Re: NFW RELOADED 19: BOSTON, MA

[We fade in to see Bandit and Devastator in a location befitting the Graverobbers team - a cemetery. Legion is absent - at least on camera.]

Bandit: So our gracious President [the words said with some venom] has decided that we MUST defend our EMT belts at Reloaded in Boston, after what we did in the ESEN studios I'm surprised he hasn't tried to twist the knife into us even further by making it a stipulation even Varga would have thrown up his hands in the air at.

Yet he's allowing us to choose who we want to fight.. lesser teams would take the easy way out - put a team together of P.King Duck and some other guy known for just getting completely destroyed time and time again but myself and Devastator here - we like a challenge.

I have to say though, for those expecting us to face the Hellfire Club boys again - you're SOL fellas, if they want to face us for those belts they're going to have to go through *chuckles* a trial of Hellfire before we even CONSIDER giving them a look in.

The team we want to face... is simple - two men that are two of the toughest sons of bitches to team up in the NFW besides ourselves - a veteran of the sport with a man that we have seen go through hell himself against Dorchester Stratton and more recently Impulse and Jack Harmen.. Done Did It Inc, you are the team we want to face in Boston. Let's give them a match to use as the wrestling epitome of Boston Strong fellas and hell at the next Brawl give those Hellfire Club boys a good beating for us while you're at it. [laughs]

Re: NFW RELOADED 19: BOSTON, MA

(CUT TO: The NFW TV Championship is glistening as it sits on an oak table. The camera pans out and shows a concerned VERONICA ABRAMS RUMSFELD sitting on the corner of the table, her arms folded. Behind it, fingers steepled and arms akimbo, is DORCHESTER STRATTON.)

VERONICA: "Dorchester, it can be ANYONE. It can be absolutely ANYONE who has ever wrestled in the NFW. Hell, you could probably pick one of the no-names in the UWA! But... but... but, PLEASE, Dorchester. PLEASE don't pick..."

(She stares at Dorchester whose Jon Hamm playing poker face doesn't waver from the camera.)

VERONICA: "Fine, Dorchester. I guess it will be another overnight stay in the ER."

(She storms off as Dorchester just sits before pointing at the camera.)

DORCHESTER: "When you talk about the past five years of New Frontier Wrestling, a lot of names will come up. A lot of people will mention names as to who is the greatest of all-time. A lot of people will debate who belongs in the NFW Hall Of Fame. Who was the most dastardly. Who was the baddest. Who was the most destructive. Who was the one who DEFINED and DOMINATED an era. You can talk about a lot of names. But I dare any of you to name ONE MAN who has done what I've done. I dare ANYONE to name one man who has DESTROYED LIVES. I HAVE ENDED CAREERS! I HAVE PUT PEOPLES LIVELIHOODS INTO THE GRAVE. WildStar? I retired that old man's ass and spat in his wife's face right after I did so. Joe The Plumber? First I blinded the son-of-a-bitch, then I broke his ankle, and the so-called next greatest of all-time was GONE IN THE SNAP OF MY FINGER. Troy Windham? I brain kicked him against ring steps. Mike Randalls? I did THE SAME TO HIM. And Jack Bryant? The man who just got the torch supposedly passed on to him?" (Dorchester taps the title.) "Well... you all saw what happened. It took us seven matches and it damn well took off YEARS of my career. But I won the NFW Title. I WON OUR WAR. Because I am Dorchester Stratton. I AM THE ASSASSIN. I AM THE MAN WHO PUTS PEOPLE DOWN! The is no one -- repeat, NO ONE -- better in a match when you go all-in. There is no one -- repeat, NO ONE -- better when everything is on the line. I walk that high wire. I grab that tree branch that overhangs the cliff. I might have traded up my duds from my Fall Out Boy T-Shirts into my Jos. A. Bank collection. I might have gone from borrowing a car to owning a Bentley. I might have gone from the Lehigh Valley to a summer house in Nantucket. I might have gone from taking Rayne out on dates to Qdoba to having Veronica Abrams Rumsfeld -- the most beautiful woman in this industry -- chain me up and drip candle wax onto my body. I might have gone from DC to Dorchester. I might have gone from that lovable king of the backyard to the most cunning, ruthless, heartless man in the history of New Frontier Wrestling. But one thing has ALWAYS remained the same."

(Dorchester pauses as the camera pans in on him.)

DORCHESTER: "I will always DIE TRYING to prove what I say. But I didn't come up with that phrase myself. No. Someone SAID it to me. Someone saw that I would do what HE DID in order to get ahead. It was once said about him that he had the biggest heart in the world BUT IT WAS MADE OF BLACK. We've sorta ducked this history between us for a while now. But now?" (Dorchester smirks.) "Now it's time for this history to get settled and for ONE MORE SCALP to end up on the mantle of The Hellfire Club. It's time for this to end." (Dorchester pauses.) "AKITA HOSHI... TSUNAMI... We once reigned as Kingz together. As Suicide Kingz. But, Akita, New Frontier Wrestling isn't a big enough playground for both of us. I've got the NFW TV Title and that's NOT ENOUGH. No. What I need... what I NEED... is to end another person's career. And whose better than YOURS! Eddie Mayfield wants me to name my opponent. I pick you. And, Akita, there's one more thing. I'm issuing this to you and I'm sure you'll accept it, because I know who you are. Akita, if I win... YOU ARE GONE FROM NEW FRONTIER WRESTLING FOREVER! Akita, I need this from you. Because I know that you will do whatever it takes to take this title from me and save your career. And I NEED YOU TO DO JUST THAT... so I can once again TELL THE WORLD that I am the man who DEFINES this promotion. Akita Hoshi... Tsunami... You coined the phrase 'DIE TRYING' for us all those years ago. Well, my mentor... that's exactly what you're going to do. DIE TRYING to beat me -- THE ASSASSIN DORCHESTER STRATTON!"

