BattleBRAWL II: When Forces Collide.

Appearing is a familiar scene to wrestling fans the world over: the storied arena of Madison Square Garden. The rafters are lined with team banners and retired jerseys. Presently there is no court or ice in the center of the seats. Instead, there is the bare concrete, covered with large, thin, black pads.

The vibration of echoing footsteps alerts the presence of a figure emerging from one of the floor level entrances to the arena. The lights embrace Larry Tact as he steps from the dimmed path leading to the back halls of MSG. Decked out in black leather pants, boots, and a sleeveless, royal blue shirt, he stops just inside the arena, in the aisle leading to where the action usually takes place for athletes around the nation.

LARRY TACT: "High above where I stand, there are a plethora of memories... memories rich in action, excitement, and emotion. They are the banners, they are the symbols of what the best athletes strive for, each and everyday of their lives. Within each cloth there is a story; one of people who came together and worked hard... no... who worked above and beyond the standard of their respective sport. Each and everytime they strived for excellence, so they could reign supreme in their domains. Each banner represents their pinnacle achievement, the symbol of their greatness, and a story that will remain enshrined forever in history."

He looks up and begins walking through the aisle, towards the middle of the arena.

"And then there are the jerseys. The mark of a legend. The imprint left by someone who has been so influential, and completely exceptional at what they were asked to do, there will never be another like them again. And so their numbers are retired, left to be uniquely remembered."

Coming to the end of the aisle, his feet fall just short of the padded concrete. And he stands... not saying a word... his gaze falling to the padded concrete before him. Finally, taking a deep breath, the words ride off his exhale.

"And now it's my turn."

He takes a step with each foot, setting them on the padded concrete, then stops once more. The shot set to his side, he stands there, examining the surface, testing the padding, almost as if living in another moment... maybe past, maybe future.

"One year ago, I made my return to New Era of Wrestling with a clear objective: returning to the top. And I didn't want there to be any question about it when I reclaimed that spot at the top of the mountain. Hence, the Masked Man of NEW made his presence known. I also didn't want there to be any question of what my aim was, and so I went straight to the head, the World Heavyweight Champion. However many questions there may have been about my identity... there were no questions about my intentions, because I made no effort to mask them. I made sure it was clear: if I had to destroy the man at the top, and completely wipe him from New ERA in order to retake my place... I would do just that.

"As it turned out, I didn't need to carry the full burden of that task. And needless to say, I accomplished part of what I wanted, as there is no longer a need for a Masked Man. That served its purpose. However, I have yet to finish my climb. It seems the mountain is trying to shake me off... turning itself into a big, ballooning obstacle in my way... and that balloon-like obstacle is named... Juliet Marceau."

The shot slowly pans around to his other side as Tact pauses, crossing his arms and resting his chin on a hand in thought, then chuckles and sighs a bit.

"Yes, well... it hasn't been all fun and games, of course. In fact, it's now gotten downright disruptive. BattleBRAWL II was to be the place I would bust through any resistance, and stake my claim to the World Championship number one contendership. New York City... Madison Square Garden... a place where I grew up watching legends forge legacies, history be made, and Championships won... this was where I was supposed to advance to the fight for the highest plateau. The battle for the top of the mountain.

"This was to be the site where Larry Tact began carving the next chapter of his legacy.

"But you just wouldn't have that, would you Juliet? So you took me out of the BattleBRAWL Rumble equation. At first, I'll admit, it stung. I didn't think you had the testicles to do such a thing... but it seems you do indeed have a set, Juliet. And I thought you may have actually gotten one on me. But then I looked at the match... at what you'd given me...

And I realized, I understood. The next chapter of my legacy is about to be carved."

The corners of his mouth curve into a grin, and his head peeks upward toward the rafters.

"Because heading into BattleBRAWL, there is only ONE other person in NEW who has been on anything similar of a run as myself. An you can go right on down the list. Jonathan Marx... Phantom Republican... MWG... Mr. Entertainment... they've beat on each other and all had their ups and downs these past few months. John Doe and Trevor Cane have tried, and had some success, at toppling him... but here, now, at BattleBRAWL, he's still got what they were fighting over.

"He's still the PCX Champion.

"He is still Chaos lurking."

The shot pans to front-and-center, his head turns back down to be level, and the grin broadens into a smile.

"It's been a while, hasn't it, Chaos? In fact, there's a bit of irony here, isn't there? Last time, I was the corporate tool for destruction, and you were the rebel. I was the Champion in the match, now you are. Not to delve too far back, as that was a long time ago. But maybe you'll appreciate the situation. In fact, I'm sure you'll appreciate this part of it... last time, things were somewhat on my terms. This time, they're all yours.

The smile fades a bit, but a smug look still remains, though his tone sharpens.

"But don't take these words lightly, Chaos. I'm not just shooting the s*** with you here, of course. You should know that. You should also know, while times may have changed, and situations may have changed... my view of you remains starkly consistent.

