According to Dixie Carter...

"Hogan to debut Jan 4 in a live 3 hr iMPACT! special up against Raw. How's that for a 1st shot? Spread the word."

It isn't a regular thing yet, but if it does well, I can easily see them getting the time slot.

It would help if they had a watchable product. Honestly, I watch TNA and I get embarrassed FOR the talent, that's how bad they are.

It is a really hard watch, I find myself watching the Office and 30 Rock and then watching Impact in fast forward on TIVO.

Between "Big Bang Theory", "Two and a Half Men", and "How I Met Your Mother" and RAW, I already can't record "House" as it is. I'm hoping that this isn't permanent because I'm not giving up my CBS Comedies for this show and I already pass up Hugh Laurie who plays a much more compelling and interesting character than anyone in TNA.

It should be interesting regardless. I still think Hogan and Bischoff are still stuck in July 1996. I'm going to give TNA a chance but I'm predicting Hogan fails to get TNA over.

I just wish wrestling nowadays wasn't catered to little children. I am the quintessential 90's fan who stopped watching once WWF bought out WCW and ECW.

I'm surprised you lasted that long ... I stopped during the whole Austin / McMahon debacle.

That's about when I stopped ordering WWF PPVs and strictly ordered ECW. Actually, I think the last WWF PPV I paid for was Wrestlemania 14. After that, I'd watch RAW and Nitro, but only really gave a sh*t about ECW. Plus the Montreal Screwjob left a bad taste in my mouth, and I was (still am) a huge Bret Hart fan.

Getting back to TNA, they need to get rid of that stupid f*cking ring, tell the wrestlers to stop poorly telegraphing every damn move, get announcers who aren't piss poor terrible, and perform in front of an audience that doesn't sound like a bunch of retards giving canned applause. They don't cheer, they yell "HOOOORRRAAAAY!" God TNA is terrible. As bad as WWE is, at least they look professional. CM Punk is the only guy worth watching for my money, because he has great psychology and can work the mic with the best of them. I showed a couple people the YouTube clips where he runs down Jeff Hardy for being an addict, and they asked me if it was real (not smark types, obviously). THAT'S how you know when your stuff is really getting over.

I say this as someone who has sporadically followed wrestling since 2001: when Vince bought ECW, he should have simply balanced the books, gave them the better workers from WCW's roster (including the guys who Bischoff siphoned off from them), and allowed Paul Heyman free reign to book how he wanted.

There is so much wrestling out there that whenever I wanted to get my fix of what I wasn't getting from the WWF, I'd watch some wrestling from the indies, lucha libre, or Japan. It is so damn easy to get your fix these days between YouTube and torrents and there is very little wait, I can watch shows like a day or two after they air or less.