Re: NFW RELOADED 19: BOSTON, MA

(CUT TO: An empty wrestling ring. Sitting on the top rope is AKITA HOSHI, his face smeared with paint like a child's craft project. He's wearing a DIE TRYING FIVE STAR GYM shirt that hangs over black spandex trunks w/ matching moon boots. Standing in front of him is a familiar face -- WILDSTAR! Star's hair has been cut short. He's wearing a FIVE STAR GYM T-Shirt in the same font/design used by the power-pop band Cheap Trick.)

HOSHI: "ATTACK! DANGERMAN! ATTACK!"

(Hoshi sprays some black mist into the air as 'Star claps his hands and cackles.)

STAR: "Oh, Dorchester. I have WAITED for this moment. I have been SALIVATING over this moment. It wasn't that long ago when all this happened. When you turned your back on us. When you turned your back on YOUR FAMILY. When you and your minions in the then-Dynasty jumped me and THE BEST MAN AT MY WEDDING from behind. My man here, Akita Hoshi, he brought you INTO THIS WORLD. And you, Stratton... you tried to take him out! Hoshi was given one of the worst concussions of his career. Me and him? We've had a few of those."

('Star pauses.)

STAR: "That's why, Stratton... I initially BEGGED Hoshi not to take this match. Because I know better than anyone what you're capable of. You pinned my ass and retired me. And that match? I *STILL* haven't recovered from that match physically, let alone emotionally. What you did to Joe The Plumber? Taking out the most dominant figure in this industry's history? Troy Windham? MIKE RANDALLS--" (Akita bows.) "And then Jack Bryant? Dorchester, you are every bit as dangerous as you claim yourself to be. You are indeed The Assassin. You put people down. You end careers. And my man Akita? Tsunami? Well, he and I put a LOT of miles on our bodies. All it will take from you is one Stepping Stone kick to the temple. One Shooting Star Press onto a skull. One Credit Crunch onto the neck. And Hoshi here? Well... We don't even want to THINK about that."

(Akita sprays more mist.)

STAR: "But, Stratton, there's difference between Akita and all of those other men I've just named. And that difference is FRUSTRATION. That's the feeling, Stratton, that you had. Calvin Carlton and Blaine Hollywood and that tramp you romp around with got it in your head that you weren't getting what you deserved running with us. You grew FRUSTRATED and it turned you into the black-hearted monster you are today. Frustration is a PART of being a family. We thought you were part of our family. You weren't. But me and Hoshi? This is the best man at my wedding. I introduced him to his wife! I'm his son's godfather. My son calls him UNCLE. We've wrestled in over 125 countries. We've ridden in planes and cars and RVs together. We are FAMILY. But we had some frustrations with each other. And, Stratton, you're about to hear Hoshi's frustrations and you're going to understand very, very quickly why you just said some words you're going to regret."

(Hoshi starts to make the hand belt gesture.)

STAR: "The first time I met Hoshi -- aka Tsunami -- he was a 22-year-old kid straight from Japan. I heard about him and watched some tapes of his and was impressed. We hit it off in the CSWA locker rooms. People wanted to write him off from Day 1. He was a 22-year-old kid who was maybe six feet tall and maybe 185 pounds. You think a guy like that ever gets over in Greensboro? Well, 'Nami was NOT going to quit. He wasn't going to allow himself to be cast as a cruiserweight sideshow. He wasn't going to allow himself to get pushed aside. He was going to do WHATEVER IT TOOK to get ahead. They said his heart was bigger than anyone's even though it was made of black. And that, Stratton, got him to THE TOP. He's still the youngest guy to ever hold the CSWA World Championship. He's still the smallest guy to hold the CSWA World Championship. I was the FIRST PERSON to embrace him after he did the impossible! That will NEVER be taken away from him."

(Star pauses.)

STAR: "But that was the only single's gold my man ever held. After his title run came to an end, we talked each other into forming a tag team. And while we're without question the greatest tag team that ever lived... I can't help but feel some guilt." (Star turns to Akita who nods and then back to the camera.) "My man could have gone down as THE BEST EVER. My man could have held ANY singles title he wanted to. But instead... instead he SACRIFICED all that to partner with me! HE SACRIFICED THAT SO I COULD MAKE IT TO THE HALL OF FAME! I... I can't really say the same. I certainly took some single's shine when we could have hit it up together. And that, Stratton, THAT is frustration. Akita would never say it. Akita would never tell me that. But I know, Stratton... I know that deep down in his heart is resentment about never getting the solo shine he could have had."

