RUNNING DOWN DEFIANCE
Nice signs. Mikey’s Mormon folk come out and shut down the show open for what else? Some good old shit talk. Mikey got them Vince ambitions. Alot of exposition but certainly things that needed to be explained. Tied up some loose ends here as well, the Kelly thing is perfect. Of course this couldn’t go on but for so long before someone has had enough, and the FIST is FIRST. Cayle gets off some good lines but Andy comes in hot. Great way to tie up the events of DEFCON, explain a bit and feed into the next match.

ANDY MURRAY VS. CRIMSON LORD

The tension and build up to this sham of a match was perfect. Edge of your seat kind of stuff, Murray is an extremely bad spot and you can’t help but hope for the best knowing full well that isn’t going to happen. The word sniggers really took me out of it for a second, I had to go look it up. Never seen it before, I’d imagine there is a particular reason it’s not used in spoken language so much. The hushed DDK is an excellent touch. Overall, quick deal and gets the UTA strap off of a DEF guy. Good stuff.

MAKING A STATEMENT

Solid Blackwood, post DEFcon, interview. Addressed that situation and fed right into the new stuff. Well done. Blackwoods phonetic affectations stuck out more to me this time than before. Or maybe I’ve even mentioned that in previous feedback and have forgotten. That being said, I now need him to have a running bulldog spot that he shouts ‘d’ya like dags?’ just before leaping forward. On to the surprise attack, I really dug the note of the bandages and tensor tape. This serves as a solid intro to Chris Ross in a night full of intros. The screwdriver was quite the surprise, although I take it isn’t for those more familiar with Chris Ross. I can’t lie, feels a little 90s… but then again Bronson has the spike. Interested to see where this goes.

PARKING LOT COMMOTION
As I read this felt a little PCPish in the beginning, which is fine … although Hayne’s is calling the shots, my no prize explanation could easily be that Skidd Row suggested it, as if Elise and The D rubbed off on him … I’ll just leave that right there. For me, this is the first time Haynes has felt concise and had a good reason for a dumb thing. Good heel shit. I don’t know his history with UTA but, I dug the few lines about it. Toward the end I honestly got a little confused but the “first of it’s kind” line is funny and Hayne’s finishes strong. Good shit.

KK VS. SOLOMON
Helped a little with this and I know where things are going, so I don’t want to go into too much crazy detail with feedback. But I will say, Justin wrote the meat of this and it’s solid match. Nice reintroduction to Kerry K., always glad to see BAF on DEFtv and the Reapers are still at it.

NOTHING CAN GO WRONG
Wrote with Pete, he did the heavy lifting on this one. Enjoy.
MAX BILLABONG VS. LEVI COLE
President Ace in the place. Always fun to read his schtick. Quick start to the match. “Fifty percent stale beer” is funny. Billabong is a savage apparently and chokes the shit of Levi. This entire Ace situation of rotating clients is interesting, especially with Hoyt there next to him the whole time. I’m guessing we’re gonna get Billabong v. Hoyt arc but … the way this one has been going, who knows … Ace may have a new client next week.

A PROPOSAL
Wrote a little on this with Creepy Justin.

ANSWERING THE CALL/BURNS VS. DIGGS
Oscars phrasing is always entertaining, sweet as, guts for garters, and rattle your dags. Oscar trying to tempt the UTA folks but gets Diggs instead. “Rack off” is gold. Bitter heel getting in the way of facey face trying to do the right thing. Good stuff. Leads right into a match, which was super solid. I really thought the PPV would have been the blow off for this but with UTA shaking everything up and no one knowing, I could assume this is set up for something else. Good read.

SILENCE IS THE BEST ANSWER
I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating … As much as I’ve worked with Justin in the past year, big picture wise, I still have no clue where he is taking Reaper. The Reaper Saga has been one of the more intricate storylines since I’ve been here. All that to say, this chick went from yelling and screaming to dead silence/painting Russian on the walls. You never can tell what the hell is going to happen next with her. I’m not a big Johnny Tie Dye fan but thought his use here worked well, brought some levity to a strange Reaper segment that clearly is setting up something larger. It always is with Reaper.

HIGHTOWER VS. MASCARA
Solid Highflyer verse Big Man match. Speed versus power and Masky wants to go fast early on. I can’t really think of anything else to say for this one, it was a good TV match. Easy read and had a realistic feel. MDM4 came off strong but Hightower goes over in the end. Sawyers soaks up the glory. UTA is one fire tonight.

WHY SO SERIOUS
Jack Harmen coming out to say his peace. I dig the little touch of the timekeeper refusing to give a UTA guy a mic. “HI RANDALL,” classic. Lake Placid VI Two, never not funny. Great segment, PCP really showing some fire here against their former trainer. Especially, Elise.

FIGHTING CHAMPS
I’m only vaguely familiar with VWC, mainly threw the last Brazen event when I first stepped in. Maybe they popped up on the main show one other time since then… ? I don’t remember. But that being said, the magnitude of their appearance is sold pretty hard. “ I NEED TO YELL SOME MORE.” Solid segment setting up what I can imagine will be the feud for the rest of the arc. Got over the fighting champ gimmick and quickly got into the meat of the issue. Being that the Bastards are still being a booed, in a climate that is now: DEF = face, for the most part. I’d like to see them do the heelish thing they possibly could, aside from jumping ship. Take up a policy of “non-involvement.” It’s pragmatic for a heel and pure cowardice to the audience. Next card declare the buss a DEF free zone as well. “We’re the swiss, bay bay” or some shit. I think that would bring superheat with an audience who is siding with DEF. Plus a lot of ways for them or some of them to get dragged in and snatch that sweet redemption and/or go full super saiyan heel.

BLACKWOOD VS. ROSS
Blackwood selling the injuries hard. No music for Ross, I dig that in the sense given that they didn’t know the match was happening until that moment maybe. But the didn’t have his music, wouldn’t be a thing since Mikey explained at the top of the show he sneaky sneaked contracts for all these guys over the past few months. That aside, I like that attempted attention to realistic logic. Overall, quick nonmatch. Ross dominates as Blackwood was already injured. The UTA train keeps on rolling.

THE GRAVEYARD
Fall out. A post mortem, if you will. Always like seeing Iris pop up. The ailing and beaten hero's have some words as Zane swoops in for the scoop. Good segment. Dan Ryan popping up was quite the surprise. Way to kick or … just go fuck with a man while he is down. Also sets up the fact there is will be a huge difference in readiness for the main event.

DOUGLAS VS. BRONSON/WE’RE TAKING OVER
Wrote it with Steven,Wil and Evan. Hope you dig it.

FUCK DEFIANCE
Odd segment. The attack I get, given the circumstance of the night. The faux match didn’t sit well with me. Still plenty of places to take it but seems strange without a busted up eagle winged belt being awarded. I don’t know if it was the intention but I did enjoy the humor in “Two Things …” two paragraphs later, which contained many thoughts mostly rotating around one subject, “And the second” Decent segment setting up what I assume will be Stevens/Burns arc but I don’t know if this needed to be so late into the “night.” This could have easily taken place a segment or so after burns original segment. And it would have held more weight. I wouldn’t have to get to the end of it and be reminded; “ohh, yeah Burns called out UTA.”

MURRAY VS. RYAN
I like the “not Cayle” - “I like this version” lines. Given this was non-title, I thought it might go to a finish. Maybe even a semi-fair one. But Hightower in the mix, softening up the FIST. Super quick tv segment, if I was watching in real time and looking at the clock I’d know the fuck finish was in of course, but reading I was semi-suprised. But all in all, UTA really owned the night and what better way to really but them over then the FIST laid out in the middle of the ring.

OVERALL
Pretty long TV, but everyone stuck pretty well to match length. Format was a little off here and there but nothing terrible. And even with the site down, 75 percent of the card was still submitted by the original deadline! So, two thumbs up! Hope to see some heavy participation in Uncut!

Drunkenly typed, not read.

Generally, I thought this was a really good show. There was some repetition with the way the UTA guys debuted, but that can't really be helped, and there were some real spacing issues. That's on us staff, though. Think it's time we started limiting in ring segments, too.

The UTA crew did a good job of fitting in from the get go, though some notable DEFIANCE voices were missing. Bronson Box was uncharacteristically quiet. Also, where the heck was Mushigihara? Dude was coming off the biggest match of his DEFIANCE career and he didn't even show face. Disappointing.

MAKING A STATEMENT
Blackwood’s words make for a solid follow up to the pay-per-view. Nothing too fancy, but he got himself over, and that’s the most important thing. Acknowledging the UTA invasion was smart too. Ross’ arrival was well done, and randomly ambushing Blackwood plays to the feud’s chaotic nature, but the moment definitely needed some commentary to sell what was happening, as it did come off quite flat. I’m glad that Ross kept it brief and didn’t talk himself in circles, too.

PARKING LOT COMMOTION
The bus thing is extremely gimmicky, and I’m not sure what to make of it at the moment. Why do three of the baddest men in DEFIANCE need a safe space from UTA wrestlers? Similarly, what’s stopping 8-10 Utah wrestlers from banding together, outnumbering the security detail, and forcing their way in? They’ve got bouncers, fine, but we’re talking trained wrestlers here. Anyway, I enjoyed that this played on Will Haynes’ history with the Utah guys, which should make for an interesting dynamic throughout the invasion, but I’m not fond of the window dressing.

KERRY KUROYAMA VS. SOLOMON GRENDAL
A decent match, and one that fits the DEFtv writing blueprint. +1 for following instructions, baby. Obviously this is all about the Reapers, who seem to have forged some kind of agreement with Kerry. Looking forward to seeing what comes of that. My one criticism is that the post-match commentary was a tad brief and didn’t really sell the moment.

NOTHING CAN GO WRONG
Very strong buddy-up segment from two decent lads. Good selling of the invasion angle. Impulse’s proactive/reactive spiel was particularly strong, and I like the guys acknowledging that this thing is bigger than individual rivalries too. Exactly the kind of message that should be sent on the first show of this particular arc.

MAX BILLABONG VS. LEVI COLE
An effective first match for Charlie Ace’s new boy. Billabong comes off like a disgusting cretin, not just in his physical appearance, but also with the way he wrestles. Eye gouges and fish-hooks? Gross, lads. I always pop for the “gone too far” DQ finish, too. Solid twist with Hoyt’s intervention at the end, too. Billabong showed a boatload of character in a two-page match, which is quite the skill.

A PROPOSAL
Cool to see Courtney Paz back on television, and I actually had no idea that she was involved with IWF. Very curious as to what her motivations may be. The Douglas/Kerry stuff is a good follow up on Scott’s comments from earlier - the SOHER’s quick departure when KK brings Jessica’s name up is telling. No real complaints here at all.

ANSWERING THE CALL/OSCAR BURNS VS. DANNY DIGGS
Just when you thought Oscar Burns was free of Danny Diggs, here he comes, creeping back into the scene like an unwanted smell. Oscar’s initial promo was well done, and he didn’t come off as a tryhard at all, which would’ve been an easy mistake to make here. He does feel like part of the gang now. Match is typical Seth standard, which is to say it’s very good, and Burns finishes the mini-feud 2-1 on Dirty Diggs. Another good slab of #content with nothing to really complain about.

SILENCE IS THE BEST ANSWER
Justin B is putting in work on this show. The first part is extremely creepy, which I imagine is exactly what you’re going for. Like that Reaper doesn’t give any answers because there’s nothing worse than rushed storytelling. JTD is fun but I have no idea what the fuck he is talking about. “Uber into dope graff!” What is that?! I did myself a Google Translate on the Russian text. I’m sure this is leading somewhere, but I left the segment a bit confuzzled. Still, I’m sure said confuzzling will be cleared before long.

