(Fade into a back alley at midnight where The Wraith stands under a small light illuminating the area whilst tapping his foot ever so slightly on the ground. He seems to become inpatient and the anger begins to build up inside of him when another man comes into the scene. He is a man only A1E fans would recognize as he begins to walk towards The Wraith. The Wraith notices him and strikes a leg forward but the man holds out his hand signalling for him to calm down.)

ANUBIS - Calm down, you will be ready to unleash your anger and frustrations soon.

WRAITH - You came to me wanting to my master and my mentor! Yet you keep your monster waiting for no good reason at all!

ANUBIS - Your master always has a reason for what he does. Never question him.

(The Wraith snarls and turns around whilst his master Anubis takes another step forward.)

ANUBIS - You did what you needed to do and now you must await your next task. Your next task is against a man who you should destroy in just a couple of minutes, but there is no need of taking him lightly as he wouldn't be in the second round for no reason. Your mission... get the job done as quickly as possible whilst making your statement.

WRAITH - It seems like it's a task of my liking, and my eagerness for the second round is already growing on me by the second.

ANUBIS - And when that time finally comes, you'll be able to do what you do best which is destroy your opponents and make them suffer. Then we'll go onto the next task and continue this mission.

WRAITH - Explain this mission you speak of.

ANUBIS - The mission of reaching the top and destroying anybody that stands in your way. You've already shown what you have done in A1E in such a short amount of time and now it's time to show it to the rest of the world. Why else would I have put you in this inter-promotional showcase in the first place?

WRAITH - To face the new competition. To beat the competition I have never stepped into the ring before.

ANUBIS - Not quite. It's to allow others from other places to feel the pain of the most destructive monster in this industry today. That's the real reason you are here.

(A sickening smirk is seen under The Wraith's mask.)

ANUBIS - Think of it like this, you have gotten the hardest challenge already out of the way. The Sergeant was a main contender in this tournament and you took him out in the first round. What else do you have to worry about? The Sergeant shouldn't be ashamed to be knocked out in the opening match by a monster like you, it was inevitable and its just a case of you deserving to progress more. In the end when this tournament is all said and done, the best man will win it. You just saved him from going through all the hassle of each stage to be inevitably knocked out which he was sure to do.

WRAITH - Why don't they give me them all in one match as whoever stands in the ring with me will be crushed and broken anyway.

ANUBIS - Because that wouldn't allow your next challenger to be swallowed up in his fear. After what they see you do in the ring people will become afraid of what you can do to them. Beating The Sergeant the way you did gave you the big push to move on and now everybody is aware of just what you are capable of.

WRAITH - Who is the next unfortunate soul to step into the ring with me?

ANUBIS - A man by the name of Jonathan Marx. You are over half a foot bigger then the man. You out-weigh the man by over a hundred pounds. Most importantly you are better then the man. His last match he took on a nobody so he's soon to get a sudden shock when he steps into the ring with you. Only if you give him the shock that is.

WRAITH - I'll give him much more.

ANUBIS - Most people underestimate you without even knowing it. They are aware of your strength and power but do not realize just how good it is until they actually feel it for themselves. Your strength and power is like none other and that's what you need to do inside that ring and get this thing over as quickly as possible. When you stand with your arm raised and looking down at that broken body on the ground, that is when you know your statement has been made.

WRAITH - Giving him punishment will not be a problem at all. Making him suffer will be accomplished in very little time. I come off a big win and he comes off one from a man who does not even deserve to be in this tournament, let alone a wrestling ring. He will soon be finding himself looking up into the ceiling and wondering to himself just how he managed to get himself into so much pain.

ANUBIS - That's one thing you do that nobody else can, and keep that consistency. People put there game up and down for different people but you treat them all the same. It doesn't matter whether this Jonathan Marx brings his best game or not because there isn't a chance in hell he can defeat the monster as long as he sticks to what he needs to do.

WRAITH - In this tournament I will obey your every command and I will do it to the full to make sure I have lived up to my masters expectations.

(Anubis smiles darkly towards his monster and then continues to speak.)

ANUBIS - Every man you stand in the ring with you give them all the same amount of punishment to get the job done. Why else would you want to stand in the ring? Why would you want to win a match but not feel good about doing it? Your all about impact Wraith and that's why you're to make another one against this Jonathan Marx by burying him into the ground and making him feel what it's like to be inches away from death. You've defeated The Sergeant and now this is your next task. Complete these tasks and then we will be able to move onto the next level. It's all one big game Wraith and you need to make sure you complete it.