(Hoshi nods up and down and points at the camera.)

STAR: "You're right, Stratton. Hoshi's going to give you the toughest fight of your career. But it ain't because his back is against the wall, my man. Don't get me wrong -- his back IS against that wall. But he's got a chance to finally, after 18 years, get a singles title once again. This isn't just about revenge and the joy of kicking your rotten teeth down your throat as Veronica has to watch. This isn't just about saving a hall-of-fame career. This, Stratton, is about redemption. This, Stratton, is about a man -- a GREAT man, the BEST man I've ever known -- finally getting what could have been his all along. And, Stratton, that is why I can't wait. I was the first person to embrace him when he won the big one all those years ago. And at Reloaded 19? I'm going to be the first one to do the same for him when he takes that TV title."

(Akita sprays some more mist.)

AKITA: "ALERT! DANGERMAN! ALERT! NO DANGER MAN!" (Hoshi cackles.) "INSTEAD... TITLEMAN!"

Re: NFW RELOADED 19: BOSTON, MA

"I know people like their beers served cold..."

[Cold open. Standing before us are the three men that comprise the Chromatic Dragons, one of the influx of new blood in the NFW tag team scene. Front and center is the man known only as Ancalagon, dressed in golden robes and waving his walking stick around at the camera. Standing behind Ancalagon to the left of center is Black Zack Dragon. He sways slightly back and forth, k with the bottom of his black trench coat moving in kind. Behind Ancalagon and right of center is the tower of a man known as Omega Zero. Everything below his neck is covered in a black cloak with his long silver hair resting on his shoulders. Both wrestling Dragons wear sunglasses, while Ancalagon's hazel eyes are uncovered and starting at the camera.]

Ancalagon:
...but I don't think even the brewers of beer want it served at Absolute Zero.

[A slight chuckle from Zack. Zero remains emotionless, his gaze fixed forward. As Ancalagon speaks, he waves his cane around in front of the camera much like one would believe stereotypical Italian would speak.]

Ancalagon:
Allow us to formally introduce ourselves. We are The Chromatic Dragons, and if you are standing on the opposite side of the ring from us, we are the portrait of destruction, the visage of despair, and the name of your death. What you saw this past Reloaded is simply the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the type of devastation we are capable of in the ring. Of course you are familiar with the massive size and power of the Patron Saint Of Winter... they're probably still resetting the frozen bones of the Philadelphia Smarxpress... so you may think to yourself that you would be best served looking elsewhere to find salvation. Well I've got news for you, tag teams of the New Frontier... You will find no respite from the Black Dragon standing behind me.

[Ancalagon taps the chest of the Black Dragon with the golden dragon head on the top of his staff.]

Ancalagon:
His very touch will corrode the skin from your flesh and melt tissue from bone. When he clasps your body in his claws, he will grip you by your very soul. It will not be long before you will wish for the biting cold of winter once more.

[A smile creeps over the face of the Black Dragon.]

Ancalagon:
With our debut out of the way and the first victory realized, we can now focus on moving forward towards our collective goals here in NFW, the first of which is to work our way through the mortals that stand between us and the sweet taste of tag team gold. So believe me when I say to you, tag teams of the New Frontier, that the eyes of the Dragons are upon you, watching... waiting...biding our time, climbing the ladder set before us to get our shot at the tag team champions, be they Done Did It, Inc, or The Graverobbers, or any other tag team that wishes to stand before us and declare themselves champion. We will have our shot. We will hold that gold. It's all a matter of time. And as immortals...time is on our side.

[Ancalagon bends his head and holds his staff to his chest. It’s at this time that we hear another voice...a deep, growl of a voice coming from Omega Zero.]

Zero:
Peter Windham.

[The Ice Dragon bows his head, and as he does, the Black Dragon speaks.]

Dragon:
Peter Windham, it is true we are a destructive force of immortal power. But, you were not our intended target, and while we are happy to apply our talents to those who dare stand against us, we would prefer...minimal collateral damage. It was because of this, and the appreciation of being included in your Showcase, that Omega allowed you to continue to live and breathe after you had taken your verbal abuse way too far.

Do not mistake our mercy for kindness. Do not misunderstand our moral code. At Reloaded 18, you let anger consume you, and despite that decision, you were allowed to continue to exist on this planet. Should you cross us again...should you attempt to physically impose your will upon myself, Omega, or Ancalagon, then you will be extended no further mercy.

[Now it is Zack’s turn to bow his head, as Ancalagon raises his and points the cane at the camera.]

Ancalagon:
Tag teams of the New Frontier.

We have not come here to praise you.

But instead to bury you.

Welcome to Your Dying.

[Cut.]

Signed Hit

[FADE IN: on TEDDY ALEXANDER sitting before his laptop screen in a motel room that has a distinctive Texan twang. The motel is cheap and decorated with Texan effects as ALEXANDER smiles like the proverbial cat whom ate said canary before the laptop.]

TEDDY ALEXANDER:
“Oh, Leyenda. Did you happen to catch da good Eddie Mayfield’s presser just da other day, man?”

[Reaches down and grabs a sheet of paper. He looks down at it proudly.]

TEDDY ALEXANDER:

“He made some announcements which may or may not interest you but I think you ought to pay attention to somethin’ other than da controller in your hand.