WHY SO SERIOUS?
Jack Harmen is coming through with big banter here. “Sandpaper on the soul” is great, given that he’s coming off a babyface run in UTA. “... acting on my inner impulse. HI RANDALL!” is a tasty slice too. His explanation is good and he doesn't ramble on for too long either. Loved Harmsy pointing out that the PCPs are essentially awful people, too, because it shows there’s more to their face turn than “lol, they good guys now.” Elise stepping up to the plate and speaking up for her and her boys was a really nice, unexpected turn, and it was great to see a member of the PCP show some backbone. Very excited for this feud now. Seg of the night so far.

FIGHTING CHAMPS
Intro is nicely done, with the commentators framing the scene perfectly, and Wildside knocking out a fire first line. There’s a big disconnect with the alignment, though. Wildside comes down and starts cutting a heel promo, but then his boys come off as the sympathetic party in a sneaky-ass beatdown, which the crowd… cheer? I understand none of this, but the segment at least gets the feud rolling on a logistical level.

GAGE BLACKWOOD VS. CHRIS ROSS
I don’t buy for one minute that the crew wouldn’t have Ross’ music given that the UTA guys were signed to contracts long before this show. Nonetheless, the format of this match was refreshing as fuck and very, very effective. I’m constantly bleating on at babyface handlers for not showing enough weakness, so it’s only right that I commend them when they do it well. A great way to get this feud rolling with what is essentially a fancy squash match.

SCOTT DOUGLAS VS. BRONSON BOX
Disappointed not to hear Bronson speak on this show. He’s essentially Mr. DEFIANCE, but he stays silent on the night the UTA cunts start taking over? Weird. Anyway, what’s here is very well done, follows the format well, and plays to both men’s characters, though the transition into the segment came off a little awkward.

WE’RE TAKING OVER
A very good segment here. Kendrix is the perfect guy to ruin a match with a needless distraction, and using it to set up Harvey’s assault/debut is textbook heel stuff. Love that Jay is going after the SOHER right away. Also love that this continues the theme of chaos spread throughout the night. Solid work here, laddies.

FUCK DEFIANCE
More chaos. More random assaults. Is nice. I quite liked Stevens setting up a fucky, faux match to get one over on Burns and the reveal was well done. I have a huge problem with Stevens talking shit on fellow UTA guys in his promo, however. Both sides are supposed to be showing unity, and Stevens verbally bashing Chris Ross undermines that immediately. “FUCK DEFIANCE” is a great call-back to the old HOW stuff, though.

Hello

First off, I want to say that I didn't feedback for DEFcon...cos I was rubbish. Just wanted to say that the show was fantastic, everyone brought their A game and it was a pleasure to be involved in the main event...and I was super stoked to see the beginning of the new arc unfold at the end of the show.

DEFtv89: Really good opening arc show. Was quite long so just gonna go through my highlights and areas I think could be better.

Show opener was great. Mikey gives the lowdown on why and how etc. Perfect Mikey promo. Loved the handing over to Dan Ryan to give his side of the story and he simply responds with "no". Complete rejection of the DEFIANCE faithful with one word.
The Murray's intervene, the two champs calling out Mikey's bullshit but they walk into the inevitable beat down, mikey flexes his muscles and CL picks up the pieces. Perfect start to the UTA invasion guys.

Parking Lot Commotion: Honestly, I like that there's a bus home/new hang out/dressing room location for Haynes and his boys, it's different, maybe a bit gimmicky but I like it. But I don't get why banning the UTA guys from it would a) bother them and b) stop them. Why would the UTA guys care about not being allowed on the bus?! This seg was kind of lost on me but if it's going down the root of building something bigger to unite the DEFIANCE lads against the UTA in the long run of the arc then I'll stand corrected.

Making a Statement: Probably my favourite Chris Ross Seg ever. Been confused over this character over in UTA for a long time. Was originally too wacky and then suddenly had a character shift that was over serious...this is the balance I've been waiting to see from him. Agree with Murr regarding the length of seg, this helped find the balance in my opinion. Good job.

Nothing Can Go Wrong: Like the title...pretty sure something can go wrong. Felt a tad long but the good guys do well to touch on the reaper madness of the last arc, Douglas' title win and the UTA threat coming DEFIANCE's way. Super Duper

A Proposal: Paz is back, chasing the returning Kerry following his successful debut. Bit of banter between he and Douglas. Kerry maybe asks too much referring to Jessica. Intrigued to see where this relationship fits in moving forward. Good job.

Why So Serious: Really liked this seg between Harmen and PCP. Didn't know the history behind these guys so both sides of the story were told brilliantly. PCP are so over as faces now. Love the transition these guys have made from being Mikey and Kendrix's "slaves" in SEG to the lovable albeit, still up themselves', tag team (Klein really helps, he's amazing!) This sets the feud here up and I'm looking forward to more.

Fighting Champs: Liked this, marked out when the Viking lads came out. The Bastards cut a promo, looks like they are wanting to defend those chapionships to further legitimise themselves as champs. I was expecting some stupid jobber twist to step up to them but was delighted with what happened here.

Fuck DEFIANCE: On the whole, this was great and had the continuation from the Oscar Burns/Diggs interaction (btw, I'm reall into the diggs v burns rivalry, consistently good segs from these guys). earlier in the night. Good follow up on this and a big win for Scott Stevens. Stevens comes across like a bad ass in this seg. Liked the go home line. BUT...one big gripe...why did you talk crap about the dibbens and more importantly, Chris Ross?! Same team, dude. UTA are supposed to be on a United Mission. There should be no cracks, especially at this stage of an invasion.

Ryan v Cayle (Non Title): The big match feel to this is ended by a rampaging Hightower. Liked the ruthlessness of the UTA plan behind this one. Non title so they couldn't careless if they lost. This was all about sending a savage message to the champ and the rest of the DEFIANCE locker room. Big opening night for the UTA. So many of their new talent on show for the first time were put over, and in a big way. Looking forward to seeing how DEFIANCE will respond to them all in the next few shows.

Cheers lads!

running down defiance - solid work from mikey. enjoyed the backstory he gave on why uta is here. then those murray boys had to come out and ruin mikey's fun. they get what's coming to 'em though. that leads to mikey having andy defend the wrestleuta heavyweight title after the whooping he got. good for scott. scott has been a workhorse since i've known him and he deserves the big belt.

making a statement - chris ross doing chris ross shit. i could have did without the screwdriver (was it flat, phillips, or a square tip?) part at the end. save that for a match. but this was classic chris ross.

parking lot commotion - man... will haynes does not like uta. i read this a couple of times and it didn't do it for me. the need for "bouncers" should be saved for some chicken shit heel imo. as steve said maybe this is leading to something but it seemed unnecessary and could have been cut way down.

kuro-kuro-kuroyama-lama-ding-dong vs grendal
- not a bad match and the big screen showing hope, im intrigued by what this will lead to.

nothing can go wrong - like murr said a good buddy-buddy segment. i enjoyed impulse's parts in this a lot. the veteran who has seen it all giving his friend advice... to watch his back.

billabong vs cole - short and sweet. i love how the match ended, with cole getting his fingers bitten.

a proposal - from what i've read here it seems like the defiance guys are unifying. that's good to see and courtney's proposal appears to have been denied.

answering the call - i liked diggs' parts. he made me laugh and played the heel very well. loved the parts about burns stealing his moment. this leads into their match and burns gets another victory, giving him the edge in their feud.

silence is the best answer - yeah...

hightower vs muerte- hightower continues to be killing it here in defiance.

why so serious? - a different side of jack harmen than i've been reading since tom came on board with wrestleuta. loved his heel work in this segment. im really looking forward to seeing where tom goes and what he writes. good job guys.

fighting champs - the defiance tag team division is heating up. liked seeing the new champs getting beat down just after winning the belts.

blackwood vs ross - chris ross loves curb stomping people. 717 REPRESENT!

the graveyard - dan ryan getting under the skin of cayle murray. setting up the main event very nicely.

socttdouglas vs bronson box - good match. box is about to murder scott douglas and then...

we're taking over - kendrix comes out, says some british shit and then BOOM! a bald man hits another bald man with a chair. super easy to work with everyone involved. i channeled stevie richards when i wrote out we're taking over.

fuck defiance - stoovins being stoovins. thats a classic stoovins move. thats y we "love" him.

murray vs ryan - ryan knocks murray to the floor and then hightower gets involved causing the dq. uta stands tall as hightower knocks out cayle murray.

RUNNING DOWN DEFIANCE
Great work by Mikey and crew here, The gang assault on the brothers of Murray, then throwing the broken Andy into the monster of WrestleUTA and putting his championship on the line great start to the invasion. I did notice when Andy called out Stevens, I thought to myself why? The last arc of WrestleUTA Stevens turned heel...how is that a surprise he would be on Mikey’s side? One slight typo here, not a big deal given CL’s character, at the moment CL is in his Messiah of Pain personality, not the Perfect Weapon….(which I’ll give new guys a peek at in a uncut segment for this show)

ANDY MURRAY VS. CRIMSON LORD
Crimson fought a tough match but I always knew Andy was never in CL’s league, and now the championship is where it rightfully belongs again ;).

MAKING A STATEMENT
Blackwood, showing the brutal aftermath of DefCon. Meeting a beating by Suplexmiester of Harrisburg Chris Ross. I like how the aftermath of the PPV was continued here, and Ross adding something new to his repertoire a screwdriver. UTA 4 - Life

PARKING LOT COMMOTION
Given Haynes history with the UTA, it was a good format for him to express his feeling toward the company he had a few runs in, but never really felt at home like he does in Defiance.

KK VS. SOLOMON
Decent match, I don’t know a whole lot about the characters involved.

NOTHING CAN GO WRONG
Scott and Impulse discuss what has happened throughout the show so far, nice segment to keep the main story of the show continuing

BILLABONG VS COLE
Interesting set of characters, the whole perspective changing to a Manager/Advocate in Ace being the main focus. Is something I haven't seen much of, it has my interest

A PROPOSAL
Miss. Paz has a offer for Kerry, nice little touch of a little paranoia starting to settle in with Defiance guys, really adds alot of emphasis who exactly can you trust. Again couple of characters gonna take me a few shows to get to know them

ANSWERING THE CALL/BURNS VS. DIGGS
Oscar calling out a UTA guy...we choose when we want to come out not you Oscar! Oscar gets Diggs instead a challenge for the rubber match is made. Oscar doesn’t get what he wants but beats Diggs good write up.

SILENCE IS THE BEST ANSWER
Interesting segment, look forward to checking out more

HIGHTOWER VS. MASCARA
Decent match

WHY SO SERIOUS
Different side to Harmen then I am use to from the UTA, interesting to see where Elisa and Jack go.

FIGHTING CHAMPS
Pretty good segment, looking forward to more from these guys

BLACKWOOD VS. ROSS
Blackwood took another trip down Harrisburg. Guess what it ended badly once again.

THE GRAVEYARD
Poor Cayle he sure has had a bad last couple of shows, and now the newest Team UTA member Ryan pokes at the wounded animal with a wooden stick. Another good segment to keep the main story flowing through the show.