"And you'd better milk that BattleBRAWL stipulation for all it's worth. You had better push your advantage to the limit LIKE NEVER BEFORE! Because Chaos, if there's one thing I have at my advantage, it's that BattleBRAWL... Madison Square Garden... New York City...

"...Is HOME TURF for Larry Tact!"

His olive eyes eyes gleam with anticipation. He claps his hands together.

"This isn't the desert. Hell, this isn't even the West coast! And if you don't contain this match, in some way... HOWEVER you can, Chaos... I can pretty much guarantee that I'll take your *** places these PCX matches have NEVER gone before! I mean, there's the Paramount Theater just down the corridor! Penn Station just below! The main branch of the N-Y-C U-S-P-S just across the street! I could give a friggin' BIG APPLE TOUR to the PCX style!

The broad smile flickers again, for just another moment, before being engulfed by an icy gaze.

"Of course, the imagery might be lost on you. Rest assured, the only thing you need grasp is this, Chaos, so listen real close. If you don't take full advantage of what's been given to you... you're going to face a kind of opponent you've failed to have a real taste of during this PCX run of yours.

"Someone the caliber of a New ERA of Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion."

Glancing at the mats, he reaches down and grabs two of them, one in each hand, ripping them from the floor and displaying them like trophies.

"And s*** like this just won't do a thing."

He turns, leaving the pads splayed next to the exposed concrete. As he walks back up the aisle, his raised voice lingers through the soon-to-be-filled, but currently empty, space of the arena.

"Years have passed, and the time is right again. The situation is ripe. We're on a collision course, in more ways than one, and let's face it... there's no telling what will give when the forces of Chaos... and Tact... clash. The only thing I'm certain of...

He stops at the path where he came from and turns, just enough to stare back down the aisle.

"...Is that the next chapter of Larry Tact's legacy... MY LEGACY... is about to be carved."

He faces forward again and disappears into the darkness. Then the shot suddenly, rapidly zooms in towards the unseen hallway beyond the arena, until the entire scene is engulfed by darkness.

Words then appear on screen, each in succession of the other before, like a wave, the darkness consumes them one by one. The message reads...

Of Time & Tables

(The camera opens on 4 Pennsylvania Plaza a black town car stops at the curb and the door slowly opens. The door opens and inch by inch his head slowly towers above the roof. His voice can be heard talking on a cell phone and the conversation is heated and his voiced is raised. He speaks harshly for a few moments angrily trading barbs as the exchange continues. He spies the cameraman and lowers his head, shaking it in disappointment. He closes out with a few more harsh words and just closes the phone in frustration.

He adjusts the collar of his jacket as the wind picks up on the street and he stops and looks up at the giant marquee the animated graphic reads NEW ERA: Presents Battle Brawl. Sept. Chaos9th 2006. The perturbed look leaves his face and a wide smile appears as he looks and faces the camera)

Chaos: Well Hello Larry. It has been along time hasn’t it? Time is a funny thing. Not quite as humorous as life can be sometimes, but it does have a way of turning the tables. It’s true we’ve meet before. I’ve beaten you and you’ve beaten me. Yet one thing hasn’t changed Larry…you still want to be the center of attention. You still want to be the man. You want to be the NEW ERA…WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!!

---{{{He pauses and takes a deep breath of the cool night air. He exhales and watches the fog settle in the air and he chuckles out loud}}}---

Chaos: Ah, but the past is just that isn’t it Larry? None of that really matters and I’m going to ignore anything that has happened between us before. AND no, not because I might not like the outcome of some of our previous matches, but because I’m not the same man I used to be.

---{{{His cell phone rings again, he takes it out and checks the caller id. He shakes his head as he did in their previous conversation and lets it go to voice mail. He takes one last look at the green neon hue outside of MSG and heads for the front door as the camera follows. The door closes behind him and as he heads towards the arena the camera pans around the front and follows his footsteps}}}---

Chaos: You see Larry I was a lot like you. I wanted to be THE MAN wherever I went. I had an ego to feed and I wanted nothing…NOTHING more then to be a WORLD CHAMPION and that’s what you want. That’s what the mask was for, that’s what the games were all about. You want to be under the spotlight.

---{{{He shakes his head and look down sadly at the camera}}}---

Chaos: Well let me ask you this Larry….were did that get you? Were is your title shot? Were is your spotlight? Were is your Legacy Larry? Here it is, one of the biggest nights in New Era and your facing me…in a non-title match while your getting dicked around by a woman.

---{{{He laughs aloud and it echoes on the cement walls of the empty arena}}}---

Chaos: I’m sorry Larry, but I love the irony of it all. You see for all the work you went through…were did it get you? Nowhere, but in one of the most dangerous places you’ve ever spent in your wrestling career. You’re getting in the ring a Battle Brawl with NOTHING on the line, nothing but your health and the ability you'll still even be in the chase for a World Title when this is all said and done. You see Larry I got to tell you a quick story.