“At least for one Goddamn minute.”

[He turns the sheet around and it’s an official New Frontier Wrestling document. Titled with the words “CONTRACT” across the top. TEDDY’s name can clearly be seen in bold and at the bottom there are signatures from himself and a dignitary known as Eddie Mayfield.]

TEDDY ALEXANDER:

“See dat? Dat’s is officially Eddie Mayfield signin’ what you might call a hit. Dis is da end of your first title reign, Leyenda. Da very end.

“And if you so much as do somethin’ stupid like stick around and fight?

“It’ll be more than da end of your title reign.”

[TEDDY snickers.]

TEDDY ALEXANDER:

“It’ll be game over.

“I’m comin’ Leyenda. I’m comin’ for you and it’s not gonna be pretty so you better just roll over and play dead. You’re da first rung on my ladder. Da ladder back to where I was before I hurt my shoulder. Da ladder back to where I was on da peckin’ order.

“And you’re a message. Da whole roster will hear it. It’ll resonate through your cold, lifeless body in da centre of dat Frontier ring as I raise da Triple Crown Championship high above my head.

“Da time has come.”

[TEDDY nods. That smile has left his face. It’s replaced by a throbbing vein on the side of his neck. The one that threatens impending doom.]

TEDDY ALEXANDER:

“Da time has come to let da bodies... HIT!... da floooooorrrrrr!”

[He reaches out and snaps the lid down on the laptop.]

Making the Splash

(The scene opens in Boston, inside a local gym and boxing club. It's an older place, showing a lot of character and age with a legacy of faded event posters lining the walls. In a secluded corner separated from the locals, the camera finds KERRY KUROYAMA running through a few combos with a heavy punching bag. He switches from stiff chops to hard knee strikes with amazing quickness and finesse, leaving the bag shaking violently on its chain. Catching a glimpse of the camera, he promptly decides it's time for a break, and runs through the usual training promo routine -- towels off the sweat, takes a drink, catches his breath -- before his eyes find the camera and he becomes all business.)

"The bus ride from Texas back here to east coast was long. Lucky for me, there was plenty to study up on during the trip to keep myself from getting bored."

(He takes a seat on the bench and picks up a nearby tablet from his things. A tap on the screen to start it up shows he's been streaming video off of ESEN's mobile app... specifically, a highlight reel of "DA MAN" XAVIER LANGSTON taking it to PLAIN BROWN RAPPER back at BRAWL 66 in Albuquerque.)

"Amarillo is behind me now, and I left my official New Frontier debut with a hard-earned victory. But there's no time to celebrate, because there's more work to be done. The next stop is here in Boston, at Reloaded 19. The Pacific Blitzkrieg goes up against 'Da Man' Xavier Langston, in a battle they're billing as the Young Lions Showcase."

"Up until now, I've only made ripples by picking up wins against independent-caliber opponents... but this match gives me my first true opportunity to take myself the next level in NFW. All I have to do is score a well-fought win over another young and hungry talent looking to make a name for himself."

(As the video reaches its end, he taps the next one in line from the "Suggested Viewing" queue, bringing up a Xavier Langston promo which plays through without volume.)

"From what I've studied, Xavier Langston and I are very similar in terms of style and physical specs... perhaps not so much when it comes to philosophy. He lives by the creed that his will is the law, and by way of the Law of the Jungle, he justifies imposing that will against any who might resist it as a way of putting himself ahead."

"I suppose that makes sense, provided you have the power to impose that will. From what I've seen of the highlights, Xavier certainly displayed that some of that power back in Albuquerque..."

(He closes out of the video and sets the pad aside, giving his attention to the camera again.)

"And I will admit, I'm impressed by what little I've seen so far... but what really interests me is what I feel we all have yet to see. Something tells me... there's more to Xavier Langston than what we saw at BRAWL 66... more than what an opponent on the level of 'P-B-R' could bring out of him. I feel you can't truly judge 'Da Man' until you've seen him put up against a legitimate challenge, and watched his confidence tested against greater adversity."

"But maybe we'll see that side of him soon... because that challenge is exactly what I intend to bring into the squared circle, come Reloaded 19. And when that bell rings, Xavier is going to quickly learn that he's not the only one with will to succeed, and imposing his own isn't going to be as easy as he seems to think."

"Simply put, I am fully set on making the most of this one-year contract that I earned back in Philadelphia. A year isn't a very long amount of time in this business... not in this generation of wrestling, where the up-and-comers seem to spring up and fade out faster than the seasons change. For me, every match counts from here on out... and every moment I spend in that ring on New Frontier's dollar, I'm going to be putting it all out there, fighting every battle like it was my last."

"Not everybody gets to enjoy success early on in their career... but here I am in a position to make that happen in my own path, provided I continue to learn and evolve with every encounter. Like a true young lion, I'm hungry to move up, longing to be that powerful and vigorous alpha male standing at the head of the pack. In order to get there though, I have to put the other young lions in check and let them know what their place is."

"Langston is a fine talent, and I don't feel the outcome of this match will immediately determine who may or may not eventually go on to become the superior athlete. All the same, it never hurts to make an impact early on. Xavier knows this, as do I... and neither of us is simply going to roll over to the other."