DOUGLAS VS. BRONSON/WE’RE TAKING OVER
The Chosen One interrupts Box Vs Douglas, then we are graced by THE Jay Harvey, and the ratings skyrocketed immediately. Thank you to THE Jay Harvey and JFK for saving everyone from this snoozefest! ...Enjoyed this sequence of events it flowed good and interrupting a pretty good matchup between Box and Douglas made it a even better write up

FUCK DEFIANCE
See Burns we come out when we want, you asked for it and the Texan showed you to watch your tongue. Good conclusion to the earlier segment.

MURRAY VS. RYAN
Cayle just can not catch a break tonight, as now its Hightower joining in with Dan to obliterate the poor champion. Real quick for a Main Event tbh

OVERALL
Bare with me fellas gonna take some time for me to get to know all the Defiance characters. But enjoyed the show, kind of PPV length for a TV show but understandable

Running Down Defiance
I Wrote dis with Murrr. I loved what he did with the second half of it and the attack from the UTAH’s. Good stuff, sets up the next match swimmingly.

Murray vs Lord
Perfect, this was supposed to be a total fuck job and it was, I loved it. Great way to put a lot of serious tone and “oh shit we’re in trouble” to kick off DefTV. Great stuff bois.

Making A Statement
Fuck yes! I loved this bit! Perfect little introduction for Chris Ross, this should be a fun feud if I say so, and a beautiful way to kick it off. Ross needs no more motivation for this than “We’re invading, fuck you” and that’s all it’s about although im sure this will get very personal. Well written, and has me hype.

Parking lot Commotion
So let me understand this… The bastards have hired people, to protect other people, from the bastards? So they are paying the bouncers, to keep themselves in line? This makes no sense to me.

The bus is a UTA Free zone, but I have no understanding on why a UTA guy would WANT to be on the bus, unless we’re looking for a specific someone to beat down and he’s hiding there… Otherwise UTA guys have taken over the DEFplex, and if we can seclude them to an outside trailer, or bus, then I guess we’re winning (we being UTAH). We don’t want the bus, we want the locker room, the building, the fed. The bastards were supposed to be big heels coming into this, but now they have created wrestlings first “Safe Space” outside, where people can’t be bullied. Seems like a big swing, but that can easily be called Brand Loyalty and it make sense.

The execution is done well in this seg, I just think the premise doesn’t have much behind it. I like the mention of old rivalries without spilling into a huge spiel about them individually, and I like the continuity of Haynes from UTA to DEF and wanting to go it alone. Just don’t like the bus gimmick. Will say, this is a spectacular line however:

DDK:
Will Haynes is establishing a UTA Free Zone. What do you think Angus, does this get traction or not?

Angus:
Somehwere where I can go and Mc FUCK ASS can't get to me. Sign me up and send me there tomorrow, if not sooner. But that's just me.

Kerry Kuroyama vs Solomon Grumpy

Maybe I’m a reaper… wait no…. (hahahahaha) This was breif, and very story oriented, Loved it bruv. My interest is piqued by this. I told Justin he lost me when Reaper was revealed as a female…. HOWEVER….. He’s winning me back. Slowly….very slowly I’m getting way into it again.

Nothing Can Go Wrong
Holy shit. This is terrific. Impulse comes off amazingly here as the “tried and true” voice of reason, and Scott Douglas comes off as a confident but naive mindset. This is clearly setting things up later in the night, but I thought this was a pretty stellar seg. Felt very realistic, almost as if the UTA are an afterthought for Douglas.

Max Billabong vs Levi Cole
Hahahaha nice little fun read, excellent story match, I guess Max isn’t the great client that Charlie Ace once thought he would be. This was very entertaining. LOVING Charlie Ace! Hilarious.

A Proposal
Oh Snap, Courtney Paz is back in the fold! Interesting! Kerry is kind of a lost character on me, but hopefully this run i get more into the character. This was a nice interaction between Paz and Kuroyama, and Scott Douglas breaks it up. Loved the question about UTA. EVERYONE is doing great keeping the theme of the show the same. Good stuff here!

Answering The Call
Love the accent on Oscar Burns, as well as the super over the top face antics. Angus is so torn on Burns it’s terrific. This is a nice spin, a guy comes out and issues a challenge to UTAH only for Diggs to come out and say “oi, we’re not done yet…” I like it.

Burns vs Diggs
Very good match, Really enjoyed the new (old, and supposedly great) match layout. This made for a brief but informative read. I didn’t get bored, and enjoyed the schtick, including the greco roman sack tap. Fun tv match, would have liked more after match banter.

Silence Is The Best Answer
Nice reaper seg, the creepiness keeps slowing and keeping you wondering. JTD is friends with the reapers? That’s new.

Hightower vs MDM4
I wrote Dis

Why So Serious?
Hahahahaha Angus premeditating his vandalism to Jack Harmens vehicle, is fantastic. Very good seg, this is a whollllllllle lotta backstory. But it’s a good one. Im already on board for the feud, there were a lot of “low blows” in this exchange, and I can tell it’s going to be good for Tom to have the ultimate creative freedom working with Billy. Excited to see how Jack Harmen, PCP AND KLEIN come out of the other side of the invasion. Love the teacher/pupil motif, and love that even in the invasion we have so many HISTORIES between parties.

Fighting Champs
This was amazing. LOVED The way Jason wrote this seg and had the vikings feel like HUGE stars. Say what you want about Heel/Face alignment here, I think this went swimmingly. If you need someone to play a role, after a long break they can come back as face and or heel. In this feud the Vikings will make great faces, if that’s the entire feud. I wasn’t into the first bastard seg, so i went into this not expecting much, and had my world flipped upside down. Jason put the vikings over big which made this feel much bigger than it should have. LOVED it.

Blackwood vs Kriss Kross
Nice effective one sided match. Gage tried to show heart by coming out after the beating and defending himself, but unfortunately it’s too much. (Love the way Blackwood is slowly winning over the crowd, this guy could be a HUGE babyface in the future. Following the “die hard” model that got Scott Douglas where he is now). Great stuff from both guys, some weird formatting issues, would have liked to see the bell ring a little more clearly cause I missed it the first time, also would have liked to see a pin, i’ve ranted many times on TV knockouts and stoppages. Loved Ross playing up the UTA stuff.

The Graveyard
YASSSSSSS. This is terrific. Murrr is killing the game tonight and selling the FUCK out of this invasion gimmick. This is great! Dan Ryan and Murrr have their first face to face since Dan Ryan turned his back. But they have a match coming up…

Scott Douglas vs Bronson Box

Spikendontitis! Ha! This is a hell of a matchup. The way it reads in a PDF, I had to go back and make sure I didn’t read the finish already and miss it, but I like how it comes right into the JFK moment. Good solid match, B Weezy is getting really good at these TV matches. Bronson Box owns Douglas for most of this before the interruption.

We’re Taking Over - DJ Khaled
Woah, this is super solid work here. Love JFK pemise of showing a new “tenant” around the DEFplex. Hahahaha fantastic stuff. Wait…. We’re not done yet, here comes THE Jay Harvey! YASSSSS! Fantastic Debut. I love how everyone is making their mark tonight, No rest for the wicked. :D

Fuck DEFIANCE
I loved this bit. I see Stevens caught some flak for the Chris Ross/Dibbins mention but as breif as it was, it was almost lost on me completely. The point of the segment was to get to Burns and Stevens worked around the wording used by him in his earlier segment. I loved this. Great work getting something out of the earlier segment, i thought for sure Diggs vs Burns was just a one off to close the book. This should be a lot of fun.

Cayle Murray vs Dan Ryan
Before the entrances, the tone is already set based on previous activity in the night…. Awesome! Loved the attitude from both guys, Murray is a ball of undisciplined fire, and Ryan is cocky, firm, and unwilling to let Cayle control this. Just as this get’s going, it’s over. David Hightower and squad show up and fuck Cayle. OMG what a good show close.

This was probably the biggest heel night ive ever been a part of and I for one could not be happier. Thank you to everyone involved in this, because without everyone on the same page this could have been (should have been) a total shit show with the two feds merging. I think we did pretty spectacular and it showed. I havent been this hype to write in quite some time guys. This is great work, and I look forward to the angle playing out over the coming arcs. Great work, great beef, great schtuff!

Running Down DEFiance

Down and dirty intro, done right with the Mormons in the house. Dug the Mormons in Louisiana? sign. Wonderful heel promo by Mikey, lovely one word response from Asian Daniel Bryan... and the Murray boys interrupt.

It's somehow fitting that they're both the respective company Champions - thus depriving Mikey of potentially his most valuable weapon - the UTA Championship.

Big Murrr vs. Little Crimson

...Nevermind.

We're teased with the idea of Mikey's Champion rebelling, but that's squashed - literally. Surprising but completely expected and 100% effective.

Making a Statement

Straightforward babyface promo from Gage Blackwood, interrupted by The Boss. Did notice a bit of a redundant redundancy:
'The Boss' says as he pulls out his screwdriver from his back pocket.

Ross:
Consider this as a simple message Blackwood… seriously send this to all the boys in the locker room…

Suddenly Ross reaches into his back pocket and pulls out his screwdriver… the same screwdriver he's used numerous times before.

Keep in mind I edit/proofread the shows for formatting errors, not spelling and continuity. Please make sure you're on top of your game, gents.

Parking Lot Commotion

The Magic School Bus, staring the Bastard Sons of Wrestling.

I was a little iffy on this one - I get the idea, but the reasoning and execution make no sense. The idea of a "UTA-FREE ZONE" is interesting, but putting it away from the arena and just around the bus... why would anyone from UTA even go there? I feel like it would make more sense to put this inside the Wrestle-Plex, on the way to the ring or something - and have an immediate confrontation.

For that matter, you've got the DEF Tag Team Champions and their buddy Will Haynes - why would they need extra muscle?

And I dunno... the final words from Keebs and Angus just sort of feel... flat? It reads like they're real people and someone handed them a script and they haven't had a chance to put any emotion into it yet. Not sure if that makes sense or if I can explain it any better.

Kerry Kuroyama vs Solomon Grendel

Solid win for Kerry, but the real story is Reapers, Prime and Red, looking on and doing the things. INTRIGUE~!

Nothing Can Go Wrong

I wrote with BBW

Max Billabong vs Levi Cole

Charlie Ace still looking for his next client, as Levi picks up the DQ win. Wondering when we'll see Hoyt Williams make his move and do the things.

A Proposal

Awkward. Paz and Kerry discussing something of a clandestine nature, and the SoHER interrupts. Something's not quite kosher, and I'm not talking about Levi Cole.

Answering the Call

Much like the opening segment, only in reverse, a decent babyface promo is interrupted by Danny Diggs. However, just as this segment also leads directly into a match, the babyface wasn't jumped before the bell and we get...

Oscar Burns vs Danny Diggs

Not really a fan of the immediate rematch from a major event unless it serves an important storyline purpose - when Mikey/Impulse did it it led directly into the Bruvs/PCP. This match was just another win for Burns and doesn't appear at this point to have a concrete payoff outside of a win. Not knocking it, just saying I don't know if it was needed.

Silence is the Best Answer

Despite the interruption from Johnny Tie Dye, this was my favorite seg of the night. Reapers, Prime and Red, got their point across without saying a word. Aces.

David Hightower vs. MDMA

Loved Angus' confliction here. He should love David Hightower as a bigass shitkicking HOSS, but he's a Mormon and therefore he's terrible. It's the little things like that that make the shows pop for me.

Why So Serious?

This is the way to reference past association without saying it - "acting on my inner impulse. HI RANDALL!" Jack Harmen may be the best character of all time at being a heel and a babyface at the exact same time.

And I never thought the PCP would work as babyfaces...