---{{{He stops as he reaches the top step of the inner arena. He looks down at the massive field of concert and blue mats. He looks up at the banners and jerseys. He turns back to the camera}}}---

Chaos: Larry you put amazing emphasis on the greatness of being a WORLD CHAMPION. It’s your dream, it’s your desire…it’s your LEGACY!!! Is that right? Well I used to feel that way and then when the PCX Tournament started I realized something that I’m not sure you have yet. The wrestling world is FULL of World Champions. Every Fed, every country, hell nearly ever major city even a few bingo halls has a man that calls himself World Champion. He is one among the many. Yet who really is the better man, what seperates them from another besides the three or four letters in front of the deignation World Champion? Aren't they really all just the same?

(He pauses for a moment in thought and clears his throat)

Chaos: Yet when I had the chance to win the PCX Title it finally came to…there is only ONE of them. There’s only one of ME.

---{{{He turns and looks smugly at the camera.}}}---

Chaos: While your running through hoops and getting jerked around Larry. I’ve got MY Title. I’ve got the PCX Title and I’ve got my legacy. I hold a belt that, and month after month it is put on the line under the most brutal of circumstances. It’s not about being the best wrestler as you strive to be Larry. My title is a TRUE test of pain and suffering. Being the best wrestler won’t help you out when we meet his time Larry and neither will your hometown advantage. No this goes way beyond the world title and when the bell rings...forget Battle Brawl...the spotlight is going to be right on the two of us

---{{{He raises both arms to embrace the surroundings of the arena}}}---

Chaos: For you see Larry while you might have the whole town behind you, I’ve got one thing over you.

---{{{He points to the center of the arena will the ring will be set-up}}}---

Chaos: I’ll have home field advantage right there Larry. Because the one thing your are right about, brutally right about is I have the stipulations in my corner.

---{{{A smiles a smug look taking over his face}}}---

Chaos: See Larry when it came to playing politics with the big boys and the higher ups in New Era. Well I went head-to-head and came out on top. I got my contract, my title shot and I got it under the rules that I wanted. When it came to a power play Larry…I won that night and it’s still paying off dividends.

---{{{He laughs loudly}}}---

Chaos: Much to your disadvantage. Yet as you said Larry….THIS IS NEW YORK!!! THIS IS PAY PER VIEW!!! THIS IS MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!!!! GOD DAMN HALLOWED GROUND!!!! I’VE GOT TO TURN IT UP A NOTCH!!!

---{{{An evil look creases his lips and his eyes narrow}}}---

Chaos: And that's exactly what I'm going to do Larry. I'm going to turn it up a notch. Hell that angry man on the phone earlier. That's Laroque. He read the contract...he saw the stipulations and when it came down to signing time. Well I think...I think he's just a little nervous. I'm not sure if he worried about or lawsuit, insurance coverage or maybe even your well being, but the man does have issues. That's why I'm here and the only reason I'm here tonight. I got justification to be done.

---{{{He shrugs his shoulders and smiles}}}---

Chaos: But don't you worry Larry. You'll find out in time. Yes time may have turned the tables Larry, but it still holds one little mystery in it for you. That's just what will be the stipulations for our match. Well I'm not going to tell you. You want me to press my advantage...well I will, but I will give you a warning Larry.

---{{{He looks up at the ceiling t the banners and the jerseys and waves his arms}}}---

Chaos: Forget all about what those great men have done Larry. You see they excelled at a TEAM sport and when it comes to New Era your not much of a team player.
No you want individual gold and glory Larry. I find it even more amusing that now both of them come up my expense and because of my virtue.

---{{{He extends his hand and opens the palm up}}}---

Chaos: I got your Legacy right here Larry. These hands will hold it and these hands even helped create it. Don’t think so?....well think on that. Just remember when that bell rings I'll carve out a legacy for you Larry, but it won't be of glory

---{{{He closes the palm into a crushing fist}}}---

Chaos: It will be of BLOOD...of PAIN...of SARIFICE....AND I'll carve it out of your very own flesh. Just wait in see, because it's going to be YOUR personal hell of a night.

---{{{From off in the distance a voice can be heard}}}---

Voice: THERE YOU ARE!!!

---{{{Chaos turns back to the camera}}}---

Chaos: Got to go Larry, it's time to deal with the bigwigs. I look forward to our match.
As for you...well you just sit back and think about it for a little while longer

---{{{He raises his hand in a friendly hello, but it's not long before voices are raised again and heated words are exchanged}}}---

---{{{TO BE CONTINUED}}}---

Lawyers, guns and money

(The camera opens back as words are still being exchanged. Chaos stands towering over New Era President Marcus LaRoque who is dressed in his usual fine suit. Chaos looks unimpressed as LaRoque continues to read him a riot act. The camera moves in closer and their conversation can be heard)

LaRoque: ARE YOU KIDIDNG ME?

(Chaos stands his ground and just smiles)

Chaos: Look LaRoque, when I pulled this deal on you the contract was quite clear. IF I won the title then I could pick the stipulations of my title defenses.

(He sarcasticly tries pats him on the shoulder, but LaRoque pulls away)

LaRoque: You think this is funny don't you. I've spent all day on the phone. I've had lawyers from MSG call me. I've had lawyers from New Era call me. Not too mention that the state athletic commissioner nearly chocked on his coffee this morning when I told him what you had planned.