"When I look at 'Da Man' Xavier Langston, I see remarkable speed and agility... which is something I'm going to have to prepare for. But being fast and frantic will only get you so far... and likely nowhere when all that energy gets used up. My game is a game of focus and patience... waiting for the right opportunities to strike, and outlasting opponents until they run out of juice, and let their guard down for a quick knock out strike."

(He glances over to the bag, still wavering slightly on its chain, even though a few minutes have passed. A confident smile crosses his face.)

"Ultimately though, I can't make a guarantee on how this is going to end. Confident as I am in myself, there are always factors that I can't possibly account for. Fortunately for me, that rule works both ways... and for as much as Langston feels he can impose his will over others, there are some forces that just can't be overcome, regardless of self-confidences."

(He rises off of the bench and puts on a gray Seattle Seahawks hoodie, getting a few ugly looks from what we could assume are a few Patriot fans among the gym's local clientele. Kerry notices the looks, but doesn't look miffed.)

"Something I've had to adjust to recently is walking into unfamiliar territory... which was the case back in Amarillo. Before then, I had only competed against familiar crowds, either in Seattle or back in Philly. But against P. King Duk Windham, I had my first chance to go out there in front of a bunch of fans that had no idea who I was or what I was about; they only wanted their money's worth."

"But I could see by the looks on their faces, after that match was through, that an impression had been made. Now it's time for me to follow up on it, coming into yet another unfamiliar face in front of another unfamiliar crowd, and trying to earn the respect of these Boston wrestling fans by coming away with another win."

"If I get choked out in the end, it won't be the end of the world... but it will be a heavy disappointed. I'm not going to let that happen, though... not while I know all that's at stake with this opportunity. Like I said, one year is a very limited amount of time to make an impact."

"So bring on Reloaded 19... because I have a legacy to build."

(Kerry Kuroyama grabs his back and steps out of the frame, brushing by the local patrons, ignoring the stares, and leaving through the as the camera goes to black.)

Re: Making the Splash

“If there’s one thing I don’t like, Teddy, it’s being told what to do.”

(FADE TO: Leyenda de Ocho, planted firmly on a worn blue couch, N64 controller seated next to him. Neck brace sitting casually on his lap. Triple Crown Championship slung over the back of the couch, main plate facing the camera with a slowly-spinning bright yellow five-pointed star with black slits for eyes.)

Ocho: “Some people want me to change myself, to quit playing games, to enter their own perceptions of reality, to become something more within their comfort zone of what a wrestler can be. Others want me to get out of the way, roll over, give up the chase, give up the fight, maybe change my name to Leyenda de Doormat.

Not happening, friend. Something in me is a little too stubborn to get pushed around like that.

But at the same time, Ted, I’m no fool. I know what you’re capable of – I felt first-hand what your best shot does to a person.” (Ocho lifts the neck brace up and motions towards it.) “Twice.” (Brace gets tossed aside.)

Ocho: “I’ve been thinking about it. A lot. Rook Black, for the longest time, was my Final Boss. I had this morality play in my head where I, as Link, must vanquish the Ganon that was Rook, and by succeeding in this noble quest I would bring justice and peace to the land. And when you blindsided me, Ted – when you wiped me out? It made me start to wonder if I was naïve…and then I kept thinking. And I kept thinking. And I came to an epiphany.

You too – you, are a boss. But the game has been changed completely.

I’ve conquered the cerebral menace. And now I must conquer the physical demon. It’s a new path fraught with peril and danger and most CERTAINLY a world of pain – but pure might does not make right. I’ll show the world that this journey I am on is NO fluke.

You think Eddie signed my death warrant, but the way I see it?”

(Ocho reaches off screen and picks up a Super Mario 64 cartridge and shows it to the camera.)

Ocho: “He’s just given me the next game to beat.”

(Ocho steps forward and places the cartridge directly in front of the camera, blacking out the screen. A button is pressed. A familiar [to some] sound of an N64 booting up plays.)

(BLAST OF STATIC)

(CUTTO: ALEX AUSTIN and LUCKY SEVEN at a playground in Brooklyn. Austin is sitting at the end of a yellow slide, while Seven hangs from a monkey bar. "7 Words" by Deftones plays in the background)

AUSTIN: "It was right there for the taking. The NFW Triple Crown Championship; my opportunity to carve a place in wrestling history by becoming the national champion this company so DESPERATELY needs. Could you imagine, a modern day champion who draws his lineage all the way back to Karl Gotch? A TRUE Catch Wrestling master."

"But it was not to be, and I blame YOU, O GLORIOUS TEACHER, for poisoning my mind with FEAR and DOUBT only minutes before my match. Be honest! This isn't about some impostor running around calling himself STRYFE. This is about YOU and ME! You just couldn't bare the thought of your student carrying around a belt while your waist remains unstrapped."

"You made it to the top of the mountain, there's no disputing that. And now you're left with only one direction to go, and that's DOWN. You really think you're going to get BETTER with age? No. No no no. It's MY time! Look around, Castor! Where are all your contemporaries? Manson, Nova, Joe The Plumber, Felix Red, Shane Southern. They all got a taste of the nectar from Mount Olympus and BOLTED. It's not because they got rich and lazy. It's because they SUCK. They saw new competitors on the horizon, and left while the leaving was good. So that's what you should do, man - you should LEAVE before I have to kick you out the door. Retire. Go train people for a living, because your time is UP."