Fighting Champs

Not really sold on Angus calling Elise Ares the "Leading Lady of DEF" - those wounds run deep.

I'm not sure why these guys are being booed. Earlier in the night they established the UTA-FREE ZONE which implies they're fan favorites since the UTA are currently the heels that DEF is more or less kind of united against, but now the Bastards are being booed for being heels.

I will always mark for the Viking War Cult in any form... but...

What was the purpose of the UTA-FREE ZONE? There was no payoff with this segment and if this seg is a gauge for the rest of the arc, the Bastards will be feuding with the Vikings for the tag titles, thus they are not involved with the UTA feud at all.

It seemed like it was written for the sake of writing a thing, with the UTA contingent being "banned" from a portion of New Orleans that they would never have a reason to go to anyways, only why would they bother since there is no functional tag team amongst them outside of the Bruvs but they are otherwise occupied.

Gage Blackwood vs Chris Ross

Set up earlier in the night, Blackwood appropriately selling his prior injuries.

Good shitkicking in this one. My complaint is that I don't know who won and how.

The Graveyard

Murrays recovering still from the earlier attack; Cayle looks like he's far too emotional to be thinking rationally about his next moves. Interesting interruption from Dan Ryan, and it's ominous that they mention Ryan doing "what's best for DEF." Is he? Nobody knows!

Scott Douglas vs Bronson Box

Unexpected match, and of course it's unexpectedly broken up by THE Jay Harvey. This will not go unanswered.

We're Taking Over

And the Crown Jewel of UTA makes his presence known. I'm a little sad that my Angus nickname for Kendrix, Kendrix McSidekick, never caught on.

Gets things rolling and Jay Harvey is immediately in position to challenge for the SoHER. Good spot for him.

Fuck DEFIANCE

STOOVINS WITH A SURPRISE WIN?!? What's next, Ron Hall not doing the job?

Cayle vs Ryan

Non-starter, as it should be.

Overall, this was a great show. Lots of surprises, lots of dominance by UTA from the start as it needs to be. I really liked how it flowed - too often the shows feel like an unconnected series of segments but this was a SHOW.

Let's do it again next week, lads.

Time for me to get in on this, too. Albeit a little late but whatever... :)

RUNNING DOWN DEFIANCE
Great opening segment. I'm still going back through old shows and catching up, so this was my first current experience with Mikey Unlikely. Love the confidence. I love the Dan Ryan simple "no". He should never give a reason for his actions. He said everything he needed to for the next year or however long the UTA/DEFIANCE battle runs for.

UTA TITLE: ANDY MURRAY (C) VS. CRIMSON LORD
Exactly what needed to be done. Absolutely crush "DEFIANCE" on the highest level possible, even if it's technically one of their own. Then again, Murray is kind of both.

MAKING A STATEMENT
Obviously Chris and I did this. If I knew what had just happened before, I probably would've played into it a bit more and kept the intensity/concern even higher from Blackwood. But I think the intensity was met with the screw driver shot. I like Chris' addition. Maybe it's something that can be saved for a match, but it's such an extreme coming off Andy losing his title that I liked it. Pete's comment is noted about better editing our work. It was late, I was tired. That shit's on me. :)

PARKING LOT COMMOTION
I like the idea of a UTA Free Zone. Perhaps it moves around, as the extra security can provide a "safe haven" for everyone. That is, until it's challenged by the UTA.

KERRY KUROYAMA VS. SOLOMON GRENDAL
As I slowly work my way through the past year's worth of shows, I love all the Reaper stuff so I'm a Reaper fanboy. One day I hope there are enough Reaper's to represent the Power Rangers. Then Reaper Green should turn into Reaper White and go from there. Anyway, I like how Kuroyama was depicted, as someone the fans really don't remember. Also, this is the perfect "low key" match to follow Murray losing the title. I look forward to seeing where this goes.

NOTHING CAN GO WRONG
Loved the line "at least she's spreading the evil out a little". I like the dynamic between Douglas and Impulse. However, with the UTA invasion looming, I'm skeptical how long ties can last. Anyway, really good interaction and it ties together Kuroyama as well. The invasion storyline is key, but I definitely like the idea of it being more complex, too. Not only do you have UTA to look out for, but obvious DEFIANCE "in house" stuff as well and the directions are endless.

MAX BILLABONG VS. LEVI COLE
More Max Billabong. The biting of the head was great. I really enjoyed this and it was a good "break" from UTA vs. DEFIANCE.

A PROPOSAL
Just building from the earlier segment with Douglas and match with Kerry. A small and simple inaction on all fronts that works well.

ANSWERING THE CALL
I suggest Seth adopt Danny Diggs as his second character. I think this works as a double-edged sword. In one way, I don't need to see Diggs vs. Burns again. In another way, it makes perfect sense for Diggs to want another match.

OSCAR BURNS VS. DANNY DIGGS
Well written, good fight. The only feedback I can give is something Murr wrote for my previous segment and adding a few lines of commentary in at times. I am beginning to become more comfortable writing the dynamic between DDK and Angus, though I'm nowhere close to where others are.

SILENCE IS THE BEST ANSWER
I like the no talking, how Reaper Red is just focused on the painting the entire time and how the Russian words were given at the very end of the segment. Using Lance as the catalyst works well here. It also makes sense he's jumpy because even though it wasn't known in this segment, he was a part of the Chris Ross attack beforehand.

DAVID HIGHTOWER VS. MASCARA DE MUERTE IV
Mikey, more Sawyers mouthing off from outside the ring! The signing of the letters is great. Very nWo-like. I see Mikey Unlikely as a great UTA leader, but an unreal secondary leader could be Sawyers. Regardless, a great win for Hightower. A monster who's completely recovered from DEFCON (which is good). Blackwood still has lots of bruises. :)

WHY SO SERIOUS?
I marked at the line "I am a member... of the United Toughness Alliance". Just comes across so well, not to mention he's a legend. An introduction where one isn't needed but it's still done. Unlike Dan Ryan, there's also an explanation here. Makes complete sense and it's an easy story to tell. Loved the shots at Klein, how Harmen gives them the "victory". This segment was excellent. In a show that's really good this is my favorite part so far. I already told Tom I love PCP and I also love The D. His reply was to be careful who I say that too. Good advice.

FIGHTING CHAMPS
Some great lines in this one as well. However, I take exception to the fact the Minnesota Vikings are shit. They're great! Long live Sam Bradford! SKOL! Interesting to see an attack by DEFIANCE guys, though. Also cool to see the Trio Tag Titles. Unification one day?

GAGE BLACKWOOD VS. CHRIS ROSS
Poor Gage. Guy just keeps getting his ass kicked. Love the Curb Stomp finisher and I with Seth Rollins still had that.

THE GRAVEYARD
Perfect name for this segment, perfect place for this segment too. The way Dan Ryan comes across is great. Short, strong interaction. The image of a unconscious Andy Murray is stuck in my head.

SOHER TITLE: SCOTT DOUGLAS (C) VS. BRONSON BOX
Good for what it was until the interruption. I love how Bronson Box reads as I go through the match. So angry, frustrated and full of spite. Poor guy needs a hug. Where's Bayley?

WE'RE TAKING OVER
So many things at play in this segment. First, another UTA beat down. Douglas now has THE Jay Harvey after him, Bronson Box still on retribution, the Reapers always pending, the relationship with Kerry Kuroyama, oh and Impulse is around too and will one day get his title shot. So many directions this can go in and lots of things intertwined, which is great. Credit for tying together so many things.

FUCK DEFIANCE
I know it's been reiterated in other feedback comments, but this show comes across great. It's all hectic UTA mayhem. From beating after beating after beating. The perfect way to establish UTA as a dominant force. Add on a fake victory here too. Scott Stevens (not the hockey player), Jay Harvey, Chris Ross, Crimson Lord, etc, etc, all come across as real SOB's.

CAYLE MURRAY VS. DAN RYAN
My only issue here would be this is a borderline PPV match right now or a match that could be built towards/announced for a show in advance. However, given the shock at the top of the show something has to follow this up and it's well explained by DDK and Angus this is a PPV-caliber match. The surprising interference by David Hightower works well and it happens early on, too, so a TRUE Cayle Murray vs. Dan Ryan match can one day take place.

OVERALL
Best show I've been a part of so far. The goal was to get UTA over and they are over. Hopefully, this can be a month-long statement by UTA with a few small victories here and there for DEFIANCE. More outnumbering, more beat downs, more UTA dominance until DEFIANCE can get their shit together and get on a (not the, but a) same page. The template of WWE vs. NXT is the way I see it... though much more drawn out.

BONUS UNCUT 29 FEEDBACK

LAST CALL
Wrote this with a bunch of clowns. It was fun and we should definitely do this again. Maybe not the next Uncut, but definitely one more before MAX DEF.

NO SMOKING
Great shot at Terry by Douglas, lol. As I mentioned Douglas is intertwined with a lot of people right now, which is good because I have no idea where it will go. I see Douglas drinks so he will have to join the Last Call crew next time.

SOOTHING THE WILD BEAST
Great depiction of Max Billabong again. I love how he came off. There's a lot of material which could stretch over numerous arcs of him trying to become a part of "wrestling society". The segment builds to what was a good match from DEFtv. Having some things shy away from UTA is probably a good thing here and there.

WE
Good character building for Crimson Lord. Maybe I took this segment the wrong way but it hints at some tension with Crimson Lord and the UTA (by not "celebrating"). That or the fact he's just very different, clearly. I love the party scene Mikey is hosting for the UTA. I like it so much I think it should be a segment on its own at the start of a DEFtv or even another Uncut. We had some beaten down DEFIANCE faces drinking outside. We should see some UTA heels doing blow off strippers and getting smashed while they celebrate. I'm sure there will be time to do it. Looks like UTA will be kicking ass for a while. lol.

FIRST HAND TESTIMONY
A good segment to end the show. Complete mystery and not directed at UTA.

The Open, She is Cold.
This was written so well, I could visualize everything that was happening here just fine. Love the description and the “attitude” of the whole deal. Bronson box says DEF’s been through worse, and he’s not getting involved. Murray understands the threat that is WrestleUTA. We’ve got some Team DEF guys!

Run Down:
This rundown is spectacular, it kicks off with the Beatsy Boys. and Then goes into some awesome signage “WrestleUTAids” OMG! Then into some feels. Loved this little bit.

The Clash:
Wrote this with Big Murrrsif.

Nigel King vs Kerry Kuroyama
This was a fun match, I think Kerry needs somethign to set himself apart from the rest of the pack. Right now he feels like he’s in an angle, but he feels like Generic Vanilla guy #2. He needs to find his voice and give me something to get behind because right now i’m just confused and half reading the matches to find out what happens in the end. This was an enjoyable match, with some good spots (jackhammer!), but I want moar. Interesting Dynamic with the reapers. Feels very Undertaker Ministry.

Paperwork:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHA This was amazing. I laughed out loud a number of times with this at my work cubicle. Great stuff Damien, Charlie Ace might be my new favorite character. Max Billabong was too beautiful for this world! Charlies not having much luck here, and that “Go seek employment with UTA” line….fucking killer! YAS! Great segment!

Frosting Is Thicker Than Blood (5 Star Title)
“Have a cupcake and please stop attacking us” Hahahahahahaha. This is a great show. Harmen and cally run into each other, apparently the first time in quite awhile. This was a great gimmick. Cally is the perfect character for this type of falderal. Friendly yet confusing encounter.

