CAMERA IS FOCUSED ABOVE A BUILDING ON AN OLD SIGN, 'MICKS GYM', FOOTSTEPS CAN BE HEARD, CAMERA MOVES TO SEE PULSAR ARRIVING AFTER AN EARLY MORNING RUN. PULSAR MOVES TOWARDS THE CAMERA, SWEAT POURING OF HIS FORHEAD AND FACE.

PULSAR: As a young bloke back home I can remember my father always saying 'dont look a gifthorse in the mouth', a saying which I always found to be true and also made me appreciate the small amount of luck and fortune which has come my way over the years and that have brought me to this industry. (PAUSES AND CONTEMPLATES FOR A MOMENT) This is why I cant help to feel a bit confused about my upcoming match at Combat against a fellow Australian Derek Graham. You see, I am aware of what is at stake and that their are many chances to get my hand on the precious NWL gold, I'm also aware that this will be an event that will go down as legend, being the first full outing for a company that will no doubt become the new standard for the wrestling industry, something I am very honoured to be a part of.....BUT (TONE IN PULSARS VOICE BECOMES MORE INTENSE) I AM HERE FOR ONE THING, AND ONE THING ONLY, THE NWL CHAMPIONSHIP GOLD. As important and valuable as the other straps are, my sights are set on the ultimate prize.

PULSAR NOW TURNS FROM THE CAMERA, PACES FOR A MOMENT AND TURNS BACK TO THE CAMERA.

PULSAR: Now it would seem that the first step would be the hardest and highest, 7 foot high to be exact. As I mentioned before, another combatant from back home, Derek Graham. Ive heard a few stories abou this guy, sounds like he has a few tales to tell about being a "Hardcore Legend", about being in a few good ol' pit fights, hell we might be able to compare a few war wounds. Now unfortunately for big Derek, being in this business means you cant just step in the ring and expect to just beat the s### out of everyone, you have be smart as well as strong, you have to use that thing that rattles inside your head when you walk. And even more importantly you HAVE TO USE THIS (HITS HIMSELF ON HIS CHEST, HEART), YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO GET INTO THE RING WITH PEOPLE ALMOST A FOOT TALLER THAN YOU, WITH NO FEAR OR CARE ABOUT YOUR BODY, ALL FOR A CHUNK OF GOLD.
(VOICE NOW LOW AND MENACINGLY STEADY, TALKING THROUGH HS TEETH) Now how far are you willing to go?........ Cue the DAMN excitement

You aint HARDCORE SUCKA!

Fade In.....

The scene cuts to the bayou on the outer edges of Sidney Australia to action of pit fighting as two men are fighting to the death in a circle made of fire blazing in the hot sun. A bunch of aborigines and tribal people surround these two men celebrating for someone to fall to the death.

One opponent stands 7 Feet and weighs about 300 pounds. and is well known as a famous bouncer from a bar in the city of Sidney. His opponent is a man who is actually from Detroit Michigan but raised in Sidney Australia and is a black African American with an Australian accent. He too stands 7 Feet tall and weighs in about 275 pounds. He is wearing black leather pants with no shirt. He stands in his bare feet and has on fingerless biker gloves.

He’s hardcore and by his standards he proclaims himself The Hardcore Legend Derek Graham! He bear hugs this huge opponent across a high flame and nearly burns the guy to pieces. He then gives him a modified Belly To Belly Slam to the ground and winds him as he nearly passes out gasping for air! Graham then goes for his throat only tosses him out of the pit into the cheering fans. Graham raises his arms to his respectful fans as they drag his unconscious opponent away. He stares into the camera as it zooms in and captures the ambition and determination in the eyes of Derek Graham!

Graham - ‘WHO IS HARDCORE!!!!’ Is this carcass HARDCORE?

( As Graham speaks he points to his opponent ) He’s a SUCKA MATE! I shall take on anyone who dares to call themselves Hardcore! Or even a legend! I hate those who claim they are legendary! I tread on those who think they can step up to the plate and become a real man!

( Graham looks upon his bloody fists as his opponents blood is splattered across his knuckles )

Guess who’s coming to town!? The one the only Hardcore Legend Derek Graham is coming to the NWL Sucka Mate!!! This Hardcore Legend shall take this NWL tournament by storm! I shall take what is rightfully mine! That is the NWL World Heavyweight Title! Yeah I got many great opponents ahead of me to tackle on but one thing separates Graham from the rest of those bloody Americans! Derek Graham is one mean Sucka from the bayou raised by a bunch of tribal warriors who taught me how to survive and fight!

And my lucky opponent so happens to be my first victim at NWL Combat! He becomes the first Sucka! So welcome to the jungle Pulsar! Your about to enter the first lesson into becoming a real man! Your going to learn what it means to survive in the ring! I’m going to put a mud print on your face Sucka Mate! Your going to enter the world of Hardcore!



( Graham leans over to his unconscious opponent and lifts his bloody face to the camera. He then grabs a huge can of fosters beer and cracks it open and chugs down a big gulp of it )

Take a good look... this goes for all of my opponents. You can be a 8ft giant who weighs over 300 pounds. You can be a 5ft nothing cruiser weight who’s got more skills than my feet on a dance floor. You can call yourself hardcore, you can call yourself a legend. But when you enter the ring with me, your going to face a Hardcore Legend! Your going to be up against Derek Graham! So you can take your Pulsars... your Maelstroms... Your Hackers and anyone who wants to tangle with this mean sucka!

Give me anyone you want, I dare you, heck I want you all to taste what Hardcore is really about. When I take that strap and take it home, don’t be begging for forgiveness. You’ll be begging for mercy! SUCKA MATE!!!

( Graham then throws his bloody opponent back down, grabs his fosters and hops into his 88 black sport Monte Carlo and take off like a bat out of hell!!! )

Apology

FADE IN: PULSAR IS SITTING IN CASUAL CLOTHES ON A STOOL IN WHAT APPEARS TO BE A NWL STUDIO, LIGHT SHINING ON HIM.

PULSAR: I requested this small amount of time of NWL management to offer a quick apology to the fans and maybe just people in general. On behalf of all Australians I say sorry for this clown, Derek Graham who parading him self out here using his upbringing as some sort of excuse for acting like a complete dickhead. This does not represent the majority of Australians, by majority I mean the rest of, who I hear are also embarrassed by this so-called "hardcore legend". This pit fighting that he speaks is now only practiced by oafs and morons who serve no purpose in any society.

CAMERA ZOOMS IN

PULSAR: Graham ...(PAUSES AND THINKS).. your dumb, youve pissed me off and your in my way of the biggest prize in the business, you know what they say.......three strikes and your out. Cue the excitement.
