((FADEIN: New ERA of Wrestling Offices. The camera slowly creeps through the doorway of Acting President Marcus LaRoque's door. He is on the phone, but as he sees the camera he beckons them to come in.))
LaROQUE: "Yes, we'll send our lawyers over very shortly to finish up the paperwork and make sure everything is legal. Your stips are in there, don't worry. See you soon."
(LaRoque hangs up the phone and rests back in his chair, a smile coming across his face.)
LaROQUE: "So this is it, eh? The big time. I've always wanted to have my own place. Run it my own way. (pats two files on his desk) Get my own talent.. And now I have it. New ERA of Wrestling is on its way of starting up."
(The door flies open and Juliet Marceau walks in wearing a woman's business suit. Her blonde hair is tied up in a pony tail in the back. She storms up to his desk and slams another file on the table.)
MARCEAU: "What is this?!"
LaROQUE: "Ah, I see his paperwork has come in. Right in time, too. I'm about to announce our first signees."
MARCEAU: "I don't think that he should be here."
LaROQUE: "Thanks for the input, toots, but I want him here."
MARCEAU: "Toots? I'll sue your ass for sex discrimination.."
LaROQUE: "Don't forget this is the only place that'd give you a job. (smiles) Toots."
MARCEAU: "Argh! Fine, you wanted him, you got him. But I'm going to make sure that he's gone very soon.."
(Marceau storms out the door and slams it behind her. LaRoque rolls his eyes and sits straight in his chair.)
LaROQUE: "Now that we've been public for a few days, I have had a couple of calls about prospective employment. Of course, it wouldn't be very businesslike to disclose those who have contacted me until they sign contracts. But as of right now, New ERA of Wrestling does have three signed and ready to go talents."
(LaRoque picks up three files and places them on the table. He opens the them and looks down.)
LaROQUE: "Ah yes, first up we signed a very polite man. One who will surely make a big impact here in New ERA.. 'Gentleman' Jonathan Marx has the distinction of being the very first man on the New ERA of Wrestling's roster. (puts his finger up) BUT... coming in a very close second was one of the most electrifying talents I have ever seen. 'The PHENOM' Shawn Hart has also signed on with New ERA. And last, but certainly not least, (smiles) especially for Juliet, the third official signee is a man who is one of the most gifted technical talents in wrestling today. Larry Tact finished his application process today, and (pats a file) We just got it finalized."
(LaRoque's phone rings.)
LaROQUE: "Now, as you can see, I'm a very busy man. We'll have more time to discuss new signings as we validate each one. Until then, au'revoir.."
((FADEOUT: As LaRoque picks up his telephone. He talks happily for a second, before turning serious and spinning his chair around so the camera cannot catch a glimpse of what he is saying.))