(Seven drops from the bar and walks up to the camera)

SEVEN: "See Johnny play. See Johnny run. Johnny's getting bigger, and before your polaroid's developed Johnny's gone digital. Now he's a big boy. Now he's a man. We're off your playground, big brother. We've left the reservation, Chief. Tell ya the truth, I never really liked pro-wrestling. It's been a staple of our family for years, and like any SMART PERSON I couldn't stand the thought of going into the family business. But I do like the money, I love to hurt people and I LOVE being famous."

"People tell me...I have the chance to be the biggest star in the business, and not just the girls but bigger than the guys too. I believe that, and so does Alex. Do you, Castor Strife? Your classroom's too fucking small, I'll tell you that. Alex and I are ready to move beyond the playground sand and into the dirt of superstardom. So, kindly, move out of the fucking way."

Started from the bottom now we here?

(FADEIN: Dusk, and the opulent Atlanta, GA, Peachtree Street, penthouse deck belonging to SHANIQUA CARLTON, decked out in dark oak, smooth glass and cleaner lines. The curviest part of this scene belongs to the owner, who sashays from behind a frosted-glass partition and out past her infinity pool, where there are tens and tens of hanging and glowing spiral globe lights. SHANIQUA is wearing a white/white form-fitting dress that hugs her body, and 5-inch heels, making her already amazon frame that much taller - a sexy blend of strength and femininity. She steps out and addresses the camera. Off to the right we see a blurred figure, sitting, bent over in a chair in thought. SHANIQUA also sports a new closely-cut and styled finger-wave 'Do making her look like a 2013 Josephine Baker.)

CARLTON: (pointedly) “You know what? You thought you were going to get my usual (snaps fingers and pops her hips) ‘HEYYYYYYYYY!’ from me, but no, that AIN’T happenin’ tonight, boo-boo. What IS going on, what IS cracking, is that the TASTEMAKER in pop culture, haute couture, and also in budget-minded homegoods for the fashion forward, but financially-strapped, Shaniqua Roxxanne Yvette Carlton, is NOT FEELING what’s been going on in NFW lately, especially as it comes down to my clients, and I’m talking on one “Black Falcon” Malik Anderson and 'good ol' Jack Bryant. When you see my DEE DEE AH INC / She-Unique boyfriend shirt with the branding that looks like the Run-DMC logo on sale at H&M, you knew that Pro Wrestling finally invaded the runway, and that Shaniqua Carlton IS WHAT’S UP around here - and I have to say that my boys have seen WAY too many L’s lately, and I wish I was talking about blunts.

"What I’m talking about is the fact that Malik and JB - well, it’s hard for me to say much when the team isn’t winning. I can understand Jack Bryant being frustrated, and I can also understand what he’s tryna’ do out there right now. But also I have to look out for Malik, who is being a true soldier (The figure sits up and looks over after that comment!) and he knows that the wins will come.

"Jack, though? I wasn’t really feelin’ your tantrum at BRAWL, but I understand. I understand a WINNER'S SPIRIT. That's why the NFW Universe loves you, because you don't give up. You don't quit, and even when you're so stubborn, I had to, for fear of your life, throw in the towel because you never say die. I respect that. I also know that you never wanted Shaniqua Carlton’s help, but this isn’t about me, it’s about the GREATER GOOD. And at RELOADED 19, You and Malik are going to go out there and have the chance to bring home the Everette Memorial Tradition Tagteam Titles. Legion and those two monster movie creature features are just slabs of meat holding those belts waiting for us to come get ‘em, and NOW’s our chance. NOW, JB. NOW OR NEVER. (thinks)"

JB, you probably don’t want to hear this, but I’m pulling for you, and Malik. FOR DEE DEE AH. I’ll be in your corner. Just keep your mind right.”

(FADE TO BLACK, as the figure gets up and glares at SHANIQUA. She looks back and shakes her head, shrugging.)

RE: Victory Cigar

[Fade into it.]

[We’re not in the typical sound stage environment. Instead, we find ourselves in a more personal atmosphere. Velvet red curtains have been drawn over a window in the center of the background, with the very top of the window poking out over the gold curtain rod. To the right of the window, we see an oak writing desk sans chair, drawers closed and top cleaned off, except for a gold Cigar Case and matching gold Cigar Cutter.]

[We focus on the gold case on the desk for just a moment before it’s grabbed from the desk by a mocha-colored hand. Following that hand up the arm and to the upper-body, we come across the dirty blonde dread locks, dirty blonde beard, and blue eyes of one Xavier Langston. Unscrewing the case, he draws a cigar out of the case, places the case back down off-shot, and runs the cigar under his nose, inhaling its odor in with a smile. Even the purple velour smoking jacket with gold trim seems to lift off of Xavier’s frame a bit when the cigar smell is inhaled.]

“Da Man” Xavier Langston:
Ahhh...smell that? That's the sweet smell of victory, yo, rolled in tobacco format.

