Main Event Caliber
National Novel Writing Month is a big annual event where writers from all over the world sit down and crank out the first draft of a 50,000 word novel in November. It averages out to be roughly 1,667 words per day (which is a lot, especially if you ever miss a day).
I've attempted it for a couple years now, and last year was my first victory (fueled largely by late nights and Jim Beam). I'm going for it again this year, with the novel as an attempt to combine wrestling and noir. WrestleNoir. Think Sin City meets The Wrestler, but with a lot less polish and in need of heavy editing.
Anyway, this is also a segue to another point: this upcoming month, I may not be able to crank out my usual fwrestling output as a result of this addition to my writing workload. I'll do my best, but apologies in advance if my stuff is less frequent/has a bit of a quality dropoff.
