CUE UP - "The Fletcher Memorial Home" by Pink Floyd. SFX: "...and they can appear to themselves everyday, on closed circuit TV. To make sure they're still real. It's the only connection they feel." The volume lowers somewhat, though the picture remains dark.

"They've been asking me for weeks to give a perspective on what all went down at Fish Fund, from the new PLR to the GXW invaders to the Intruders, and everything inbetween."

SFX: More Floyd. "Did they expect us to treat them with any respect?"

"You really want my perspective?"

"F##k you."

FADEIN - Eli Flair is sitting outside the 'O' on a bench, with the sun reflecting off his shades into the camera lens, messing with the contrast JUST slightly. He's dressed in a sleeveless "Perfect Circle" T-shirt, cutoff sweatpants, and black Converse low- tops. Despite the heat, he's barely sweating.

"What else can I say? Same old song and dance since the dawn of time. Plett thinks he can get respect by jumping up and down and saying 'Look at me! Look at me! I can have attitude too!' The Pro's and GUNS don't care about getting respect, they're just looking to stake a claim on the CSWA."

"That sounds familiar."

SFX: Even more Floyd. "They can polish their medals and sharpen their smiles, and amuse themselves, playing games for a while..."

"Then, of course, there's the latest edition of 'As the Windhams Turn.' Mark beats Aho for the belt and Troy rains on his parade. It's like we never left this party. The only difference these days is that Troy... understands all too well the repercussions of his actions, should he decide to take things as far as he can. But despite that, it's a FACT that he never quit. And Mark holding the World Title..."

"Some people might see it as dubious at best... but anyone who can actually lay claim to a victory over Evan Aho deserves to be called Champion, whether they are or not."

SFX: Still even more Floyd. "Boom Boom, Bang Bang, lie down you're dead..."[/i]

"Too much to sort out... and I don't have the energy or the patience to do so anymore. While Windham might be my ultimate goal, should he manage to hang onto that title... the Windhams, the Intruders, the GXW contingent, PLR... these things don't concern me."

"These things are beneath me. All these things are beneath me. The only thing I'm focused on is Sean Stevens and PRIMETIME right here in Orlando."

"How many go- rounds is this, Trip? I lost count. But regardless of the number, this is the first Eli Flair/Triple X match to grace CSWA television... and that makes all the difference. Plus, it's in your hometown... where the concentration of Triple X fans overflows the breaking point. Plus, it's the first CSWA Main Event match you've ever been a part of."

"All eyes on you, kid... good luck. You're gonna need it."

"I only say so because you seem a bit distracted. I know, Codine was our boy... your boy in more than one other place, and it's a distraction having him on the opposite side of the fence, so to speak."

"And I know that it's not fair to say you can't beat me... because you can beat me. You have beaten me. What I will say is that if you can't shake your hatred of Hornet, your confusion of where you and Codine stand, or your anger at yourself for taking your eyes off the prize at FISH FUND... if you're anything butthe focused powder keg that told SVJ he wasn't gonna take his s##t anymore... then you won't win."

"I know what you want out of this match, Trip... you want to show the CSWA what you can do when given the chance. You want to thumb your nose at everyone who calls you Flair Junior for no logical reason other than the general knowledge that we're friends. You want to introduce the CSWA to The Triple X Show and do a little of your own writing in the history books."

"I'll be honest with ya, kid... I want you to do all that and more."

"All I did was tell Merritt he should 'take a look at a tape of this kid with a lotta potential' - you did the rest on your own. Regardless of what anyone tells you to try and get a rise outta you... you did the rest on your own."

"You've got everything to gain and nothing to lose in this match, so relax, focus, and let 'em see it. And if you can get the nod, you can know, without a shadow of doubt in your mind... that you earned it. Because I don't intend on holding anything back, Trip."

"I know that's how you and I both like it."

"This will be like every other match you and I have ever had, Trip... the physical stakes will be high. The physical price will potentially be higher. And the fans will get their money's worth. The only difference is that the ending is far... far from decided."

"But when the ending comes, and we get yet another standing ovation... there's only one thing I know for sure."

Eli takes off his glasses and drops them at his side.

"First round's on me."

FADE

SFX: One more Floyd. "...Is everyone in? Are you having a nice time? Now the final solution can be applied..."