Scott Stevens vs Davis Bloom
Good Match here, Stevens shows off some of his offense against the Brazen guy. Nice job on the formatting, not sure if Stevens did all that but if so, great job! This was a good TV match, and the promos after were very believable. I like this feud. Stevens is such a dick. I think he’s finding his niche more lately than he did in UTA. I love this version of Stevens, and how can you not cheer for Burns? KIWI!

The Perfect Plan
This is the DEFtv Comedy hour apparently. Another banger. Love this. Klein seems to be getting sick of the shit and the daydreaming, he snaps the duo back to reality before they end up dubbing him the hero of the movie. I love that they liken everything to different movies and plots. Im super stoked for this feud moving forward, this will be the one that makes us laugh the most. I have no doubt.

Thrown Under The Bus
Wrote this….

The Bruvs vs The Buses.
I wrote this with Stevie. It was decided that The Bruvs would win the tag titles after Jason did the most passive aggressive quitting of all time. This gives more credence to the Invasion, as they now hold DEF gold.

If You Call
I enjoyed this segment from Gage Blackwood, he’s a very good babyface character. The only thing I would mention is cut back on the slang just a little bit, if it’s too much and becomes to hard to read, it’s no longer fun. I could read this, but it’s on the border. Gage is in good shape as far as the babyfaces go for DEF and he’s getting more established all the time. Good stuff.

Nickyi Sinz vs Thomas Slaine
Very good match, A little on the longer side I believe based on what we’re trying to do with short matches. I’m confused however as I’ve never heard of these guys, and there was no angle just a match. I’m sure it’s leading somewhere however. Good Debut for Sinz.

I will answer!
GREAT Follow up seg. Gage Blackwood finds the only passive aggressive member of the UTA roster, the only good one, and attacks him! I love it, retaliation! Like the gimmick Lisil is going with too “I will beat de best in de ring”. YES!

Mushigahara vs Oscar Burns

Flippy Do vs The God Beast, that’s an interesting matchup! Power wins early on, before Oscar gets some good stuff in. Very even match up, very close one. I really liked this match. MUSHI is starting to show face tendencies which I am a fan of. Team DEFIANCE will need him.

AND STILL….
YES YES YES! Love this gimmick! Stevens is killing it for me right now. Love the “another win over Oscar Burns” gimmick. I mean burns did challenge him earlier! Stevens is becoming the guy you have to watch what you say around. GREAT STUFF. Burns should be HOT as hell after this one.

WRESTLEUTA’s Crown Jewel
GREAT HEELING. Loved when Crimson gets Lance Warner outta there and brings in his own guy. Laver was used in the last run in UTA and the continuity is great to see. Loved the “more” when the fans boo’d. Loved the history lesson. Loved the “Im going to break my old record” bit. Great stuff Scott!

Jay Harvey vs Scott Douglas!

YES YES YES! This was a PERFECT summary match! This is the length we should be aiming for. I was way into this one from the time I started it to the time I finished. Never bored. And Surprised that the ending came from “out of nowhere”. Love the matchup between Harvey and Douglas. That’s a great feud rite dere. This was a humdinger (I’m bringing that word back). Loved the interference and the feel that this one has so much further to go.

Infighting Innit!?
WOAH. This was top notch. I saw an earlier version of this and it’s changed quite a bit in the last few days. GREAT PROMO from JFK. GREAT ANGLE from BOXER and Hoffman on Scott Douglas. JFK put doubt into the back of the mind of every DEFIANCE wrestler, and fan with this one. This is gold. Crimson Lord and Harvey starting a fracas, only to bounce out and let DEFIANCE fight DEFIANCE… Even I couldn’t come up with that. Top notch idea gents. This got me super hype for the angle again.

This Is Huge….

I wrote dis.

Jack Harmen vs PCP
“And this week too!” Angus is the best! This is hilarious. It runs very long but it’s a gauntlet match so you essentially had to fit three matches in one. Ill give the pass this time. Very entertaining throughout. Loved Angus all the way through “I don’t have a UTAH driver's license keebs!” Lots of fun, loved the finish the old eddie guerrero special! Elise takes the unlikely win! Great great writing guys.

Another Proposal
YESSSSSS. Great use of Paz, excited to see her back and you using her as a “familiar face” Love how everyone is concerned with who is representing who… that’s good stuff. Not sure where this is going but a very well written seg that gives a lot of intrigue.

David Hightower vs Andy Murray

Wrote Dis with Murrrsif.

My God…
This was great! Murrr wrote this, and did a fantastic fucking job. He paints Hightower as one of the biggest and baddest around and it works! Good stuff, and I hope you guys enjoy what we’re doing!

Crimson Lord vs Bronson Box
Very good match. This FELT like a pay per view match. Good job with everything here Scott. I know you worked hard on this one, I think you did a good job of capturing the essence of Bronson Box, and you hyped the shit out of him. This was a good story telling match, now maybe after this Box can see the UTA threat that stands in front of him.

Great show boys. Two weeks in a row we’ve WRECKED it as far as participation goes. GREAT WORK. Loving what we got rolling!

COLD OPEN
Murr killed this! Fantastic open. Scott is in here but I wrote zero words. It’s short and sweet but serves it’s purpose and with or without Box, DEF isn’t going down without a fight. I feel if I was watching this it would be incredibly exciting and suck you into the show instantly. You can almost hear the war drums banging as you read the walk. And/or Goldberg’s theme. Bong. Bong.

RUNDOWN
Wrote it. Dat Bus Tho.

THE CLASH

Same as the open, Murr and Mikey really knocked this out of the park. When the doc was shared I think I only saw the first half and so reading it “live” was exciting. Love the little piece of business for Scott with the rope deal. Although the beef has long been jumped off, this feels like the moment in a medieval movie where the two leaders meet out in the center of the battlefield for one last attempt at squashing it - which of course never goes down that way. Hell of a kick off to the show. Solid three segment continuity as well.

KING VS KK
I was a big fan of Kerry in IWF, although I understand he never made a very big splash here in DEFIANCE. I attempted to go back and read some of his and Rocko’s stuff here but never have completed that. But even though he is clearly wrapped up in something Reapery, I like his starting from the bottom approach. It’s definitely something that character would do, as far as I know that character to be. But via Uncut’s leading into DEFCON, we know he has ties to Reaper Prime/Jessica. Last week Scott was supposed to warn him but was caught off guard by Paz’s appearance and more so by Kerry’s mention of some old shit. I think Scott is pretty good proof that Justin and his Reapers are babyface makers and depending on how this one all shakes out in the end Kerry could be a strong face for DEF.

PAPERWORK
I don’t know if it was intended but I just picked up on the similarity of Trump constantly having his admin folks resigning and Ace’s rotating cast of talent or lack thereof. Either way solid segment. I love the framing device of picking apart the letter. Now, I don’t know Eric Dane’s character enough to know if a letter is something he would send or that well written but I have to assume so, or at the very least he would dictate it to an assistant maybe. I don’t know, via my ignorance it sells. Also really dug the mouth moving while reading detail. Great tie in with the UTA stuff as well.

FROSTING IS THICKER THAN BLOOD

The sign, the cupcakes, the Bugs/Daffy routine. Super solid segment. Cally is always good for a quirky moment and a laugh. Plus it’s more DEF/UTA world building stuffs with a historical reunion as well. Can’t beat it.

STEVENS VS BLOOM
Some minor spacing issues and a typo or two but overall solid format and a solid match. I re-read several times and never could make this line make sense to me “DDK:
Depends on who’s looking.” maybe I’m reading it wrong. If not doesn’t feel like something DDK would say. All extreme minor gripes, overall good TV match debuting Stevens. The promo was solid too. “Scott Stoovins or Scoot Stevens or Skeet Ulrich” … that escalated quickly. I like the crowd involvement, that's something I commonly forget to utilize but refer to the match writing doc, no need for the “Crowd:” tag. Felt like this lost steam toward the end. Less a confrontation between the two and just the Stevens show, which is fine to put him over and get the heat but it just ends … He exits via crowd with a mass of security that appeared out of thin air and there is no aftermath. No mention of Burns, no commentary on what just happened. All in all, this is solid and even though I wasn’t that into the sham match last week I like where this is going but I feel like what was a good thing petered out in the end. Also “dark match filler” I don’t hate but I don’t love - but hey from what I hear this is the era of breaking the fourth wall, eh?

THE PP
Box Magic Contamination, holy shit. I was really into the segment. Very humorous and sets up the whole Harmen/PCP thing even more … but then the rabbit? What the hell? LOL Did I miss something? I REALLY wish this had some commentary. I would LOVE to hear Angus’ thoughts on this deep in thought bowtied rabbit! As crazy as PCP segments would look in real life I think the banter would come across as genuine and be as entertaining as it is to read. That rabbit though …

THROWN UNDER A BUS/TAG MATCH
Music didn’t get centered on this one. Some reason the title of the match was still Vikings. Small things. Promo was great, match was solid and Mikey and Steven are owed much credit here in that they could have really made Jason’s (IMO) incredibly underdeveloped charecters look like shti here but they kept true to their characters and took the titles on some screweyness. Plus they pulled two solid TV segments out of the ass at the last minute! End of the day, Jason missing the bus worked out because UTA taking the titles is a nice chunk taken out of DEFIANCE’s armor. Better than what we would’ve booked, honestly.

IF YOU CALL
I can’t wait for the inevitable Scottish patwa brawl between Box and Blackwood! No, I liked this segment. When they slang gets stupid heavy at the end, the Angus translation plays. I’d have to agree with Mikey’s beef though, this one is on the border. Thinking about it I’m having flashbacks of having to read Erik Mateo outloud in IWF. Anyway, great fiery segment. Blackwood is quickly becoming a strong character in DEF, I hope he emerges from this Invasion stuff as a solid player.

NICKY SYNZ VS. THOMAS SLAINE
Who? Decent match, maybe on false finish too many for relatively unknown BRAZEN guys but solid. Don’t know where or how this fits in with anyones deal but we’ll see. I do think though this match should’ve been higher on the card. Possibly even the show opener considering Kerry is main roster and returned last week and The Guns of brixton have popped up on TV a few more times then these two… to my knowledge. Regardless, well written match.

...I WILL ANSWER
This was written well enough, no complaints there. I just don’t care for the angle of it. My time in DEF, it’s been preached hard: the face is face the heel is … you get it. And Blackwood is the face here - no matter how nice and fair play Lisil is - for Blackwood to make the attack, it's a bit of a role reversal which I think I could stomach if Lisil didn’t end up just getting the best of him in the end. And the argument could be made he kicked Blockwood while security was pulling him back, which is heelish - except Blackwood prompted the whole thing. I get we need to find ways to introduce these characters without everything being the same but this one just didn’t work for me.

MUSHIGIHARA VS. OSCAR BURNS
Solid match. Burns gives his all against Mushi and earns his respect in the end. As fun as it is to see DEF folks coming together, I can’t wait to see it all fall apart in an instant when this is all over. I like Burns and haven’t seen anything I’ve hated yet. Mushi was missing from the last show if I recall correctly (yet lazily enough not to go check) so good to see him back and some camaraderie and sportsmanship. On a show this long, maybe this could have gone to Uncut. Maybe not, maybe it's playing into something much larger.

AND STILL …
I kind of shitted on this last week … and I’m not going back on that … BUT I like this much better. The ref is already there, and not having to act as a ring announcer slash beat box timekeeper. This played for me. And given, last week was a set-up for this - I don’t hate it as much. The two together lol I still stand behind my opinion of last week by itself. BUT this is episodic “TV” and it’s not an isolated incident so nice work.

