Facing the unknown...
In front of a promo booth set up for pre-taped interviews, Andrew Gilkison stands. He begins to speak.
For the first time in the history of my career, I am stepping outside the safe cozy confines of the A1 Circuit and heading into uncharted waters.
The TEAM Invitational Tournament.
I am glad to be here, because it is just a part of what I’ve been doing ever since I stepped back into this sport of ours, which is taking on the very best it has to offer and beating them right in the middle of the ring.
I am going to cut through this tournament, and beat everyone they put in front of me. This round, I will start with some guy who calls himself “Sheik Nasty”.
I got to admit, I don’t know anything about Shiek Nasty. I don’t know who he is, or what he is.
That is because my esteemed opponent forgot to post a profile somewhere. That tells me two possible things about this guy.
1. He is too lazy to put together a profile.
2. He is banking on the element of surprise.
Well, let me address that first one right now.
Shiek, if you are too lazy to put together a profile, then that means that you will most likely be lazy inside that ring against me. That, my friend, is a mistake, because I am going for nothing less than a decisive victory over you.
So I suggest you get your ass in gear, before it is too late.
Now as for that second possibility... the one that has you trying to keep yourself all mysterious in order to catch me unawares...
Sorry, but that is just not going to work.
I don’t care what you look like, or what moves you use.
You could be an alien with three heads and four dicks, and it won’t change the fact that your shoulders are going to be pinned to the mat.
For every question in the universe, there is an answer. That means that any opponent can be defeated. There is no such thing as an unbeatable opponent.
Whatever strategy I have to employ, I will employ it.
Whatever risks I have to take, I will take them.
Whatever moves or holds I have to use, I will use them.
Whatever bones I have to break, I will break them.
Whatever fatal mistake you make, I will sink my teeth into it like a shark spelling blood in the water and put you away.
If you want to doubt my abilities to win, go ask the owner of Empire Pro Wrestling what I am capable of doing inside the ring. Just last week, his shoulders were pinned by me after I dropped him on his head from the top rope with a DDT and nearly broke his neck.
You may have a far worse fate in store for you, Shiek.
Andrew F’N Gilkison is here to kick ass and take names, and you are the first one in line. Get your excuses ready.
The camera fades to black.
