Eventually, Kane and Bryan had immense hatred for each other, and both were generally viewed as heels. Over time, their dynamic changed towards one another. Over the coming months, they eventually started bonding (although their bond was as simple as absurd anger issues), though it wasn't a sudden "we hate each other"/"we are best buds" thing. They still had friction. But, over the months, the friction turned into a bond. You look at them now, and they're a bona fide face team who has each other's backs, even though their attitudes still feature many of the previous months' anger and general aggression.
They evolved from antagonists who would never get along, to The Tag Team Champions who still kind of hate everyone but who have each others' backs and the crowd gets behind.
Not over time. In fact, the relationship between Daniel Bryan and Kane is textbook storyline teasing... with the Transformative moment being the hug.
Daniel Bryan and Kane initially fought each other for AJ's attention. They fought and hated each other. Daniel Bryan was sent for a psychiatric examination. Kane is used to such examinations. They meet each other and work each other during segments.... that's both wrestlers acting uncharacteristically and a tease is being presented.
Will they co-exist or will they blow up? That moment was answered with the great Hug that ran across the world. After that hug, Kane and Bryan... became a team. At that point, it became official. The rest (for example, their names being decided by the WWE Universe to be Team hell No) is supplementary. You can say that they still don't like each other and you would be right, but for everyone watching, they're an established team now. As opposed to two guys tagging with each other.
EDIT: Hey, I got Brunk's word that the avatar title was LIFETIME! Bad Motherf***er for life! That was the deal!