WRAITH - I'll complete it the only way I know how.

(He does a hand signal of snapping something in half violently and begins laughing into the cold air. Anubis smiles and then withdraws into the darkness not to be seen as the scene fades to black.)

(Fade into a caged fence where a TEAM banner hangs loosely and blows slightly in the light wind. The Wraith stands darkly in the shadows looking down towards the floor before striking his head upwards allowing his hair to be thrown back and his evil mask to be unveiled. The wind begins to pick up as he takes a step forward out of the shadows and towards the camera.)

WRAITH - I've always been about punishment first and then victory later on. Winning has always been a second priority to me, ask anybody who walks the halls of the A1E, ask anybody who has come across me in the past. It takes time for people to realize this, but soon enough people in this tournament will begin to realize the amount of torture and pain I can to do ones body in just a single match. Soon people will see me as the threat I am and will even begin to fear the monster as they stare into his eyes from the other side of the ring. They will soon be stepping into a nightmare they are unlikely to forget anytime soon.

(He pauses for a moment as the wind begins to slow down.)

WRAITH - The suffering has always come first. Once I am satisfied with the pain my opponent has received then I will decide to call it a day. The Wraith can shape a match however he wants it to be shaped. He can determine what happens in a match and can determine your fate in an instant. He can decide whether you spend a week in hospital or just be left with a mental breakdown. I've been told I'm deranged and a freak for committing myself to these actions but the way I see them, I'm just making a loud impact to be heard by all.

(He sniggers to himself and then controls himself.)

WRAITH - That's all I've always been about; impact. Most of the time winning doesn't do anything for anybody. Only the most important wins will be recognised. After I knocked The Sergeant out he has become long forgotten. The world only takes notice of the finalist. The wins just go down in the history books and are never spoke of again. They become nothing more then a forgotten memory. I carry out these sadistic methods to allow my name to always be remembered. People remember the actions you do in the ring, they do not remember the wins you may have picked up in the past. That's why I make sure I do both. If it means tearing my opponents to shreds then I will do just that. I don't even need to think twice. It excites me to hear the screams and to see the crimson running down their faces. It pleases me to know people are feeling pain that they have never felt before and a feeling they will never forget anytime soon.

(An eerie smirk appears under his face as he holds his hand out and grips the cage fence with excessive force making his muscles in his arm tensed.)

WRAITH - What I do to you at this next stage of the tournament Jonathan Marx should not be looked upon being anything personal. It's just doing business and the same business I do to everybody who dares step into the ring with me. Everybody in that ring gets treated the same. It doesn't matter whether you are a world champion or some guy who cannot lace up his boots, you all get the same treatment. The Wraith puts his game down for nobody and everyone gets their fair share of punishment that comes their way. It's just the way I operate, the way I've always operated. In case you haven't seen what I have done to my opponents in the past, you might want to take a look and see just what I have in store for you.

(He again smirks whilst nodding his head up and down for emphasis.)

WRAITH - You have an advantage over The Sergeant as he didn't know what to expect and he hadn't seen The Wraith's powers before. You've had your chance to see what I can do in that ring when I took down the EPW Intercontinental Champion in the very first stage. He put up a fight just like everybody else did but he soon found himself in the same position. Even though you have seen what I can do, it has very little effect in the way this match ends when we meet in the ring. In the end all you can do is know what to expect and that is all. You can't change a thing, its in your destiny to stand before The Wraith and to fall before The Wraith. You stand in the way of my progression but you will soon be removed. You will not be asked to move aside, you will be put aside as The Wraith's path of destruction continues on and your journey in this tournament comes to a sudden end.

(He removes his hand from the fence and takes a step forward towards the camera staring into it with seriousness to grab peoples attention.)

WRAITH - Whilst I step into the ring I bring something new to the table. I'm unlike any man that has ever stepped into this tournament before and that will take me to success. You Jonathan Marx are just like everybody else. In The Wraith's eyes you are nothing more then a man that needs to be moved aside just like everybody else. A champion is a man who is different and a man nobody can match up to. In this case I'm a monster that cannot be slowed down by anybody. You are just another obstruction in my way just as there are many more. I just wait to move each one aside when they come. You are next Jonathan Marx and when I finish with you, I await the next man that dares to step before me and then continue the process all over again.

(He walks out of view to his side as the camera watches the TEAM banner continue to blow in the strong wind. A thunderstorm is heard in the distance as rain begins to patter down onto the ground gently as the scene slowly fades to black.)