(Chaos grins and chuckles loudly)

Chaos: Well that's why you get paid the big bucks Marcus. You get to deal with all the paperwork. Yet did you stop to think that you’re not the only one taking a risk. After all I'm the guy that is actually going to get in the ring.

LaRoque: True , but even if the athletic commission allows it, I highly doubt the insurance company will.

(Chaos shakes his head and shrugs his shoulders)

Chaos: Look all I know is you gave me this deal...and I'll be damned if I'm not going to use it too my full advantage. I've got all the equipment you’re going to need and it's coming here tomorrow. All I need is crew put it up and a signature to make it official.

(LaRoque smiles and folds his arms)

LaRoque: And what if I don't give you that signature?

(Chaos smiles and folds his arms too)

Chaos: I said I need a signature. It's in the contract. I need a New Era Official to sign off on the match and if you don’t want to do it. Well I don't care.

(Chaos reaches into his pocket and pulls out a cell phone)

Chaos: Then I'll call Marceau. She's has a distaste for Larry Tact that well I don’t understand or do I care too. I'll get her to sign. That makes this argument a waste of my time. Now is this conversation over?

(LaRoque holds his ground and shakes his head seemingly frustrated)

LaRoque: Look I'm not going to make any promises. No wrestling promotion in the world has put on a match quite like this before. Certainly not on this scale You’re really pushing limits here. I'll get on the phone tomorrow and I'll try to get this all worked out.

(Chaos leans back and looks proud of himself, but LaRoque points a finger at him)

LaRoque: Just remember this Chaos. You might have that contract in your hand and it's a golden ticket for you right now, but I still run this league and I'm still your boss. Which means...

(Chaos stops his train of thought by putting his hand on his shoulder)

Chaos: What you’re going to fire me?

(LaRoque brushes it away)

LaRoque: No, but I can fine you and I can suspend you. If....and I MEAN IF....if I get permission to pull off this crazy farm you call a match there is one condition I can call upon you.

(Chaos cocks his head and looks puzzled)

Chaos: and what is that?

LaRoque: Simple....I can still fine you. IF this match takes place I hold you PERSONALLY Responsible. You get us sued....it comes out of your pocket. You get us barred from this arena....your getting suspended....WITHOUT PAY!!!! You injure a fan at ringside....IT'S ON YOUR HEAD!!! YOU GOT THAT???

(Chaos smiles and looks satisfied)

Chaos: Yeah boss I got that. You just sign the contract , then dot the I's and cross the T's...

(He looks into the camera, his voice sarcastic)

Chaos: I'll take the responsibility of putting Larry Tact through hell on my shoulders and I'll enjoy ever moment of the burden.

(Chaos he looks back down on LaRoque)

Chaos: Now are we done here?

LaRoque: I think we've come to an understanding.

Chaos: Good...now I got to meet a couple of old friends at CBGB's. You have a good night.

(Chaos pats LaRoque on the shoulder, smiles and walks away. LaRoque shakes his head in frustration as he watches him leave)

Contemplation. Consideration. Credibility.

The scene opens on a dead end alley, a twilight sky blasting colors in the background. There is a ten foot brick wall, matching the gloomy color and tint of the alley, which is shaded from the explosive mix of colors above by the tall buildings enclosing it. Leaning against the wall is the dimmed figure of Larry Tact. The closest illumination perhaps comes from a street lamp nearer the main road, and so the pine green t-shirt and stonewashed blue jeans don't exactly make him stand out. His shoulder length blonde hair, on the other hand, gives some guidance for where to focus on, as his face is transfixed on what is ahead of him, arms crossed over his chest.

LARRY TACT: "Chaos, after watching your first response, I did sit back and consider what exactly is at stake here... between us... in this BattleBRAWL match. I thought about my words, too; about the venue, the atmosphere of a PCX match, the stipulation in your hands; I contemplated what this match really meant for me. I gave it all consideration and when I was done, Chaos... I saw the second appearance you made. And I thought a little more after that. And I can tell you, Chaos... I can assure you... I really do believe in my conclusions. I have no doubts or regrets about what I'm both about to engage in. I can assure you, there is not an ounce of me that doesn't look at this match with the desire... and embracing... of being a participant."

Pausing, he uncrosses his arms and hooks his thumbs in either side jean pocket.

"You see, Chaos, I have a mission that needs accomplishing. Upon my return and subsequent stay in New ERA, I have done what I always set out to do: accomplish goals I set for myself. A lot of people, a majority, would believe becoming the Champion is what needs to be the overriding goal of anyone who sets foot in a wrestling ring. And I won't deny that I have aspirations to be World Heavyweight Champion..."

"That shouldn't be a mystery to anyone, after the past eighteen months."

Chuckles.

"But what can be a mystery to many, and what I have remembered not to forget, Chaos... is that the belt does not... DOES NOT... make the Champion. The Champion makes that belt worth having. Worth chasing. He, or she, who holds the title must give it... credibility."