[Reaching off-shot for a second, Xavier produces a gold colored lighter and the cutter we saw earlier. He lines up the cigar and gives it a good cut.]

Langston:
Now, don't get it twisted What we got here ain't exactly a high class cigar. The average Saint Luis Rey Rothchilde comes straight outta Honduras, and only runs a couple of bucks per cigar. It ain’t pure by any stretch, bit it’s a start, and you could do a hell o’ a lot worse for a first cigar, fo’ sho.

[Taking a moment, Xavier put the cigar in his mouth and lights the other end. He takes a couple of puffs as he puts his lighter and cutter off-shot, each making a thumping noise as it hits the oak surface of the writing desk. Once his hand returns to the close-up shot, he holds the cigar in his hand as he continues to speak.]

Langston:
It’s kind of like my first match back in the AQ. Sure, it was a victory, which is always far better than a loss. But it wasn’t like there was much in the way of...shall we say...resistance? Plain Brown Rapper ain’t what you call top-flight competition, ya dig? But you don’t get to be World Champ by just showin’ up. You don’t get to take a crack at the world champ by falling into the shot. You gotta start at the bottom an’ start stackin’ wins like this one until you can get to bigger an’ better competition.

And thankfully the competition just got a li’l more real, brotha.

[Another puff from the cigar as Langston sits backwards into a nearby extra-large red velvet-upholstered chair.]

Langston:
K2, how's it going dawg? Enjoying your stay on the New Frontier? I gotta admit, the caterin' ain't half bad. They got these li’l boneless buffalo chicken wings that are some kinda hot yo. That shit will light yo chest hairs on fire faster than you can say "K2 taps". And don't get me started on the cheese steak man! But what you expect when you rollin' up in Philly lookin' for good food an' good times? You should know all 'bout it seeing as you been chilling in the UWA for a while waiting to get your chance at the main roster.

[Another puff on the cigar before continuing.]

Langston:
But now, you up in the New Frontier.

An’ despite how promisin’ you are...and dat’s legit, I watched how you handled dat UWA showcase...I ain’t here to be anyone’s steppin’ stone. I ain’t here to be anyone’s next step in their path to immortality in the New Frontier. Well, except my own. But to do that...to take that next step towards Jack Harmen, or Leo de Ocho, or even any o’ their contenders, I gotta take care o’ my business in that ring.

And that’s what I plan on doin’ in Boston. Takin’ care o’ my business. Takin’ care o’ you.

[Another puff before continuing. As he speaks, Langston ashes the cigar to the left side of his chair, with the ashes falling off the screen.]

Langston:
There’s a lot of similarities between us, homeboy, at least externally. You an’ me, we had a couple o’ cupcakes that let us put our sh[No Audio] on display for the Brawl crowds to see. You an’ me, we both got pretty promisin’ futures in this company if we keep at it with our current trajectories. It’s gonna be a hell of a lotta fun stackin’ up my skill an’ my will against yours, but to me, this result, it’s already pre-determined. As much as I hear about your determination, as much as I hear about the fight you gon’ bring and the legacy you gon’ build for yo’self, I can hear the mistakes comin’ out already.

[Another puff.]

Langston:
Fo’ one, don’t be fooled by my recreational smokin’ here. If you think you gon’ wait fo’ me to run out o’ juice, then you got another thing comin’. I ain’t no 30 minute man, I ain’t no 60 minute man, I’m the [NO AUDIO]in’ Energizer bunny up in this piece. There ain’t no way I’m gonna gas myself out fresh, uninjured, an’ just two matches into my tenure as a member o’ the New Frontier roster. If that’s what you gon’ be waitin’ for, then I suggest you bring a Snickers, because you gon’ be there a while.

[Puff, ash, continue.]

Langston:
An’ fo’ two, I can hear defeat resonatin’ in yo’ words already. You sit there an’ you talk about how “if you get choked out, it’s no big deal.” Even if ya didn’t mean it that way, it means yo’ mind can conceive of defeat fo’ yo’self. It means you can see a scenario in yo’ own mind in which my hand is raised an’ yours isn’t.

But me? I ain’t got no such scenario in my mind. I can’t even fathom you hittin’ me wit’ that devastain’ Driver move, because I’m just too quick, too agile, too ready for you to hold onto. That ain’t me bein’ cocky or nothin’...well, a'ight, maybe it is a bit...but it’s also a tell to the strength o’ will we got goin’ on right here. That tells me that I got just the slightest li’l bit of a will advantage right now, because you're gon' have to literally beat dat image into my mind to make me believe.

That slight advantage is all I need to put myself in the winner’s circle.

[Puff, continue.]

Langston:
It ain’t gon’ be pretty, it ain’t gon’ be uncontested. K2 got enough talent to fight his way up to da main roster, so he got enough talent to make this a close one. But come Boston, I’mma come in a make a major statement. I’mma take that li’l bit of a will advantage and turn it into all the advantage I need to make it outta Boston with a win. I’mma come in and show everyone in the New Frontier that I am for real.

I’m gonna show ‘em all that I AM DA MAN.

And My Will...

Is...

LAW!

An when I’m done?

[Puff, ash, continue.]

Langston:
I’mma enjoy myself another victory cigar.

[Langston makes a slashing motion with his hand over his throat, and the camera cuts hard to black.]