Monster Battle

::Jonathan Marx is casually strolling down the road and fearful Brandon Jacobs is by his side in Tokyo as Japanese citizens are running away in the opposite direction in terror::

BRANDON JACOBS: What the hell is going on?

JONATHAN MARX: There seems to be some mass hysteria going on. I’ll use my best Japanese and ask what is going on.

::Marx grabs the arm of a fearful teenager running by::

JONATHAN MARX: <Why is everyone running away in fear? Is Godzilla raiding the city?

JAPANESE TEENAGER: WRAITH! WRAITH IS COMING! ::Marx lets go and the teenager runs off::

BRANDON JACOBS: Quickly Jonathan, someone needs to summon Mecha-Wraith before its too late! Hand me your cell phone!

JONATHAN MARX: There is no need. I can handle Wraith.

BRANDON JACONS: I DON’T THINK YOU UNDERSTAND! The small fate of small breasted women everywhere is in our hands… if we fail, the epidemic could even spread over to Japan. The Anna Ohuras and Sakura Senas could be no more.

::Marx slaps Jacobs across the face::

JONATHAN MARX: Get a hold of yourself good man. Don’t you realize you are talking to same man who fought Maelstrom & Dan Ryan toe to toe and never flinched? I’m not scared of Wraith, I’m not scared of anyone with al the wars I’ve been through in my life.

BRANDON JACOBS: He is a monster!

JONATHAN MARX: The toughest men in the world aren’t giants. They are the quick, the agile, trained in the fundamentals of grappling and MMA and I know them both. They know how to use their brains to over come brawn and then they train like a mad man to become the best physical specimen that they can be. It is like the story of Beowolf, there was this monster that everyone feared that terrorized everywhere he went named Grendel that nobody thought could be beat. But after all the pomp and circumstance, the better trained Beowolf ripped off Grendel’s arm and left him a bloody mess to die. Beowolf made one mistake though, he showed the monster mercy and didn’t finish him off and that lead to his downfall. I won’t show that same compassion Wraith. I will put him away without mercy. Come on Brandon, lets go slay a monster!

::Jonathan Marx in walking down the hall of hospital, after paying a visit to one of his father’s old friends. He walks by the room of a child, who is sleeping who all of a sudden wakes up startled and calls out for help. Marx, dressed in a tux for event later that evening peers his head and comes in and sits down next to the terrified boy::

JONATHAN MARX: Are you okay? You look absolutely horrified. What is wrong?

::Marx sits on his bed and begins to talk to him::

SICK BOY: I had this horrible dream that this monster was coming for me, I keep on running but he wouldn’t stop following me and he backed me into a corner.

JONATHAN MARX: Monsters aren’t real. They are simply figments of your imagination. By getting scared, you just give them power.

SICK BOY: He had two heads and sharp teeth. He was ugly as hell and he kept on glaring at me with such hatred in his eyes. Blood was dripping out of his mouth. It was something out of a horror novel.

JONATHAN MARX: Well, you don’t have anything to be afraid of, I’m the NEW World Heavyweight Champion. I’ve taken on some awfully mean men. I’m as tough as they come and smart as a whip.

SICK BOY: I recognize you from TV. You are Jonathan Marx, that smart guy who can wrestle… where is Jacobs?

JONATHAN MARX: He is supposed to meet me at the party. Holly and Brandon went in a separate car. I had an old friend I had to visit. What is your name?

SICK BOY: Alfred, but my friends call me Alf for short.

JONATHAN MARX: Well Alf, it is nice to meet you.

SICK BOY: Do you ever get scared?

JONATHAN MARX: We all get scared once in awhile. I use to a lot more when I was a kid.

ALF: What are you afraid of?

JONATHAN MARX: When I was a few years older than you, my Mom started to get sick. I never really ever got scared for myself, but there is nothing more terrifying than seeing someone you love and not being able to help them. She battled a real monster.

ALF: Did she get better?

JONATHAN MARX: Unfortunately, she wasn’t one of the lucky ones. But you know what? She stared her sickness down and fought it with everything she had. She fought it six months longer than even her doctor expected her too.

ALF: She sounds like she was a tough cookie.

JONATHAN MARX: She was and after seeing what she went through, I was never afraid of monsters again. Never give up fighting Alf, even when they say you can’t win. You give that monster all that you have. You never know what you can do unless you try.

ALF: What if the monster gets me though?

JONATHAN MARX: A tough little guy like you? Never. That monster has more than he can handle. Just keep on believing.
