I still need one or two more judges for the round one matches, so if anyone's available and willing, PLEASE post here or PM me ASAP and I'll get assignments out to you quickly. As soon as I have judging done for round one, those results will go up, round two threads will go up and I'll get to work on West/East round two results.

What is the judging criteria? How are roleplays graded? How many judges are there per match?

Judging criteria has much to do with the quality of the character. For example, if somebody RPed a wrestler named Problem Child, you might want to give them some extra points for being unique. As far as how roleplays are graded, I'd say innovation is key. Like, for example, if you had one character named Problem Child, and he's facing someone named, I dunno, Jared Wells let's say...and Wells photoshopped a picture of a chick, but Problem Child re-photoshopped her to give her a black eye, that would probably be enough to get Problem Child the win. I'm just giving examples here, this could go for anybody.

But generally speaking, here's what we look for in a good RP:

-Character comes out to themes by the Deftones
-Character is involved in RPs where he digs up former title belts out of the sand
-Characters named Problem Child
-Characters with mullets

Hope this helps,

Billy

LOL!! The photos are just for entertainment value. It brings a some visual color to the page when you read. Quality RP should always be ruled over a photo. In fact, in Jared Wells first RP in TEAM he doesn't even mention, "FADEIN", or anything about a picture in his RP. It is simply just eye candy for the topic. If you smile or laugh over the picture, I've done my job :p

The wrong side of the bong slide.
Let's get some folks to step up here. This tournament's had fabulous momentum so far, and we want to avoid the kind of lags that put the hurt on previous Dupree Cups and ToC's.

IF YOU AIN'T PLAYIN', JUDGE THAT SH*T.

Ditto on what Paul said. Although I thought the rule was active participants in the tournament aren't allowed to judge... but if that's changed, then I'm up for judging.

Still need one more who ISN'T still active in the tournament for the first round, plus I'm still waiting for results from one committed judge. If I don't have someone by the time I get home tonight, I'll use folks who are still in the tournament for the sake of expediency. As soon as I have first round judging, the call will go out for second round judges.

Just give me the other match since this has dragged on entirely too long.

If it's for a match that I've already judged then, I guess I can't be of any help. Unless you make my vote count twice. Heh.

Shinder's having problems logging into the forums and had work stuff come up. He's still waiting on one more committed judge to get his picks in because there are matches that are tied. He said he hoped to have results this weekend.

And that's all the update that I can provide, since that's all that I know.

Finally got my login problems resolved, but yeah, that's what I've been waiting for. That said, results for the first round tomorrow, with threads for the second round up shortly after. Results for the first wave of the second round could be up as early as Monday.

Sorry for the LONG delay, but first round results are up and second round threads are up! West/East second round results will go up in a couple days once judging is in. I only need one more judge for three matches, so if anyone wants to volunteer, let me know.