Re: Victory Cigar

(The scene opens up on a "NO SMOKING" sign posted on the wall. That pretty much says it all.)

"Let's clear the air here, shall we?"

(The camera zooms out, revealing KERRY KUROYAMA standing tall and defiant before the camera in his emerald green robe and wrestling trunks. It's a basic white-wall promo, other than the smoking restriction sign, but the lion's stare in his eyes immediately draws us in on every word.)

"I said in my last promo that I can't guarantee how this match against Xavier Langston will end... and I stick by that statement, because it's a plain FACT that there are NO guarantees in this sport. Anything can happen once that bell rings, and I try to leave myself open to possibilities."

"But does that mean I'm reserved to defeat? No, I don't think so... if anything, it should show you all that I'm preparing myself for whatever may come, even when the dice doesn't roll my way."

"I never said losing this match would be 'no big deal', as Langston may have you believe. In fact, I pretty explicitly said that I was going to do everything it takes to prevent that from happening, given what's at stake. Recognizing the very real possibility of defeat doesn't do anything weaken my will. If anything, it only motivates me to work harder, to ensure that it never becomes a reality."

"So who really holds the advantage here? Because for all of Langston's talk on his strength of will, all I'm really seeing is single-mindedness and over-confidence. Ignoring the possibility of defeat only blinds him to the dangers he doesn't yet realize. Dangers I'm going to bring right to his doorstep in that ring."

"On the other hand, all week long, I've shown the will to prepare myself for every possible outcome... by recognizing all the different possibilities... and through hard hours of training and more hours watching videos, getting to know my opponent inside and out."

"There's no such thing as simply willing yourself to win. You can always will yourself to try, but in the end, what winning really comes down to is ability and preparation. You've all seen earlier in this week that I already have plenty of both. "

"But the only thing Xavier Langston is preparing himself for is another cigar following the match. Maybe he should hold off on lighting that until a later date, though... because if his ignorance has anything to say for it, then I think it will be some time before he can fully enjoy a puff."

"Some say having a bit of an ego is needed for success. That may be true, but all the same, an ego has to be earned. What Xavier Langston and many others may not know as of yet is that I've got a bit of an ego myself... I simply don't intend to flaunt it until I have a sufficient reason to do so."

"Those reasons will come, so long as I keep on the path and rack up some wins. At Reloaded 19, I'm going to have to earn my first real win... and to my luck, Xavier Langston is only making my job easier, by giving himself a false sense of confidence and walking into this match under a mindset that is completely vulnerable to imploding on itself at the first sign of trouble."

"I won't need for wait for him to slow down... speed and agility won't help him once he slips up and I get him to the ground. And with his quickness broken, so also will break his confidence... and as soon as it hits him that he wasn't as right as he thought he was..."

(He holds up his hand, edge-out, as though threatening a chop.)

"...the Law of Xavier Langston will be up in smoke."

(Fade to black.)

(FADEIN: A plain white wall with graffiti art featuring tags, symbols, and caricatures of multiple wrestling personalities. Carved diagonally into the center of the wall are the words, "The Director Castor Strife!" And the man himself, CASTOR STRIFE, is seated with his back to the wall, and the red light of a second camera blinking on his face like a traffic light)

CASTOR: "In my years, I've been a thousand different people, in a thousand different places, adapting...while the rest of you stagnated. You form an identity, build momentum, conquer the world, but the gold...it demands that you change. That is why our champions leave and die off, because they disobeyed the one true master. Gold doesn't thrive on yesterday, and it doesn't wait for the future to come. It is spontaneous, and when it rings, you must answer."

"I never deal in predictability. I am a constantly updating operating system, and perhaps my crime was moving faster than even I could keep up with. Yes, HUBRIS. The great equalizer! Overplaying my hand when I should have played safe. The FALL FROM GRACE. (smiles) How would you rest in a bed of glass? Ahh! You should know the answer before you approach me in that ring. It's the new ante - the cost of doing business at the very top where I still reside."

"And I did not evaporate like those champions who came before me. I'm still here, in the back of Jack Harmen's mind, in front of Alex Austin's eyes, standing in the grave of Randall Knox, paid-in-full by the stroke of Eddie Mayfield's pen. There is a new chapter that I've begun writing."

"Alex is a young man who has yet to learn a young man's lesson. He is the prospect that can't exceed the hype. He complains when I call an audible for him before a pressure situation, and on the other hand, issues a challenge to me, the man who redefined the hype machine and exceeded it every time. I AM the hype, Alex. I've lived up to and outrun my own myth."

"Men of three and four dimensions can't solve me. So I find it strange that my own student, a man of exactly ONE dimension, is calling for my head."

"After months of dropping my name to build your own, it seems that you've forgotten who I am. Let me remind you..."

(Stands up, leans in toward the camera)

CASTOR: "I am the World Champion, the ULTRATITLE Champion. One night I slept in glass, and woke up to find my students in revolt, my identity stolen, and my belt around another man's waste."

"But I will adapt, like I always do. Change. It's what made me the greatest show on planet earth. It is why no man in this company has pinned me in singles competition in over 10 years. By the time they've figured me out, it's too late."

"It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world..."

"...and the world will go my way again."
