Weird. I did the same thing when I worked for office depot. Except it wasn't a knife... It was a pair of scissors. Ironically it was roughly in the same spot as your wound

You'll have that with knife wounds of any kind on the hand area. I used to cut mine up pretty bad when I worked on conveyor belts underground. They gave us so many knives to use on the belts, and expected us to wear our gloves while cutting. Anyone here ever worn a pair of bulky gloves and tried to cut something? No? It doesn't work...