"And when I become the NEW World Heavyweight Champion again, you can damn sure know there will be PLENTY to chase."

"But you might be wondering where I'm going with this, as there is no title on the line. Well Chaos, I've been talking a bunch about myself here, and not all that much about you. This match, the way it came about, was not really about you though, was it? It was about me. It still is. This is about Larry Tact paving a legacy, and Juliet Marceau not liking it."

"So you were dragged into this. She thought up this GREAT idea of giving you a match you could maybe control at BattleBRAWL II... having you try to turn the intimidation around on me with the one variable in her control. She has placed her faith in the PCX style now, embodied in you, Chaos."

"But there's just one problem with that..."

Even in the dim light, the corners of his lips can still be seen turning upward.

"You've heard me say that I've given thought about how this match can affect me... how it will begin the writing of the next chapter in my legacy. There is no doubt this match is important to me. What I failed to mention before, though, was that I gave more thought to this than just how it concerns me. I'll spare you the cliche, but I believe in the importance of knowing your opposition. And for a match of this circumstance, under these conditions, and with all the spotlight aimed on me, well..."

"I didn't want you to forget, Chaos... what's on the line, here, for you."

And a grin forming on his face.

"Which brings us full circle, back to contemplation, consideration, and... credibility. It's true, I would be better off winning this match. You can bet your last dollar and penny that I'll be holding nothing back, as is my custom with every time I set foot inside the squared circle. But among all the facts I've stated, there is one you need to embrace, Chaos. Whether I win or lose this match, it will not stop me from paving my legacy. That is something ongoing, ever-present, and beyond wins and losses."

"It is beyond matches alone, and you would have to literally kill me to stop that. Juliet Marceau has yet to comprehend that fact. Fortunately for you... it isn't something you really need concern yourself with. As I said before, what you should be concerned with, in all honesty, is what is on the line in this match... for you."

Pausing again, he nods and leans back, propping a leg up against the brick wall.

"This match has two stories to be told. On paper, this is a match I have been ordered into by Juliet Marceau. It is a non-title match under PCX rules where you, the PCX Champion, will choose the stipulation. Look deeper, however... if, as you said, someone gives it thought... there is a second story."

"What you have here, Chaos, is your first real chance for your cause. You believe the PCX Championship is one of a kind. Well... perhaps it is. At least for now, on this circuit, there is a lack of titles under such a unique domain. Regardless, there's no question that title holds little established credibility as of yet. After all, who has really challenged you since the inception of the title? Take a look..."

"Throughout the tournament, you asserted your dominance, which was all well and good for you, but gave little to the title. I'll give Dallas Carter credit, he put everything on the line against you, and you did what you had to do. That gave things a bit of a jump. But since then... who? Trevor Cane? John Doe? I'm not saying they don't have fire in them, but they're inconsistent. They also lack the proven ability to perform at the proper level. In short... unique as the PCX Championship may be, you have not defeated anyone to give the title significant credibility."

He shrugs.

"It's a common problem. I would have faced the same obstacle during NEWs inception, and my World Championship reign. But if there's one thing LaRoque and Marceau know how to do, it's fill their pool with fish of all sizes. They brought in wrestlers who work their ***es off, and brought their prime efforts."

"Now, Chaos, you have a chance to show everyone in New ERA that the PCX Championship deserves to have that kind of credibility. It isn't immediate. I'm not telling you that defeating me will bring the PCX up to the level of the World Heavyweight Championship. Nothing is that easy. But like my legacy, which has been contructed from crucial matches and touchstone points for years... it is a step. Another step in the right direction. But to do that, to take that type of step, you must be willing to put everything on the line."

"So, then, don't forget the flip side of it, either. If you pledge yourself to this match, and push your advantage to the limit, and make a push to take that next step, then you also accept the consequences. If you lose this match, Chaos... then you take the plunge along with that title. You won't lose the title, no, but you'll lose what you have worked for to this point."

"Whether Marceau realizes it or not, she has created more than she bargained for with this match. She has unknowingly dedicated more than just another match, and another hitman, to try and halt the legacy of Larry Tact. She has brought a match to New ERA that truly is worthy of the BattleBRAWL history."

"Because I will not be intimidated by this PCX match. I am above that, and I thought you would realize as much, Chaos. But you would rather pump yourself up with thoughts of the stipulation, and how grand and grotesque you can make it. You pride yourself on being able to battle through red tape and claim a moral victory over the powers-that-be. And you relish in having that clause of dictating the rules."

"Well, let me tie up one more loose end for you, Chaos. I wore a mask not for why you said: to have the spotlight cast upon me. That would have happened, regardless. I donned the mask for the reason I stated: because when I took down the World Heavyweight Champion, there would be no doubt I deserved a place at the top. And I did what needed doing. Yet, despite that, I am not demanding anything. I have not complained as you have, and sought out the advantage you want and have. I don't battle to gain advantages, because I don't need them to succeed. I've conquered the mountain without them, and I'll do it again."