WRESTLEUTA'S CROWN JEWEL
Solid in ring. Helps sell the UTA title to those of us not familiar. There was some mention of what's to come later but I don’t feel like this was intending to sell the Box match - as much as it was that angle. That being said I feel likes this could have been on Uncut. Even as a in-ring … it could have been before DEFtv went live or whatever. All that aside, good segment.

HARVEY VS DOUGLAS/INFIGHTING, INNIT?
Wrote this with Will and Stevie. A Lot of moving parts before that JFK promo, hope it comes off alright.

THIS IS HUGE…
Short and to the point. Builds to the match. I dig it.

JACK HARMEN VS. THE PCPS
“Why are we even filming anything involving the UTA locker room!? Did they bring their own camera crew or something?!” Great line and DDK’s answer wraps up a potential logic hole, although they are signed and contracted DEF wrestlers - the way they are representing themselves as a separate entity, I like this was addressed. Especially in a quick, off the cuff, understated way. Angus in this made me do one of those laughs were it’s kind of a chuckle under your breath and then as you mindlessly read the next line, retaining none of it, the laugh line is still in your head and you laugh out loud. Then you realize you look like a psycho laughing all alone and your dog is looking at you judgingly … and then you stop reading to go and try to articulate how that sequence of events went down only to realize your a little drunk and you were supposed to knock out the runsheet for next week but this card is crazy long. And Special K is out, man he can’t hold onto that box any lately. He must not have his midichlorian straps. I liked the “NOTH-ING HAPP-ENED” chant. Don’t think I’ve ever heard that one. It does raise the whose the heel question though, with Elise cheating. Elise pulls out the win. Super long for TV but it was three on one.

ANOTHER PROPOSAL
Assisted with this but Justin is the mastermind of greatness.

DAVID HIGHTOWER VS. ANDY MURRAY
Very quick match. Alot of good action but it read very quick. The elder Murray falls to Hightower and now he gets a shot at Cayle. With such a long card I appreciate this one getting to the point quickly to service what it’s intended to.

MY GOD…
“Hightower is tough and shit” Great fall out. Hightower comes out of this looking like every bit of a beast and Cayle’s reign at the top is looking short like leprechauns. Hell of a segment.

WRESTLEUTA TITLE: CRIMSON LORD (C) VS. BRONSON BOX
Solid main event. I have to say some of the thunder was definitely stolen from this by the Hightower/Murray deal just before it but the implications of this one will certainly echo into next week. If not other, Box’s biggest motivator seems to be bitter anger and hate filled rage - Crimson Lord just knocked on that door and may have inadvertently aligned Box with the Militia.

OVERALL
LONG! Jesus this is long for TV. I think segment and match length on average was fine but damnit there were a lot of segments and matches. I think it should be strongly considered to have a “dark hour” of DEFtv, that could air on UNCUT, if participation continues to be the great. That being said can’t argue with results. A really good show and everyone was super on time and ready to go with their stuff. I hope this continues over into UNCUT this week and everyone takes advantage of that incredible platform - I think last week had 4 segments and then this show had 23. Uncut stuffs CAN be during the show as well. You may not get feedback on it but let's be honest … although it’s picked up most of you aren’t doing a beef anyway. Can’t expect one if you are doing one.

Anyway, great job everyone and I hope it continues. Any complaint I register here is small stuff really, overall it was all good shit - I mean hell, none of you wrote a bus segment so there is that.

Typed, not read.

BONUS UNCUT 29 FEEDBACK

LAST CALL
Gage enjoying a beer with Owens, just trying to destress from the UTA running roughshot all over them. Enjoyed it, good way to tell the fans they have lives outside of that squared circle. Although Reaper’s really didn’t have any real point in this. Granted they explained it but it was like they walked out into the middle of the street and just stood there...um ok

NO SMOKING
Terry has Jay Harvey on the Brain, and Scott annoys the doctor because of it. Nice little write up here.

SOOTHING THE WILD BEAST
Trying to calm this lunatic down, only for the security to piss him off again, Ace just can not catch a break.

WE
My stuff, just a tidbit more on Crimson Lord he is nothing like Kendrix, or Mikey. He is not a party goer, he is all business.

FIRST HAND TESTIMONY
Get some backstory on Daniel Norris, who appears to have a surprise for the UTA ya got my interest.

COLD OPEN
So it seems my UTA Brethren struck a nerve huh. Seems Defiance is trying to get on the same page ….but Box and Hofman not so much. Good opener here Defiance is out for vengeance.

THE CLASH
Defiance will not go down without a fight, good back and forth, and a nice booked match for later in the evening David vs Andy, with a reasonable stip for both parties.

KING VS KK
Good write up

PAPERWORK
Well put together segment here, giving us UTA guys who have not been in Defiance a small taste of Defiance E. Dane. With a nice tie in to the main story of the arc perfect.

FROSTING IS THICKER THAN BLOOD
Thoroughly enjoyed this one by Harmen and Cally

STEVENS VS BLOOM
Have to agree with mikey here Stevens definitely is more interesting in Defiance then he has been in UTA keep it up bud

THE PP
Bit more backstory between PCP and Harmen, decent segment

THROWN UNDER A BUS/TAG MATCH
Wow, interesting sequences of events leading into a tag match, guess Haynes can get on his bus and take a hike now. Thats right you Defiance fools The Hollywood Bruvs bring home more gold for the WrestleUTA. Great set up and match

IF YOU CALL
Apparently Mikey needs to have a talk with Chris, on why he still has not finished his job yet! Gage showing a lot of heart here, can definitely see him on the rise in the future as well

NICKY SYNZ VS. THOMAS SLAINE
Nice write up

...I WILL ANSWER
Not exactly how I would see Lisil introducing himself to Defiance, Gage did come off more of a heel then a baby considering his earlier segment. I can see both their viewpoints in writing this whoever is UTA is a enemy. But maybe something more mellow not revealing Lisil as part of the UTA, only for Gage to somehow find out somehow IDK just shooting from the hip. Just felt this could of been handle another way.

MUSHIGIHARA VS. OSCAR BURNS
Good match, Mushi takes it with a show of good sportsmanship

AND STILL …
Boy Stevens is holding Oscar to that “anywhere and anytime” speech, and what a delight it was to see him once again beat Oscar to within an inch of his miserable life! This was a good continuance of two weeks ago. Especially having the announcers wonder where everyone is to help Burns.

HARVEY VS DOUGLAS/INFIGHTING, INNIT?
Boy Box and Hoffman sure have some bad blood when it comes to Douglas and Impulse. Honestly JFK not even speaking and just having JFK, CL, Harvey, and Catalina just watch Defiance kill themselves would of worked as well.

THIS IS HUGE…
Jamie getting a little overzealous here, and Mikey quickly putting him in his place.

JACK HARMEN VS. THE PCPS
I agree with previous response pretty long for a tv match, but still trying to get into PCP though. The write up was well done and kept me reading.

ANOTHER PROPOSAL
This is almost sounding like a LWO forming (only their not latino) amongst the war between UTA and Defiance

DAVID HIGHTOWER VS. ANDY MURRAY
Andy puts up a good fight but, Hightower just is too much for the battered scot, decent write up.

MY GOD…
Hightower my monster in arms, jesus did he take this little militia (what's left of them) and finish them off tonight. Cayle has a huge challenge ahead of him now

WRESTLEUTA TITLE: CRIMSON LORD (C) VS. BRONSON BOX
Hopefully I did Box justice here

THE COLD, SHE IS OPEN
Bronson Box had to say no here, obviously. Awesome visual of everyone walking together before the actual open. Really marked for this. Unless I missed it, I was wondering what brought Mushigihara to the team right away. But not everyone can be resistant to join or that would get repetitive. I'm reminded of X-Men First Class for some reason when Xaiver and Magneto go recruiting mutants and Wolverine just says "fuck off" before they open their mouth, but obviously this can't be played for laughs here. Great opening.

THE RUNDOWN
Typical opening banter.

THE CLASH
Good set-up and follow-up from the opening. Good to see Mikey crack, just a little. But he's got everything under control for now lol. Not much to add. It's reasonably academic where things will go later tonight, but it only sets up for interesting outcomes later on.

KERRY KUROYAMA vs. NIGEL KING
Good, basic match to build Kuroyama and have the Reapers show again. I like the mention of BRAZEN being inserted into this UTA vs. DEFIANCE battle, even if it's just a one-off comment. At least it's been acknowledged. I think this is something that can be explored at a later time too, though I know it wasn't the focus of this match. Short appearance overall by the Reapers on this show.

PAPERWORK
I like the idea of this segment, I'm just wondering how it ties in to the whole UTA/DEFIANCE aspect. I could argue DEFIANCE wrestlers were left in the ring at a far worse shape and would warrant more action against them. To me, DEFIANCE is in a state of war by any means necessary so it's anything goes right now. Albeit, Max Billabong channels his inner Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson way of wrestling, so I can understand Dane's concern. Taking a shot at "joining the UTA" makes this segment fit in with the overall story lines. Also I want Max Billabong back.

FROSTING IS THICKER THAN BLOOD
Welcome WrestleUTA Refugees. LOL. The only thing I'd say here is I want to believe Harmen is actually evil. This leaves a bit of doubt in my head and I didn't want that! Great segment and idea with the cupcakes. I laughed when I read the opening lines.

SCOTT STEVENS vs. DAVIS BLOOME
I love the #FUCKDEFIANCE shirt. There are a few sentences that get a little repetitive, which I know is something I struggle with at times such as "DDK: The crowd tonight is clearly showing who they are not fond of here tonight.", saying "tonight" twice. I catch myself doing this the odd time, primarily when I make edits to what I've written. Otherwise, Scott Stevens came off well. I like that while he was initially distracted, he came back and won the match. If this was WWE, this would never happen and Stevens would already be booked like an idiot lol. Glad that's not the case. Stevens saying he has bigger things to look at, such as the FIST, makes sense with his character but right now Hightower would have his eyes set there. My only other comment would be to make this after-match part a segment with an official title.

THE PERFECT PLAN
lol. Very entertaining. How will they overcome their mentor? I liked the mention of the long internal dialog, too. Once they overcome Harmen, I want PCP to go back to the tag titles.

THROWN UNDER THE BUS
"What are they doing over in UTAH? Inbreeding?" lol. I was a little confused about the Dibbins Brothers being UTA and leaving the ring for a fight followed by the Hollywood Bruvs (who are also obviously UTA) but maybe this was coordinated between them? In my limited time here, Kendrix has come across as a star to me and Mikey told me Mikey Unlikely wouldn't be wrestling, so to see this transpire was really cool. Given the circumstances things changed but this was a great path to take. Wrestle UTA should absolutely crush DEFIANCE and hold all the titles. Another step in the right direction. However, this did make the Viking War Cult appearance last week seem uneventful.

THE BASTARDS vs. THE HOLLYWOOD BRUVS
There needs to be a huge motherfucking cold open celebration on the next DEFtv because UTA is killing it. Perfect "surprise" on this show, following last week. And I feel like more is coming. Mikey is a talented writer when it comes to putting together dick-less, arrogant/delusional heels (I mean this in a nice way lol). See: Unlikely and Sawyers. The bus comment, heel heat right there.

IF YOU CALL...
Noted on the feedback, boys. I'm just trying to see what sticks. Trial and error period as I find my way with Blackwood. I don't plan to drop the accent completely, but it will be used seldomly from now on to get certain spots and emotions over.

NICKY SYNZ vs. THOMAS SLAINE
Well written match. I second the comment of where this could have gone. Perhaps even on Uncut as it seems a little out of place here and Uncut is this great platform that should be used more now with the cards becoming very big. Again, the match itself was good.

