've got an idea..."
(They all huddle around each other and converse. After a few moments Wellington disappears.)
SHANE ROCKWELL: "See what they have in the prop deparment Rocky! Okay camera dude, meet us back here in fifteen minutes."
(Camera fades out and then a blast of static and then a new set. This time we're in an alley, Britni is dressed up as a little catholic school girl and is walking down the alley. As she is walking a balding, heavyset man emerges from the shadows.)
HEAVYSET MAN: "HA! Come here you ..."(pull a 3x5 index card out of his pocket)"... oh come on, do I really have to say this? I mean really, you're only paying me $20!"
SHANE ROCKWELL: (From offscreen) "How about fourty?"
HEAVYSET MAN: "DEAL! Oh wait... let's start this over in, 3, 2, 1 ... HA! Come here you little piece of succulent meat! Come save me! Come show me the carnal ways of God!"
BRITNI: (Acts scared and suprised) "OH NO!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!"
("Spiderman" by the Ramones fades in and Shane Rockwell bursts onto the set wearing a Spiderman mask.)
SHANE ROCKWELL: "Halt there foul villan! I am Spiderman Murphy! And my trusty sidekick..." (Rockwell looks behind him... clears his voice) "I SAID ... my trusty sidekick, APU!"
(Rocky Wellington stumbles onto the set with a Halloween mask of Apu from the Simpsons.)
HEAVYWEIGHT MAN: "Ha, you two can't stop me!"
(The heavyset man grabs Britni, who according to the script gives no resistance.)
BRITNI: "Save me Spiderman Murph!"
SHANE ROCKWELL: "You heard the lady Apu, duty calls!"
(Rockwell and Wellington quickly take down the heavyset man and rescue Britni from his grasp. Rockwell pulls her into his arms.)
SHANE ROCKWELL: "Off to the Spider Cave!"
ROCKY WELLINGTON: "Bloody excuse me but I thought BATMAN had the cave."
SHANE ROCKWELL: "SHI...."
BRITNI: "...time to go!"
SHANE ROCKWELL: "Oh wait..." (Rockwell pulls off his mask) "Spider Murphy Experience, you day with us is coming soon. Soon you will face the Movement and then you're going to find out just what the Movement really means."