Popping his thumbs out of jean pockets, he crosses his arms over his chest once more.

"And, knowing that, I can build my legacy further before reclaiming the World Title. Yes, it will be painful, and there will be blood. It won't be easy."

"I've accepted that long ago."

" There's a reason I've told you to take your precious advantage, that stipulation you make such a deal of, and push it. Push it like it means EVERYTHING for you."

"Because you'll need to put everything at stake if you want a shot at stopping me, and gaining that credibility, Chaos."

"Deny it if you want, but wouldn't someone truly intimidated be the one to deny what's plainly clear..."

Uncrossing his arms, he kicks off the wall and gives a quick smirk.

"When you think about it."

And he walks off, the shot left capturing the contrast of bright, explosive sky colors with the darker, tangible concrete and buildings below. Fade out.

Words then appear on screen, each in succession of the other before, like a wave, the darkness consumes them one by one. The message reads...

Think Again???

(BEEP! BEEP! echoes off the cement walls on the loading area behind Madison Square Garden. The massive eighteen wheeler slowly backs into position and comes to a stop. The air brakes let loose and a cloud of street dust fills the air. The engine comes to a halt and the camera pans around back. The smiling face of Chaos can be seen has he has been eagerly awaiting this delivery. He rubs his hands together in anticipation as the track door rolls up from floor to roof. As the driver comes around to meet him Chaos climbs in the back of the truck and opens one of the long cardboard boxes stacked nearly six-feet high. A wide smile crosses his face as he looks inspects his cargo. He finally looks at the camera, steps forward and sits down on the truck's floor his legs hanging over the edge.)

Chaos: Well Larry the day is coming closer. It won't be long now before the two of us are standing face-to-face in the ring, Just imagine that crowd roaring and standing on their feet in anticipation and let's not forget the sheer look of marvel at what I have in store for you. Not just you Larry, but the WHOLE wrestling world. You see I did a lot of thinking when LaRoque gave me the chance to pick the stipulations. I knew that I could really make this title standout, but so far I don’t think I’ve done a good enough job.

---{{{He pauses for a moment in thought before exhaling a loud sigh}}}---

Chaos: See Larry you and me are in two different places. I tried telling you there is a major difference between MY PCX Title and what you so desperately want.

---{{{Again he pauses holding a finger up to the camera}}}---

Chaos: I'm sorry Larry, what you desperatly need. You need a World Title Larry, you want, you desire...hell I bet you eat, drink and gasp every bit of air hoping it will lead you too a Big Gold Belt. To be a World Champion...to call yourself the best. That's what's you want. You call it your Legacy and if that's what you truly feel you need then good luck with that Larry. Yet I said before you'll be one of many. Sure your career, your highs and lows will help define and shape that belt...IF you meet your goal, but Larry. That's not what this match is about.

---{{{He pauses for a moment and steps down as to men climb in the back and begin unloading.}}}---

Chaos: You see Larry the PCX Title isn't about Legacy. Sure adding your name to my list of victims raises my spotlight. I'll give you that, but what makes the PCX Title great isn't the MEN that will hold it. No it will the rules under how it's defended. The Legacy of the PCX Title is already set in stone. Weather I'm Champion or not, this belt will be defended in a spectacle of blood and violence. It will not just the man who wears the belt, but the circumstances of each and every title defense that makes this belt special. A World Title match is just what it is Larry. You’re getting in the ring and fighting for a belt with three or four letters in front of it. The PCX Title...forget putting the belt on the line...you could be putting your career on the line.

---{{{He Points at the camera and smiles}}}---

Chaos: See Larry you want a Legacy...you want to be looked back on fondly in history as one of the very best. You want a name like Caesar, or an Alexander. An empire builder.

---{{{He grins and shrugs his shoulders with a smug look on his face}}}---

Chaos: I really don't care...hell I'll be satisfied with just being on the same level with say....well a Black beard.

---{{{He waves his hand and the camera pans back to see the men continue to unload}}}---

Chaos: But enough of this history talk...I'm starting to sound as boring as you. We've got a match Larry and a HELL of a match. See I never thought for a second you wouldn't be up for it. For if there is one thing I'll give you Larry, you are a HELL of a wrestler. You are a competitor. You'll step up and fight the fight as best you can, but it's hard Larry when you’re not sure what the fight is. See you have been around and you are damn good, but Larry you've NEVER...NEVER been in a match like this before. I bet you’ve never even thought about being in match like this before. but you are now. Hell I can’t wait to see the look on your face.

---{{{He begins walking following the work crew into the brick walled hallways leading deep inside the garden. His footsteps echo loudly as he finally reaches the big open belly of the beast}}}---

Chaos: Well here we are Larry.

