Gemini vs Poe

Apocalypse later

Off TV broadcast.

Somewhere in America.

Backstage.

Gemini.

And he's happy.

Some poor bastard got to wrestle him tonight. And somebody got to pay the price no doubt. They talk about him in the locker rooms in the indys. The schizoid tornado. Wreaking havok where ever he goes. He's got a million nicknames too. Snaphappy. Two Face. Wrecking ball. Elephant man.

Flashcut. Mutliple shots. Gemini bleeding. Gemini belting someone. Gemini throwing a body from the ring. Gemini smashing a light tube across someone's face.

Elephant man?

Why Elephant man?

Is it the misshapen body? The massive oversized arm? The fact that he revels in his freakishness?

Gemini flexes the arm for a video. It's massive and grotesque and compelling. He smiles, the smile a distorted savage grin.

Nope.

They call him the Elephant man because he never forgets.

Never forgets his friends. Never forgets his enemies. Never forgets or forgives any slight... real or imagined.

Another black and white shot, Gemini points at somebody off camera, fury in his eyes.

When they announced the supercard pairings at GXW headquarters, staff braced for a tantrum. A wreckage. A fury. A berzerker. Some of the staff were privately concerned. Apocalypse had flitted in and out of the spotlight for years. Gemini had carried the company on his back at times. It seemed like a slap.

Not to Gemini.

He sent Chad a bottle of 30 year old single malt scotch and Erik a... keg.

Why so happy?

Nobody seems to know but him. And for once, he's really quiet.

Sideswipe, black and white, Gemini sits in a leather chair, smiling smugly.

He's been clamouring for a Dan Ryan match for months. He's dying to pay back Christian Sands in pain. He's been sniffing after the tag team titles... Yes, the TAG TEAM TITLES!!! for damn near a year. And they gave him Apocalypse?

It seems like a slap to some.

Not to him.

He's happy. He's quiet. And that just makes everybody nervous.

What does the Elephant Man have on his mind anyways?

Fade in, a empty arena. A lone distorted figure standing in a empty ring staring at the floor. A piano tinkles gently in the background. The camera closes in a bit, and a flicker of orange starts to creep along the ring ropes. The camera slashes in for a close up and suddenly the ring is in flames, the orange lighting illuminating a smiling madman.

Gemini extends his arms in a gleeful gesture. This is his element. He revels in this. Third degree burns rage along the ring ropes a few meters in every direction and the piano still tinkles away in it's peaceful, thoughtful melody.

It's an Apocalypse all right.

We're just not sure for who.

Apocalypse Now

{London …

As the night falls upon those who walk the streets at night, so does it engulf the other surroundings. Buildings, alleyways, and other darkened areas in which mothers and fathers have told their children ‘Don’t go into the dark because it is scary.’

This night was no different. In fact one might say it has been amplified.

The camera cuts to one of the empty back streets in London and a familiar figure can be seen walking into the scene. Recognized by his unmistaken blue hair, ‘The Apocalypse’ Gabriel Poe makes his way into the lens of the camera and nothing but amusement can be seen on his face. Rare for Gabriel Poe considering he has lived his life feasting off of the fear of others, but this time around he knew things would be different. He knew this because of his opponent Gemini and their classic encounters in the past. If one was to trace the roots of their battles then they could look no further but into the sacred halls of NthWA. There, if you look into the history books, one would see the classic yet horrifying battles between Gemini and Poe. Poe treasured those days because the pain he inflicted on Gemini back then …

… He wanted to continue the pain and his request has finally been answered …

GP: Gemini … I have heard people say that you are happy that we shall meet in another epic battle. Perhaps your memory serves you wrong, but the last time we met I destroyed you so bad that I left you a shell of your former self … yet you are happy.

I have heard people say that facing The Apocalypse is considered a slap in the face to you. Granted the people I have heard this from do not understand our history do they? Considering we are doing our own in returning to GXW … taking our separate roads to return to make it one to remember … how fitting that it is that we face eachother in London for their next Pay Per View. I’m sure that even we can convince the doubters that this slap in the face … is one they would never desire to receive.

Actually Gemini you should know me by now. Does it really matter what I hear? Does it matter what they say? Let them speak their asinine words for they do not matter. What matters is having the chance, once again, to get you in the ring and finish something I should’ve finished long ago. Seeing you walk around … your tormented soul … your desire to inflict pain … not only onto others, but onto yourself as well …

No Gemini … this time around I shall call for your extinction from life as you know it … and I shall have it.

For too long have you walked around, not just in GXW, but also in life as a whole and talk about how you are the most psychotic person on the planet. That nothing can stop you once you set your … minds. That, once in motion, the being known as Gemini cannot be stopped …

Too bad, for our moment in the Nth … you WERE stopped, but now I go for the final and fatal strike that will extinguish your internal flame once and for all.

So play your piano Gemini and enjoy your last playful moments … for I am waiting. The Apocalypse is waiting for you Gemini and you cannot escape. Your card has been drawn and your genocide awaits …

{Poe gives one last look towards the camera before it eventually fades out.}