...I WILL ANSWER
Noted on the feedback again. I actually don't mind angles where the lines of black and white, in terms of faces and heels are more grey. Anyone in DEFIANCE is evil! Might as well hit them first. :)

MUSHIGIHARA vs. OSCAR BURNS
The opening line made me buy into what was happening. "Why are these guys fighting each other?" that's what I said too when I read the title, but calling it out made me nod my head and follow along. That said, I think Mushi should have joined the DEFIANCE Fight Team (for lack of a better term) after this match. Very well written. Nothing else to say other than that.

AND STILL...
I like how it's written, the crowd knew something was wrong... then you explain Scott Stevens is there. I like how e-wrestling can really convey the perception of the wrestler, instead of what everyone else sees first. The Stevens attack is brilliant. The "win" over Burns is brilliant too. Makes perfect sense to me. Real prick move by Stevens. This is WCW's Chris Jericho beating Goldberg on numerous occasions but actually doing it (while still not doing it, lol).

WRESTLEUTA'S CROWN JEWEL
I liked how Lance Warner stood up for DEFIANCE. Everyone in DFE should be on the same page. Crimson comes across well. Just the simple "more" upon booing is really well done. For someone with a lot of short, concise sentences, Crimson Lord makes his points loud and clear.

SOHER: SCOTT DOUGLAS (C) vs. THE JAY HARVEY
At first, I say to myself put this on the PPV but it only makes sense to do this here given the titles that have already switched hands. Also, I had convinced myself the title was changing here, even though typical wrestling knowledge would say otherwise. Surprisingly, I did not see Bronson Box running in. Works for me. Great stuff. Box actually "saving" the title for DEFIANCE. Though that's certainly not the reason he got his revenge...

IN-FIGHTING INNIT?
Well, shit. I thought Harvey would be able to knock them both out and that's it. However, a brawl takes place. Good clusterfuck fight. Incredible line by Kendrix "Kendrix: THIS RIGHT HERE... IS TRULY... THE FUTURE... OF YOUR COMPANY! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THIS... IS... DEFIANCE!" Bloody perfect. This is show-ending segment worthy stuff right here.

THE IS HUGE...
There's a lot to like right now in DEFIANCE. Mikey Unlikely and Jamie Sawyers have to be right there. At first, I figured both with be delusional idiots but Mikey's serious tone puts this is an entirely different direction for me. Great stuff. This is a big fight coming up. Sawyers doesn't need to be all over-the-top.

JACK HARMEN vs. PCP
Some very good lines this whole show. Loved the back and forth with Elise cutting her head open and tossing Harmen the chair. Very Eddie-like but it outsmarts the mentor who "out-smarted" them. I also like how this is still technically DEFIANCE vs. UTA, but feels more natural in terms of a story line that was built way before the InVasion.

ANOTHER PROPOSAL
I'm intrigued..................

ANDY MURRAY vs. DAVID HIGHTOWER
Jamie Sawyers jumping up and down on the apron, then reacting to the win like he's won the lottery, great stuff. Andy Murray was beaten coming into this and it took a cheap shot to take him down for good. Hightower comes across like a monster with blood frothing from his mouth. A huge put-over too, allowing Murray to take the pinfall.

MY GOD...
Jesus. Hightower overcomes a triple-team. More shit WWE would never do with their heels lol. An absolute monster. This was really well done and I love how everyone remains 100% committed to putting UTA over... even if this was written by one of the guys in charge who's directing us to do so. :)

WRESTLE UTA: CRIMSON LORD (C) vs. BRONSON BOX
I might have ended DEFtv with the segment above and saved this for the next show, given the in-house fighting and Kendrix's comments leaving a great impact in my mind. However, just my opinion there. Also was Box getting cheered at the beginning? I was a little unclear but this was clarified later on. However, my thoughts would be a mixed reaction at best... with the crowd wanting to cheer for Box, wanting to commit to him... but ultimately him not giving in right now. Seeing Box lose like that... stings for me lol. I'm on his side now.

OVERALL
Something struck me in the Stevens/Burns beat-down segment. "Angus: Where the hell is.. I dunno, anybody? We gotta stick together against these guys!" That made me think. Maybe this is a direction a future DEFtv show can go, because it makes sense. UTA is killing everyone and unless there's a DEFIANCE "committee" out there to make some saves, it might continue. Anyway just a thought. Great show. Not as great as the previous one, but that was going to be tough to match regardless. However, some very, very good impact on this show too. New Tag Team Champions. New number one contender. Lots happening. And that's even when a guy like Impulse takes a back seat on DEFtv. Hell, Calye too, to a point. Focus has been on UTA as a unit and what they've been doing.

Just going to do general notes in no particular order (though there may be something of an order.

--Really good tone to start the show with recent happenings. Box not immediately jumping on things was a bit of a surprise, but his reasoning is very sound and I would believe it.

--The Clash was a great follow-up to the opener and sets a great tone for the night. Unlikely as a wrestling criminal mastermind is great! Good stip for the Murray/Hightower match as well.

--...And speaking of that match and its aftermath. Holy shit, they made Hightower look like a legit threat to the FIST in the span of two weeks so great job to Murrr and Mikey about that, which I wonder how that would have happened since Gage holds a victory over him from the last PPV. I hope that's a story we go back to later on.

--Intriguing wins lately for Kerry Kuroyama and I'm looking forward to see how his (I'm assuming anyway) past history with the Reapers will come into play.

--I fucking love Charlie Ace/Hoyt Williams and his revolving door of clients has been great, though I echo other's thoughts that Max Billabong was great and I hope that becomes an idea that gets revisited. My thinking is the end game is Williams becoming his guy, but the journey hasn't disappointed at all so far. Keep up the good work here, Damian.

--I liked the idea of Calico Rose trying to get into Harmen's mindset but I think this might have come across better as an UNCUT thing. That aside, no issues with this one and a testament to Ford's writing ability to do goofy Harmen...

--Then do killer Harmen later on against his pupils. This was long, but I was into the story the whole way and I love how this ended with Elise of all people getting the proverbial duke over their mentor. I loved this.

--Don't know the Bastards' handlers exit and all that, but I will say that I am a LOT more intrigued with this turn of events with UTA guys holding DEF gold and what it has inspired me to do in that division, but that's for another time.

To my main point... BRUVS WITH GOLD! This was a great way to show how real the UTA threat is by having them come im and win gold from the get-go.

--Gage had a good night, seg wise and I'll be honest... I really dig the direction of Gage/Lisil. There's good apples in the bunch that is UTA, but Gage going after him totally makes sense with what's going on and it's a unique take on the guys coming in and invading DEF turf. Kudos to you guys for the creative way to start this off and can't wait to see what happens when you get going.

--Crimson Lord had a GREAT night coming off his title "win." His "More" demands in his segment were great and I think it would be an even killer tagline/catchphrase. Him replacing Warner with a UTA interviewer was a great heel move. And holy fuck, if a win over Bronson Box doesn't make you look credible, I don't know what will. I do think the Hightower/Murray match could have gone on last but I don't hate this match at all being where it is. Color me a big fan of him after two weeks. :)

--Everything about the Harvey/Douglas match was good and I also thought we were getting a title change here, but Bronson's involvement and the subsequent aftermath did such a great job putting over how bumfucked the DEF roster are right now with all the in-fighting.

--Won't comment on my own stuff other than to say I have a good partner for this feud and I've had a lot of fun doing it so far. Hopefully you guys enjoy it as well. Glad to keep working with you, sir!

Great show from top to bottom I think and I love how much on the same page we all seem to be with putting over the UTA guys and really selling this angle as something special. And we're only a couple shows in which makes it all the more awesome that it has flowed together well.

Beautiful reaction from Angus on the recent happenings, I like very much.

Enter the Bloodwell

This is EXACTLY what UNCUT is for! Great seg here by Scott, some serious character development from Crimson Lord, as he has now hired a Manager, wait…. No a guy! To hold the title and book his appearances. Good stuff, this is awesome.

The Return of Bruvcut!
Wrote this with Stevie, hope you enjoyed the return of the bruvs as much as we enjoy writing them.

Recovery:
HOLY FUCK! ROLAND! THIS IS BOMB! Blackwood is my #3 favorite face in DEF already. TOP THREE~! That’s amazing, this was super face moves here, wants to fight but is being stopped by the doc. GREAT GREAT GREAT Reaction seg from Blackwood. You’re going places homie. I can’t wait to beat you at the top….er…..MEET you at the top! ;-)

Quid Pro…
Seth was looking for something more to sink his teeth into, so we got to talking and he’s picking up this angle that started some time ago. This was awesome, and almost 100% seth. I just filled in the blanks on Mikey. Great stuff buddy, super stoked to watch this play out. Thanks for getting more involved in the angle.

Crime Scene
Chris Ross continues his assault on DEF wrestlers. I like having someone like this rolling around just blindsiding people. This gives more credence to Ross as a guy from the streets, as this is a very gang like mentality. Great stuff guys, glad to see Mushi back in the thick of things again.

SHOW OPEN
I think I wrote this.

LAST CALL
Good segment. Shows DEF folks coming together trying to make sense of the chaos that is coming down on them. I saw the call for this segment and the only reason I didn’t throw Scott in there was because I knew about the militia stuff coming up and thought the two might clash. I see that was a mistake. That being said this worked well and he wasn’t needed.

NO SMOKING
Wrote it.

SOOTHING THE WILD BEAST
Billabong is a handful to say least. Ace is usually good for a mouthful. Pause. Going back and re-reading for the beef - clearly this just another stop along Ace’s way to Managerial Greatness, but great read.

WE
Very interesting. Gives Crimson Lord more dimension or at least let’s the none UTA-fluent in on that dimension. I dig the scene set up in the beginning but it really makes me want to see another segment where we get the speech.

FIRST HAND TESTIMONY
Intrigue! I know too much to say anything else.

Uncut 29
SHOW OPEN
Wrote ‘em.

ENTER THE BLOODWELL
Same as last week, BIG scene that ends up in a smaller interaction. Scott’s selling the solidarity of the UTA mor-mans though and that works well. But I almost want to see what is happening at the exact same time with the other group or subsequent groupings. And groupies. Also, there were no groupies … a man rocking that kinda gear - where the rats at? I kid. Lord has an assistant. Feels like Corporate Crimson. Nice tie in to Larver’s appearance on DEFtv. My only beef is one tiny attention to detail, this ends with “Fading into the opening for DEFTV.” But DEFtv had a cold opening. Minor thing, but being it’s Uncut and it’s a clip show - no need to do anything other then “Fade to Black” “Cut” or anything of the sort.

THE RETURN OF...BRUVCUT!
The celebration and such. That bus line. Is that the first Glue Fist since the return? Good segment some great comedy spots in there and of course Mikey gives the great speech at the end. Almost feels like it would be the speech from CL’s segment last UNCUT. Heels, being delusional as they can be … is Mikey just giving the same speech after every show to spur them along? I’d like to think so.

RECOVERY
Blackwood seeing Dr. Davine. Nice mention/tie in to Scott’s deal, Graveyard seg and the general state of things. Also really sells the DEFIANCE fighting spirit, babyface rah rah we’ll get em gimmick. And the addition of Mushi at the end, along with the stuff mentioned above is a nice way of showing the whole crew is hurting. Also, even though there has been some groupings coming together, hits home the ol’ “divided we fall.”