---{{{He takes a deep breath}}}---

Chaos: I can almost smell the blood that's going to be spilled. I hope you’re ready for that. You might have gone to great lengths....great long wordy lengths to turn the tables on me Larry. To tell me what is a stake for me in this match, but all fell on deaf ears Larry. Why? Because I know it. Why else would I go through all this trouble? Why else would I take the risk of suspension from LaRoque and the backlash of Marceu to add these stipulations? It's because I already knew that tournament was a joke. Hell it was the easiest point of my career, but ever since winning that title, I've been on a rampage and not just here in New Era, but around the world. Yet this is were the Irony really hits you Larry and it's also a point of your Legacy that you've over looked.

---{{{He holds up it two battered and scared hands cupping them together}}}---

Chaos: Your Legacy is here Larry and it has been for awhile. See not only will you have a huge setback WHEN you lose this match to me Larry, but I'm one of the main reasons that that World Title you want so badly will even mean a thing. How you may ask? Well it's called the Dupree Cup Larry and weather you want to admit it or not the spotlight on New Era has been huge as we've been put up against other leagues.

---{{{The camera pans up from his hands and he stares into it}}}---

Chaos: No thanks to you. See that World Title not only had to have a great Champion Larry, but it needs to have a great League behind it. It' needs to have a league that separates itself from the others. That's just what we’ve been doing and will continue to do.

---{{{He chuckles loudly and the smile returns}}}---

Chaos: Without your help either. Sure I might just be a cog, but a damn important one to you. Because the more New Era succeeds the greater the glory on not just the men who earned it, but on it's league's champion. Which could be you someday and IF that day comes you have to secretly thank me twice. You might have your Legacy on that day Larry Tact, but without me or MWG, , Mr. Entertainment and even HAL...well that belt around your waist won't have a damn bit of pedigree. And Despite all the thinking you've done for our upcoming match...it's a big point you've over looked. However don’t thank me yet Larry, because you still have one obstacle first

---{{{He takes a step back as a forklift carries large sections of scaffolding to ringside. He laughs loudly over the sound of the motor as he imagines what the completed ten foot structure is going to look like}}}---

Chaos: Oh Larry, I've given this match a lot of thought. I've thought about the PCX Title, my future and even your Legacy, but what you need to do now Larry is sit back and wait. Wait till you see what I have in store for you, because you won't believe it. Hell even I'm having a hard time believing what the State of New York is going to let me do in this building.

---{{{He turns to the camera and looks very proud of himself}}}---

Chaos: But the best point will be not just the match itself Larry, because it will stand out above ALL others that night. No the best point will be the look on your face, when you get to ringside and see just what kind if brutality I have in store for you. You've talked about it a lot Larry....hell we both have, but at the moment the very last thing on your mind will your Legacy...and do you know why?

---{{{He laughs loudly and it quickly fades to a cold dead sneer}}}---

Chaos: Because at some point any thought of your Legacy will be far from your mind when....FEAR AND SURVIVIAL TAKEOVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

---{{{He laughs loudly}}}---

Chaos: Because THAT Larry Tact is what the PCX Title is all about and if you don’t know that YET!!!! Well you've got a hard lesson to learn.

---{{{His laughter continues to echo in the empty arenajust as his cell phone starts to ring He reaches down to answer}}}---

Chaos: Hello???

Re: Non-Title P©X Match - Tact v Chaos (c)

ooc: Stupid username not staying logged in. Curses! =p

A sea of royal blue backdrops dresses the scene. Peering down from a rotating, aerial view, Larry Tact is seen sitting in the middle of these backdrops, wearing silver leather pants and a black button-down shirt, the first few buttons left undone. His hair tied back, he looks straight ahead, the shot continuing to profile him from above.

LARRY TACT: "It's not long now until I set foot in the ring with a monster of NEW, the PCX Champion, Chaos. People have been advising me to give more consideration to what I'm willingly about to put myself through. Talk of career threatening injuries... career-ending injuries... being at the mercy of whatever monstrocity Chaos is planning to invoke with the power of this match's stipulation."

"I've been cautioned of the Hell Chaos himself can unleash on his own, much less with the PCX rules in effect. One of the people I still consider a friend in this industry, despite our past battles in the ring and out, called me... just to remind me of what happened when Chaos faced Suicide for the NEW Television Title. The carnage... the sparks and stench of scorching flesh on electrified steel... the severe blood loss and fears of management back then. Needless to say, he watches New ERA from time to time, though I haven't been able to convince him to throw in his clever hat into the mix."

"But I asked him, when he rung off this reasoning to me, "And how did you think that match went? What was your feeling when you watched that go down?" Do you know what his answer was?"

The shot switches to that of a front-and-center view.

"He said, 'It was probably one of, if not the most breathtaking match I've seen in NEW.' Then he realized I'd given him the old touche."

"The fact is... there's always going to be risks. Injuries? Chaos has amassed a laundry list for himself and his opponents. And while I am one of the best at what I do, wrestling people down and keeping them there... making them submit to what I subject them to... it doesn't necessarily end there."

"I know that doesn't quite compare to the physical strain and potential risks of a match like the one I'm about to enter. I wouldn't claim as much. But I've had my share of more brutal matches. I've tangled with barbed wire... been through a School Yard Brawl... hell, I was thrown off a Cell to concrete just like the so-called 'hardcore' greats. I've had a stretcher launched on me... been put through a car... and well, the list goes on."

"Those are all little feats, I suppose, to the 'extreme' fan. And I've done similar to others, if not worse. But do you want to know what? None of that even matters."

"The things Chaos has done to all those other people, no matter the outcome, is inconsequential."

"Quite simply, they aren't me. They don't bring back to him what I will. Because I am unique in my own sense."

"And the only way to describe what I will be doing in that match, come BattleBRAWL... is once again I will..."

"Tactilize!"

The backdrops drop to reveal the logo for BattleBRAWL. Fade out.

Re: Non-Title P©X Match - Tact v Chaos (c)

(His booming voice echoes in the vast emptiness of MSG. Chaos stands still talking on his cell phone. Behind him the first legs of a ten foot scaffold have been erected and from the top of the arena ropes are hanging from four powerful winches. He nods his head as the conversation continues and the camera moves in closer to pick up his conversation.)

Chaos: where am I? I'm here at the arena. I got my delivery and I'm starting to have things set-up. Where are you?

---{{{He stands still while the response fills his ears, an angry scowl comes over his face and her retorts}}}---

Chaos: what do you mean I can't use them all? Were you? We need to get this settled.

---{{{Again there is a pause and he shakes his head in frustration}}}---

Chaos: Look were is your box seat, I'll meet you there.

---{{{He looks in the camera giving the camera man a harsh look}}}---

Chaos: Larry...I hope when this is all done and your body lies broken and bloody...you can at least appreciate all the hassle I went through to get it done.

---{{{He laughs and heads right starting to climb a long flight of stairs to the upper levels}}}---

CUTTO:

---{{{Its a few minutes later and Chaos pops his head in the box seat of NEW Era President Marcus LaRoque}}}---

Chaos: Alright LaRoque, what's the deal

LaRoque: Look you got your match, but I'm not letting you use all five hundred. It's just too dangerous. Cut it in half and the match is signed.

(Chaos pauses for a moment to think rubbing his hand through the short goatee on his chin)

Chaos: Alright you got a deal, so is this official

(LaRoque stands and looks him in the eye)

LaRoque: It is, BUT this will NEVER happen again. I've sat back and let you use tables; fire, hell even thumbtacks, but you've pushed it way too far. It's not going to happen again.

(Chaos holds up his hand to stop his speech)

Chaos: Oh it will and I'll tell you the single reason why?

(LaRoque grins and sits back down)

LaRoque: And what would that be?

(Chaos smiles wide)

Chaos: The Buy rate LaRoque, when you see the buy rate fro this Pay-Per-View. You’re going to let me run wild. Hell this is just the beginning, now are we done here?

(LaRoque shakes his head in his usual frustration)

LaRoque: Yeah...we are done, but heed my words Chaos...you can only push it so far.

---{{{Chaos flashes him a cocky grin and walks out the door. From the he heads down the hallway and looks at the arena down below as the full scaffold his assembled and the ropes are being attached. He turns to the camera and smiles}}}---

Chaos: Well Larry...it's done. At Battle Brawl the match is official. Here...LIVE...in your HOMETOWN!!!! I will bring blood and destruction. I'm glad you had a chat with Suicide. I hope he told you it took him and three other men to defeat me in our last match. I really hope that don't need to stoop to that level when this match finally goes down. I know you’re a hell of a wrestler. I know you’re no stranger to a good brawl, but Larry you've never wrestled in match like this before.

---{{{He points down to the arena as the men continue to set-up}}}---

Chaos: It's like nothing that's ever been done. It's a match that I promise will leave people talking and wondering about for quite sometime. Sure there is always been risk Larry. Muscles have been pulled, joints dislocated and bones broken. Yet this match is a guarantee...that there will be blood...

---{{{He laughs loudly}}}---

Chaos: Oh yes Larry there will be blood. BUCKETS OF IT!!!! You wanted Battle Brawl to be your shining moment. The night for you to walk out of here a Champion. Well there is no belt on the line Larry. There is much more. Neither of us will be the same after this match. We're both going to need stitches, maybe staples and a good time to heal. Hell one of us might need a transfusion. Yet that is what the PCX Title is all about. I don’t want to be one of the many like you Larry. I don't want a legacy of being just one more World Champion. Hell I don't want a legacy at all.

---{{{He points his finger at the camera}}}---

Chaos: Also forget about Tactilizing anything in this match Larry. The last thing you’re going to want to do it drop to the mat. Instead prepare your mind and your body for a night like it's never had before. Because one hour before Battle Brawl starts. Well that's when I'll tell you what the stipulations for our match. I'll tell you and the wrestling world just what my twisted mind has come up with. ONE HOUR LARRY TACT!!!

---{{{He continues to point and let's loose a sadistic laugh}}}---

Chaos: ONE HOUR TO LET THE HORROR SET IN!!!!

---{{{He continues to laugh as the camera pans down to see the finishes scaffold start to be hoisted in the air as anther crew begins to set up the ring underneath}}}---