QUID PRO…
Brother Lucius back on the scene. “I pick up what you’re putting down, guys.” - Hilarious. Only thing that could have made that better is [sips oreo frappe.] Some newish shit picking up here. We might end up with more factions than the arena can handle. Good thing the bus is still outside collecting parking tickets. Great ending as well. Sells the not knowing they are being filmed enough for the rassle graps.

CRIME SCENE
I’m all for UTA getting (well staying) over but this one for me was a little too much. One the one hand I like what it does for Chris Ross. On the other .. it’s a little much for Mushi. The surprise attack and subsequent beat down I’m cool with. But that coupled with the super humanizing portrayal of the God-Beast, mask loose - etc was a little much I think. I’m not one for 50/50 booking I hear it is called but at the same time we can’t tear down a monster if he is every going to be anything again at some point. Granted, I don’t know what this is leading too and it may be perfect for the outcome. All that aside I felt like the dialogue was too on the nose and bordering on cheesy.

The Beef from the East

DEFTV91
Creepy Edward
Got goosebumps reading this one, very easy to visualize. Great speech from both guys, Cayle is worn down and pissed, the UTA invasion is wearing on him. Eddie Dante is on fire with his spot here. Mushi is full on face right now, and that works with this context. Good schtuff.

The Rundown…

And it ran…. It ran so far away! (I’ll never get sick of this joke).

Brawl for All (1)
This was a fun segment. I loved the fired up Gage Blackwood laying down the challenge and turning the volume up on the feud right off the rip. Lisil jacksons spot was good too. Both men played up the accent without getting too bad, I dig it. I didn’t think the breaking the 2x4 over the knee did anything but make me roll my eyes, but the rest of this was stellar. Loving what Chris and Roland are doing.

Butcher Victorious vs Christian Caballero
Nice quick tv match. Good read, and a very standard match. Christian getting some life here in DEF lately, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Nice to see NPC’s get work. I dig the quick roll up win. Kudos to whomever wrote this.

Sponsored by:
This was genius whomever stuck this in here. I love you for this. Good heat.

??? vs The Dibbins.
Angus marking out was fantastic, I was laughing so hard at this match, especially the intro. Seth NAILED the Dibbins gimmick and Angus was by far the most entertaining part of the match, just because of the hyperventilating. You would think DEF won the war with this one alone LOL. Great match from Seth, DEFIANCE finally gets one back! Glad to see Team Hoss back!

Done Deal
Woah! There is so much turmoil and moving parts going on in the fed right now, it’s astounding. Good job from Justin (I think), THis was a great segment, and im intrigued on the Courtney Paz deal.

Chris Ross vs Elise Ares
Commentary was perfect in this match. I loved the “Elise can’t wrestle” stuff. Very very comical and served a good purpose. Make sure you guys use the correct pin formatting, otherwise this was a great storyline tv match. Jack Harmen keeping things interesting for PCP.

Stealing the Spotlight
Nicky Synz and CHristian Caballero building up for next week. Not sure who’s writing this stuff but it’s good! CHristian seems to be getting a handle, and coming into his own. I expect he will win next week, but we’ll see. Hopefully this is leading somewhere.

Brawl for All (2)
Continuity!

KK vs Harry Rose
Hahahahaha the finish of this one had me chuckling with the commentary. Good match KK is in an interesting spot, and growing. Justin (creepy) is doing GREAT work lately and im stoked to see what he’s got up his sleeve.

Interior Decorating.
Loved this interview. Dan Ryan is such a loathsome cunt. He still refuses to answer for his actions and now he handles lance Warner with the lack of respect that’s beffiting. Dan Ryan and Kendrix are an interesting pairing but I’m excited to see how the match goes. JFK riffing on the backdrop was hilarious, as well as continuing to explain the implosion of DEF from within. Good stuff.

This Needs to Go.
Ah…. A little continuity issue but the same idea is had. Get rid of the backdrop. Damn, would have loved to see these two segs get together, but who knew. No fault of anyone. Good stuff from Harvey and Lord.

Oscar Burns vs Jack Harmen
Wow what a back and forth match! This was a fun read, although I think it went a bit long in the tooth. Stevens playing a pivital role here was excellent and serves the angle well, was a little surprised not to see a PCP appearance especially after Elise was just distracted a few matches ago. Oh well. Great match, easy read, two amazing writers, nothing but love. Finish left Burns looking like a million bucks!

Three-Peat
Hahahahaha YES! What a little bitch Stevens is here! He’s such a good heel, wish we could have turned him months ago! Love this “I didn’t get beat” gimmick now that Burns turned the tables. Its really good to see DEF get some “wins” on this show, shows some fight back from the DEFIANTS. Good job boys

Those Subtle Footsteps…

I wrote this. Enjoy

Quo…
“Please say merc the bruvs!” Hahahahahaaha What a great baby face promo from the team Hoss boys. This is good entertaining stuff. I think Angus was louder than the crowd was in this. I see him with streamers, and Hoss glasses, and fireworks going off at the announce booth. Great way to bring this full circle, just last week on Uncut we saw No Justice No Peace, meet with Mikey for awhile, this is the reveal based on that. Good stuff Seth, so glad you picked this piece up and ran with it, this is getting good!

Kendrix and Ryan vs Impulse and Douglas
I was thrown off seeing Mikey’s theme song here, but UNITY!~ Loved the beginning of this and the assault on Scott Douglas from the word jump. This helps paint him as the badass who can take a beating. Great match, and a lot of fun to read. Kendrix and Ryan actually made a pretty good team, enjoy their different styles. Impulse with a nice hot tag but at the end of the day, Doyle going down was all it took for the UTA men to reign supreme. Good schtuff.

Brawl for All (3)
AWESOME! Great job! These guys tied together two feuds in a series of 3 segments, this was beautifully crafted, hats off to the trio. Loved ross coming in and being different than Lisil, and really enjoyed Mushi getting in on the action and DEFIANCE getting another 1up before the night is ova.

Dat 6 Man Tag:
Murrr wrote the shit out of this match, he killed it! Loved the dynamic between box and Murray. Cayle can’t wait to get in on the action and doesn’t need an entrance. Good storytelling. Triple referees is a genius way to “retain order” Cayle showing a new fire on this show, I love it, his emotions are getting the best of him, but it’s motivation for the FIST. in the end UTA takes it and David Hightower pins the fist. Big ramifications for the PPV? Wait… a minute… HERE COMES ERIC DANE! Loved what Justin did here, and established the War Games match. I’m so hype for this. And for the record, we had planned this before WWE announced theirs LOL

CREEPY EDWARD
Eddie Dante going in. Heck of a speech, I forget where but at some point I was sold and it went on a few more statements that didn’t hurt it but I didn’t feel were needed. That being said still great stuff. Murray’s role in this is perfect and makes for a good cold open this far into the UTA days of DEF.

RUNDOWN

Quick and to the point. Hyped the matches. Great opening song choice.

BRAWL FOR ALL (1)
Cool segment. I’m still not sold on the honorable Lisil. I guess it goes give some dynamics to UTA but I’m not sure if they need any other dynamic at this moment other than being dastardly douches. If he doesn’t need weapons “ta beat ya” than why’d he have it? Also, my least favorite wrestling weapon ever. Lisil still acting too face for me but that aside solid segment. I’m digging Blackwood and the accents were played well here.

CRISTIANO CABALLERO VS. BUTCHER VICTORIOUS
Great length for tv. Nice match overall. Don’t remember who wrote this or know what it’s working toward but good read.

SPONSORED IN PART BY
Angus no like Utah.

??? VS. THE DIBBINS
Good use of the news postings and well as remembering to tie in it on show. Had to google McPolyes. Reminded me why I hate that show. I dig the already in the ring deal, and the big entrance for Team Hoss. I think another time they were used or mentioned I may have said I’m not familiar but the way this was written really sold the big return. Angus especially. Flying Hossbody was great. And Hoss toss. Another great TV length and a strong match. Gives DEF at least one in the books, start to build some hope.

DONE DEAL
Paz finally gets someone to sign on. No clue what she is about to have BAF do or what the hell is happening here but it is certainly interesting. That last line really killed it to, “Understood, let them know that the plan to transition the protocol will begin shortly. The Variables are in place.” Something big is about to pop.

ROSS VS. ELISE ARES

Opening line from Angus confused me about McFuckass being off his screen. I know we moved some things around last minute - this is possibly a continuity issue based on that. Not sure why this is still trying to sell the UTA guys having music cues, they have contracts - no reason why they would not have music cues. I found parts of this match, especially the opening extremely confusing. Overall decent match and the fall out commentary really sells the heel schtick.

STEALING THE SPOTLIGHT
Small spacing issue in this one. Other than that more build up with BRAZEN folks and Charlie Ace pops in, always on the hunt for the big talent.

BRAWL FOR ALL (2)

Cool follow up from before. Interesting to see how it shakes out.

KERRY KUROYAMA VS. HARRY ROSE
The match was fine but the real story here is in the Reaper Co. HOPE angle. Digging what Creepy Justin is doing here and it’s getting a little Creepy. Angus lost me a little toward the end with the Underlevel stuff and the tag of cutting to it, I thought we were about to see some boiler room type situation but then re-reading I got what he was saying, but still didn’t get the cut to tag. Other than Justin is always on some next level super intricate shit. The little I know of all this I can’t wait to see it pay off.

INTERIOR DECORATING

Got a chance to see this one ahead of time since it was building toward the tag match. Dug the work, Stevie always kills it and Dan Ryan well is Dan Ryan.

THIS NEEDS TO GO

Soon as Dan Ryan left, Lance put his foot down. Got the DEF banner back up quick! We, as staff, should have fixed this at least in giving it some spacing. With so many handlers under the same banner there is no way one hand can always know what the other is doing. That being said we should watch it closer.

BURNS VS. HARMEN
Well written match. Written pretty evenly and several fantastic false finishes. Great fake out with Steven and the Michinoku driver. Gives you the hard hope spot and just when you think Burns is going to take one for DEF, donzo. Great read.

THREE-PEAT?
I was pretty solidly against this gimmick the first time, and a little less the second time … and now I’m cool with it. The commitment to fuckery has me sold on this more the ever. And as I type thought while reading, I get to the turn … which REALLY works well. So overall - I was wrong. This works as a whole.

THOSE SUBTLE FOOTSTEPS…
GREAT promo. Old school - right into the camera warring with words type shit. Super solid diatribe. I enjoyed thoroughly. Big man does what he should, stand there and look menacing while the one with the way with the words handles biz. A little strange Sawyers managed to keep his mouth shut but he plays the Clarence Mason spot here well!

...QUO
I had to read the transition from interview to action twice, more on the reader then the writer I think. Solid stuff. Love the title as a part duex of Quid Pro… on Uncut. NJNP out here like UTA mercenaries.

Pulse/Douglas VS. JFK/Ryan
Wrote with Stevie. It runs long for TV, which I apologize for but other than that I hope it works for everyone.

BRAWL FOR ALL (3)
Good segment, solid pay off for the other two. Chris Ross speaks in super long thoughts amidst action. He answers his own rhetorical line of questioning. Mushi in the house with more than a OSU.

ALL THEM VS ALL THEM
Great match. UTAnts was funny. “He’s fighting UTA. Of course they’re cheering, dummy.” Cayle comes in hot! DDK’s break from slight charecter “this is nuts” really sells this whole thing. The pin was quick and seemingly came out of no where. Great finish to the main event in this atmosphere. The fallout of course would lend to bigger things.

OVERALL
Solid show. I feel like some of the tropes are getting a little boring but overall everyone did a great job and the big pay off is coming soon.
